I ordered from here last minute for Mother's Day this was the only spot that was still taking orders online that was not that far. So I ordered the big box chilaquiles and also the wet burritos they both were with birria of course! And they did not disappoint! They were delicious! The big box chilaquiles were more then enough we got boxes for a family of 10 and we had some left over they were portioned right it had a over easy egg on top of the chips and a side of avocado slices bomb! The burritos were also really good! A lot of meat! Pricing was right for the quality for sure! This spot is small and in the corner of the shopping center so seating is limited for big parties. The service was 4 out 5 they really try my only gripe was they left the chilaquiles out for a while before they even had the burritos ready so they were really cold but not a deal breaker. I do recommend this spot!

Excellent food, tortillas are freshly prepared with your orders, Birria was delicious. The server was very high energy, very nice and she was really happy to help us with our questions. Brought our order to the table and fish tacos were full size and flavor to compliment, hand made tortillas too just add to the authentic flavor. Birria was broth and full flavored, spiced and seasoned right on point. The location is hidden in a small corner of the plaza, plenty of parking. Casual dining vibes where you can relax for a quick bite.

Señor Birria is hidden in a little shopping center. There's plenty of parking. Stopped by while I was in the area for a soccer game and really liked this spot. The vibe is chill, the music playing was good to enjoy with the fam. You order up front and they bring the food out to your table. They have aguas frescas, Mexican bottled sodas, beer, and micheladas. The horchata tasted authentic, and the michelada was made perfectly. The tacos were sooo good. I loved how crunchy they were, and the tortillas are handmade. The beef was soft, flavorful and had none of that gamey taste or extra squishy stuff some places have. They only had one salsa but honestly it was the perfect one for the tacos. The purple onion curtido had a nice kick, I could taste the fresh oregano. I'm deff glad I stopped by and would come back when I'm in the area again.

Was my first time.at this place and the food was great! I had a birria burrito and it was very tatsty, flavorful, meat was tender and generous portion. The horchata was awesome! The place is spacious and the service is good.

AMAZING food. This place looks really hidden and is a small place but with enough tables to sit and eat. The prices are average but it's worth the quality and flavor! Parking is easy since it's in a plaza. I 100% recommend the birria egg rolls and their salsa is really good and actually spicy. It is in a self serve area with the limes which is nice.

The restaurant and dining area was very clean. The service was fast. With one person working the register, she was explaining the menu to first time customers in either English or Spanish, took phone orders, bagged and served up the orders, kept the condiment bins full and in between rushes, cleaned the tables. She was fantasti. The Birria tacos were good too. Can't wait for a return trip to try their other items.

I was in the area and I entered this place. I asked the cashier if the birria was beef? She didn't respond, she just made an upset face. I don't like goat meat so much, for that reason I asked. I asked her again and she said beef. Then I asked for my order to take out. The birria tastes very good, the cost of the tacos is good, I ordered quesabirrias. Which is cheese and birria tacos. Outside they have plenty of parking in the mall. I liked it, the only thing to improve would be customer service. It looks clean and organized.

The Taco Tuesday deal is unreal for $1 birria tacos. Also got a small Consome for $4 which had generous amount of meat in it. The meat was tender and the sauces . Each taco was quite filing due to the amount of meat. The takeout experience was also seamless.

Was looking for a birria spot and I think I found one! Ordered the ramen birria, dorado taco and a birria bowl. Flavorful and good portion, not too pricey. Best Taco Tuesday deals I know of. But that doesn't say much because we don't frequent taco places as much because my picky eating kids. Anyway, the soft birria tacos are really good and flavorful. I would come every week if I live close by

Really solid spot for all things birria. The varieties of tacos are awesome, and this has quickly become a go-to when I venture over to Downey. Overall, I think it is very good, but just as much at it is perfect for birria, they're also really just a one trick pony. Come here for that, and really nothing else... but that's more than enough. read more

This place is an amazing hole in the wall birria restaurant. I ordered the birria tacos, consume, quesotaco, birria fries, mulita, and horchata. The consume is soooo delicious! The broth has good flavor with lots of birria pieces in it. It's not salty or overpowering like other places. Make sure you get a large! (5/5) The birria fries were huge, definitely good enough to share. The bottom had nacho cheese and was topped with fresh avocados, cilantro, and onions. (5/5) Between the taco and the quesotaco i would just go ahead and get the quesotaco, dip it in the consume and you get a really juicy tasty bite! Down it with some cold horchata and you're good to go :) (5/5) BTW staff is friendly, attentive, and quick (5/5) I live about 25 minutes away but would definitely drive back to Downey for some Señor Birria!!! read more

By far the best Birria I've tasted in LA! If you're in a hurry order ahead online. I've ordered calling-in and they get busy so a lot of times you end up having to call multiple times to get a hold of someone and if you walk-in the line can get pretty crazy. The birria and broth were on point! So frkn good. We ordered some quesatacos: corn tortillas with birria and melted cheese... but it's soggy. We also ordered the tacos dorados: nice and crispy corn tortillas... but without the cheese. Now, if only they made one that is a combination of both... then we'd have a 5star review here. read more

The fiance is in love with these birria tacos. It's nowhere near our house, but he makes the long trek out to grab a few plates every couple of weeks. I do have to say, they are mighty tasty and have generous portions of meat. The last time I went, he accidentally double ordered online, so we ended up in a strong taco coma afterwards. It was worth it though, and this is thus far our favorite birria taco joint. read more

