While I ensured her safety, I second guessed my decisions as she vocally struggled to adjust; it was a lot of change particularly for someone who rarely left her home. They say that they will be involved with your loved one to meet their needs, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Your loved one will be charged for every second, even if you call and ask a question. Prices they charge are close to that of hiring a lawyer. If your loved one has any money...kiss that goodbye. Our loved ones' money was spent down in 9 months. Once they have spent the money as far down as legally allowed...the state will become their guardian. You are given a weeks notice.

I had two clients with them and I absolutely loved and cared for those clients as if they were my family. Those clients also told me the other care givers this agency sent them were no good and one client only stayed with this agency as long as they did because of me. I had such a great relationship with my clients I showed up to one of my clients birthdays on my spare time to drop off gifts I purchased and was even invited to their thanksgiving. They were the only reason I really stayed with this agency as long as I did as I was offered higher pay at other agencies. I truly did this job (as a second job) because I felt honored to be of help in the later/final chapters of someone's life. I made sure I filled their interactions with me with love, respect and laughter. This agency pays the lowest to their workers compared to others and charges higher prices to their clients, please compare on your own. I only made half of what he was charging my clients. The worst part is I had a recent experience where my health and the health of others was placed at risk and I was lied to in order to be convinced to show for my shift by being told a client had been tested for Covid after showing symptoms the night before and I requesting she be tested before I returned. She never was tested! So when I arrived for my shift on the next night with the impression that she had tested negative, my client tells me they never tested her. After becoming upset with the nursing facility because she had now spent another whole day interacting with other elders, she was tested, and tested positive. I attempted to reach out to Ragu the initial morning after I saw my client showing Symptoms, the next day when no one ever followed up with me, and several times there after. It took a week and half for him to call me back after continued requests to his scheduling assistant to have him call me. He wasn't apologetic, didn't offer to commentate me for even the gas I lost for having to drive 35 min there and another 35 back on the night I was lied to, to get to my client, and had the audacity to say I should apologize to him because I was upset with him? It's one thing to pay us so low but to then not even seem to care about us and our health is another. Truly so disappointing that this is the line of work you do with zero compassion or care for those lives placed in your care.

This agency is the absolute best. I have been using them for caregivers since 2005. First for…read moremy Mom, then several aunts, then my Dad and finally my brother-in-law. They understand the issues, circumstances, and personalities and do a fabulous job matching you with the right candidate. The caregivers they provided were very knowledgeable in handling all issues and situations. The caregivers took such wonderful care of everyone and many of them were with us for many years. They became like family and we are still in contact with many of them. While I originally needed caregivers for live-in and long-term, there were times that I needed help for short periods of time. At one time, I needed an additional caregiver to be there for the nights as my aunt wasn't sleeping and on hospice, and the regular caregiver needed to sleep. It was night-to-night since we didn't know how long my aunt was going to live and they were able to provide that for me the same day as requested. With my brother-in-law, he was expected to be released from the hospital-to-home and on hospice. I needed someone immediately and had all the confidence in the world that Elizabeth would provide me with someone without meeting them prior. And again, this was a short term due to him being on hospice. When my great aunt turned 100, she was getting weak and we took her to the doctor and I asked if it was time for hospice and his response was we didn't need hospice. "There is not a hospice in the world that could do a better job caring for her than her wonderful caregiver". When my Mom passed away, my neighbor actually hired my Mom's caregiver after seeing how good she was to my Mom. I have recommended Friendly Domestic to several friends who have used them as well for both live-in and live-out and they all have been as pleased and happy with them as I was. Many of my friends have often called to ask me for their name and number, because someone they know is in need of a caregiver, and they know what a great experience I had with them.
