Really enjoyed our meal at Ryla! The ambiance strikes a great balance: lively enough for a date…read morenight or dinner with friends, but quiet enough to actually have a conversation. The service was good. From the second I walked in the host greeted me and offered to seat me at my table even though my friends hadn't arrived yet. Once we were all seated, we ordered cocktails and a few initial starter food items, which came out promptly. I got the Herby Bangkok for my cocktail and it was well balanced and tasty. My friends got the sichuan opera and the mango sticky rice. Both of these were great as well. The sichuan opera was quite spirit forward with the mezcal. And the mango sticky rice tasted delightful, however, we thought it would be a bit more milky in taste considering it had mango clarified with milk in it. The Hokkaido milk bread was a standout. So fluffy, with the perfect touch of sea salt on top, and the tobiko nori spread added such delicious umami flavor. The Korean spare ribs were another favorite. Wow, no notes. Juicy, tender and packed with flavor. Don't miss these! We also loved the Hokkaido scallop roll, especially the combination of truffle and yuzu. The black truffle fried rice was so good I could have eaten the entire bowl myself. The seasonal corn special felt like their take on elote and was excellent, too. The karaage came with a dipping sauce that I believe was black sesame, which complemented it nicely. The yellowtail sashimi was good, with generously sized cuts, though it didn't feel particularly unique. The golden beet salad was light and refreshing, and while the goat cheese mousse was a little more watery than I would have liked, the flavors were still tasty. We finished with the matcha tiramisu, which was delicious. There were plenty of dishes I'd happily come back for, especially those ribs, the milk bread and the fried rice!

4.5 stars. Amazing food. We had some great cocktails and food for lunch over the weekend…read more For the cocktails, I really liked the Grandma's Cigarettes and Alexander the Grape. For the food, the Hokkaido milk bread was amazing. Hot chicken karage was excellent. The pork bun bao and tuna poke tostada were also very tasty and flavorful. The fried rice was excellent too, It was really well done, balanced, and had great flavor. I would order all of these things again. Of course, the thing that I was super impressed by was the matcha tiramisu that they have. The presentation, the taste, and the balance: you can actually taste the matcha, but at the same time, it's not too much matcha, and it's not very sweet. That was very well done. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside in the small area that they have just at the entrance. The bar area and the special room that they have all look so wonderful. The only thing that I got a little surprised by was that the bathroom was really dark. Of course, the fact that I was sitting outside in the sun and going straight to the restroom, which was very dark for about a minute or two, meant I really could not see anything in there. The two things that we did not enjoy, per se, were the oysters and the salmon nigiri.

They took the time to answer my questions, made great recommendations, and made me feel like a valued customer instead of just another order. The drinks were delicious, the prices were very reasonable, and the customer service was outstanding. You can tell they truly care about creating a positive experience for everyone who walks in. If you're looking for a tea spot with great drinks, great prices, and even better employees, I highly recommend stopping by. Thank you, Illy and Liz, for making my visit such a fun one--I can't wait to come back!

Other Sharetea locations still carry them and they seem pretty popular, so maybe they just weren't as popular at this location. We decided to give them another shot because I was craving boba, but when we got there we were told they were completely out of boba. I was honestly confused. It was around noon on a weekend, so how is a boba shop already out of boba? The employee just said they were out and didn't mention that more was being made or that it would be ready in a certain amount of time. At that point, we ended up going to another boba spot in Palmdale and had a much better experience. Between our favorite items being discontinued and now coming in on a Saturday afternoon only to find out they're out of boba, I think we're done giving this location another try. There are other boba places nearby that have been much more consistent for us.