Saw the 4.5 rating and thought I'd overlook the few haters that rated it badly. Best decision! It was delicious! We had the birria ramen, quesatacos and regular tacos. Everything was full of flavor and freshly made. The CONSOME though!!!! It's the elixir of life!!! I even bought extra to take home! Highly recommend and we for sure will definitely be back! The service was excellent too! I like how attentive they were quickly cleaning the tables the minute people left. This was my first time trying birra tacos. The taco shells consisted of two tiny tortillas deep fried and were super crispy throughout. The shells were filled with tasty birra meat to the rim. I got mines topped off with cilantro and onions. For $2.25 these were inexpensive and came with a side of red sauce and limes. I ordered a medium consome and that was way too much as they use a drink size styrofoam cup. (It's okay if you have leftover consome. Just toss the consome over some ramen noodles and you have another delicious meal! Mmmmm!) The consome was zesty, rich, earthy and came with more meat and fresh onions. They really don't skimp here and you won't leave hungry. My golly it was bomb. I could just drink the soup alone without dipping the tacos. It was fun trying the tacos with just the red sauce versus dipping. Recommend getting 3-4 birra tacos as the flavor is just addicting. I'll probably get some more later. read more

My friend recommended this establishment to me. Glad I came because the food was so darn good. I had also seen a video off tik tok for this restaurant so I had to come. Avoid this place on weekends at night, they're always packed with long wait times, but the food is worth it! I recommend the torta and quesataco. Although their tacos dorados are nice and crunchy the cheese just makes it so much better. The tortas are not huge but just enough to fill up my stomach, if you eat a lot you might want to add a few tacos. I've seen some reviews say their torta was soggy, and I expected the same since it is birria, but mine wasn't. I would definitely order the torta again. And yes, it does come with avocado. Their salsa is spicier than other restaurants so if you can't handle spice, beware. Fortunately they provide the salsa on the side so don't worry about your food being spicy. It wasn't too spicy for me but I have a better spice tolerance. read more

Senor Birria is definitely #1 on my list of birria places out of the handful of restaurants I've been to. Everything I've had here has been delicious and satisfying. From the tacos, dorados, mulitas,and quesadillas, and the vampiros. The consome was pretty tasty. I can't handle spiciness that well, but I power through the red sauce because it's tasty. The red sauce leaves my mouth burning, my face sweating, and almost in tears. If it wasn't for the stains on my shirt from the red sauce and birria you would've thought that I just finished an intense workout session. Totally. I love fitness. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE! I've been twice. The first time they gave me 8 tacos instead of 4. Yes I enjoyed them all. I went again today, they forgot to give me my beans. Luckily I ate in the parking lot so I was able to walk right back in and correct it. The food was delicious. My second visit the Birria and Consome wasn't very hot but other than that everything is tasty. The refried beans and rice were great. Just check your order before you leave. These are my favorite Birria tacos (when hot) along with Birrieria El Tijuanazo over in the Inland Empire (trust me on this if you're ever out that way). read more

Nasty. My first time here, I bought the crunchy tacos, tacos dorado, soft tacos, consome, mulitas, vampiros, and torta. EVERYTHING I've bought was SOGGY and/or GREASY. "Crunchy hard shell tacos" was NOT crunchy at all smh. I've tried about every kinds of tacos they have.. all had the same taste, just different prices, different names. The torta wasn't good either. Wasn't worth the drive or the cash. read more

This was a great surprise find. One of my colleagues said "Tacos" and everyone lit up. I promise I intended to order the tacos but when I saw a little sign advertising "Birria Ramen" I stopped dead in my tracks and blurted out "want that" like a goon. The cashier kindly switched my order and it was a great choice. In short, they put the amazing flavored meet in a soup with a small square of ramen at the bottom. I also added a fresh tortilla and it was a nice pairing. The Horchata was really good, not too much cinnamon. Would definitely recommend for quick, inexpensive yet good food. read more

Like a lot of businesses they begin well and then the dropping of the ball begins to happen Some way either the food the service the location Overall together or one of the 3 This location began to drop the ball on the food It now tastes water down If you don't know birria it will taste fine to you but if you know you'll be able to tell Specially if your one of the original customers I'm sure they can attest the difference I speak of now Last visit service was outstanding the gentleman was super pleasant and my food was ready to pick up very near to when I arrived He forgot my tortillas though dang it But again consomé was watered down Not as much as the last time maybe 3-4mos ago Keep in mind I used to come 3-4 times a week the ladies knew me by name The quality has steered me away overall the establishment can't knock it just doesn't meet my expectations anymore read more

I didn't try the nachos, but my friend seemed to thoroughly enjoy the diverse ingredients. We had a wonderful time and I'll definitely be returning. I've been a regular at this location for quite some time because of the convenience of indoor seating and fast service. However, during my most recent visit, I encountered a frustrating issue that really made my experience less enjoyable. I requested an extra cup for my daughters to share their drink, but the male cashier told me they didn't have any--despite clearly having cups available for the aguas frescas. Later, when my consomé arrived, I needed an extra container for my daughter to share, but once again, I was denied. I was told they didn't have any extra cups. As a restaurant owner myself, I understand how important it is to make sure customers have a pleasant visit. If I'm requesting extra items, it's because I need them, and I would've greatly appreciated the option to buy a cup if necessary. It was inconvenient and a bit disappointing to be told "no" without even an offer to accommodate my request. I truly hope this feedback helps improve their customer service, as it's a small thing that could've made a big difference in my visit. read more
