Founded in Austin, Texas by Kit Baumann, CSA, a Certified Senior Advisor and a member of NPRA with over 14 years of senior living experience, Senior Living Kit was created to make the transition to senior living simpler and more compassionate. We provide trusted placement and consulting services for families exploring assisted living, memory care, independent living, and respite care in Austin, Cedar Park, and Central Texas. Through Kit’s national network of Certified Senior Advisors and National Placement & Referral Alliance (NPRA) membership, we also help families find senior living solutions nationwide. Growing up in a multigenerational home, I understand the choices adult children have to make while confronted with the care of their elderly loved ones. I can empathize with older adults when they are needing to downsize their home and belongings.
Letting go of "stuff", community and your familiar environment is challenging to say the least. Facing any new chapter of life comes with some anxiety, but I know it is important to think of it as a new beginning and not a loss.
I witnessed firsthand the beauty and struggles of caring for loved ones at home. Later, I spent nearly 14 years in the senior living industry, learning how the right community can transform the quality of life for older adults and their families.
