I have been going here for years and I can say that this is for sure my favorite Mexican spot in the Brainerd/Baxter area. Reasonably priced food, with many options on the menu. My only complaint is that the main room can get a little loud at times but that's not the businesses fault, if you are looking for a quieter evening this probably wouldn't be my first pick. Service is always fast and good, I have gone here multiple times and they have never messed up my order. read more

Brand new Mexican restaurant in the former Log Cabin Cafe. Food was delicious. Best Mexican food I've eaten in the Brainerd area. Alejandro's Molcajete was delicious! The chicken and steak were very tender and full of flavor. Chicken in the chicken soft taco was so flavorful. Huge menu with lots of options including lunch specials. Wait staff was really friendly. I added some raw veggies from my friend's plate. Her entree was supposed to be grilled chicken. It was obviously sliced, breaded chicken patty, on some sad lettuce. We couldn't even eat it. This place is just a flop house all around. If you want good Mexican food go to el tequila. The manager will bully and harass you if you don't like the food. He will send his cooks after you on social media to bully and harass you if you don't like their food. It's quite concerning considering they are all credible threatening messages that are uncalled for. You can't harass or scare someone in to liking your food. Get better at cooking and managing. Great atmosphere. The chips and salsa are very tasty. The meal I ordered wasn't what I was expecting and I didn't really like it. But that's not their fault I just didn't read exactly what it was I was ordering. But the pieces of steak were amazing. They are a new restaurant and I'm sure they are in the works in updating the outside of the building. When we went there it took awhile to find it cause there isn't any signage outside. Just says "the log cabin" which was the name of the previous restaurant. Overall very excited to have another Mexican restaurant option around and will try them again. read more

We ate there tonight for the first time. We walked away stuffed and happy. The food came so quickly that we barely made a dent in the chips and salsa. We had mixed fajitas and a burrito. This place is the only place we will go for Mexican. All the others in Brainerd Baxter don't compare. The staff is super friendly and the food is authentic and delicious!. Delicious, really! And the food comes out lightening quick. I like the chimichangas with beef tips, but they also have a great burrito with pork tenderloin simmered in beer! The portions are a great size, they have good specials, fabulous margaritas, and the owner s very nice. Great addition to the downtown area. I'm so glad that it's there. My first impression of the place wasn't good. The tables and chairs looked dirty. Senor Patron may be new to Brainerd, but their furniture is not. As part of my order, I had a pork burrito. I'm used to pork dishes at Mexican restaurants to be made from pulled pork and spicy .. hotter than other dishes. This was my first visit and I probably should have asked before ordering. My wife and I have eaten here too many times to mention in their first two months of being open. While the decor and layout isn't the best the food is fantastic! Everything from the fresh salsa and chips to the fajitas and everything else we have tried on the menu has been delicious.
