Checking them out was a lesson in patience. We arrived while another group was getting set up to go snorkeling- and that was a decent wait. The group ahead was very thoroughly trained in their gear down to "here's how you apply sunscreen".....Staff are VERY thorough and the computer system was VERY slow. So don't come in a rush brah. We also appreciated that he didn't charge us until after the tour - that shows real integrity. We weren't sure the conditions of the water and wouldn't be charged if it was too murky to see anything. Very quick and easy process. No forms to fill out. This is the cheapest place to rent bikes for the bike path. The bikes are rough "island bikes" ... but you are renting it for a few hours not buying it!! No upsells here. If you want a basket on your bike then grab one with a basket. $20 for 4 hours. The other rental place nearby charges an extra $5 for each basket! Plus they charge $10 more for the rental too. Why pay more? Grab a bike at Kauai Snorkel and ride all the way to Donkey Beach. Or make it an 'adventure' and ride to the end of the road past Donkey Beach then hike 15 minutes further to Secret Cove. Chances are you will have it all to yourself!

Shannon picked us up. We came to Kauai October 2014 on Crown Princess. We were there only 1 day and all dive shops advised that we docked too late to go on any of their boat dives. The few that would do beach dives required us to get to them. Shannon picked us up at the cruise port. They would only let her in the gate to where the car rental shuttles were picking people up, but we found each other and got off to a great start. She drove a long way with a short stop at a dive shop to a great cove that seemed to be an old boat ramp drive in entry. We suited up and she had us plan the dive to dive the rim of the cove one side and go across to dive the rim of the cove coming back into shore on the other side. The fish were great ... so were both turtles. She pointed out a scorpion fish hiding in a coral fan. It was an awesome dive. She would have done a 2 tank dive if we had wanted to. Price: $125 and that included everything, all equipment, snacks, fruit juices, including driving us there and back to the ship. I HIGHLY recommend Shannon. We did the group lesson with another couple who was also honeymooning. Our instructor Ikaika was very friendly and a good teacher. We got all the gear you need: booties for the sharp rocks, rashguards and some good surfboards for beginners. Some of the most important lessons were taught out of the water with Ikaika giving good feedback. Once in the water, Ikaika helped us judge the surf and guide us into waves.
