I requested the "Deep Clean" service, as it had been some months since my place has been thoroughly cleaned due to Covid (my regular cleaning lady has taken a hiatus and I can't do all the details). After doing research, I chose Simply Clean as a local business with good ratings. The young woman did a thorough job cleaning and I was satisfied with that; after she left I noticed that the plunger for the bathroom sink was split and the broken off piece remained on the sink, but this was not mentioned to me. So after my unsatisfactory review the scheduling manager, Patricia, contacted me to offer a complimentary cleaning sine I was dissatisfied. The difference was like night and day. She spent 4 hours and was super thorough. The issues of things they don't do is a bit perplexing (wash dishes, or move furniture to clean behind it). The other things they don't do were not important. But now that I understand the heavy cleaning (baseboards, floors, blinds, etc) leaves me with very little to be a slave to... and I'd consider what I have left is a "touch up". I now have the energy to tackle my linen closet and get it organized (something else they don't do). I'd give them 5 stars if the "not do" list weren't so long and since my daughter in TX has a service that does it all! I understand about liability etc but the "not do's" are left on my plate. It's okay, I understand. BONUS, Patricia asked for a screw driver and tightened my toilet seat... unexpected but much appreciated, also made suggestions on granite polish. Fabulous. The crew of two ladies who showed up were right on time and wasted no time getting started. We had a couple areas requiring extra reach which over the phone they told me might not be do-able. Well, they got it done with just a little help from my ladder! We did a whole house deep clean and the price was worth every penny. The price was reasonable for the service for sure. They even found a shirt I had written off as gone forever so I know for sure they checked under every piece of furniture and crack and crevice. They even made all the beds that day and arranged stuff in the bathroom in a very organized manner. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they missed my oven, but again, over and above in many other areas. So much so I think I'm going to sign up for one of their more regular plans. We have used Simply Clean for recurring cleanings in the past and were always so happy with the work they did. We recently moved and we hired them to clean out our previous residence. We were thrilled with the work they did. They even did work over and above what we expected. We had gotten quotes for clean out moves from other companies and they fall right in the middle price wise, but you get top notch work. Having them do the kind of work they did made the stress of moving a little more bearable. They cleaned out all appliances and they even swept out the garage which was a very pleasant surprise. After leaving my review, with only honest intentions and feedback, the owner reached out to say they appreciated the criticism, but really want all of their customers to achieve that *wow* five star type of feeling. I used Simply Clean for several months before the Covid shutdown in March 2020. I stopped using them because of Covid, but was increasingly disappointed in their work. I originally had them coming every week, and asked them to clean the kitchen/eating area, family room, laundry room, master bedroom/bath and powder room. We are empty nesters and the rest of the house is rarely used. I expected 2 - 3 hours of work be performed to fully clean, including all floors. Over time, they were in and out in 45 minutes. Counters were not fully wiped down, just wiped around. Floors not really touched at all. A complete waste of money. read more

My only reason for 4 stars is that the cleaning products that the ladies used were not natural, which is what is stated in their business description. There was the standard Lysol and Zep products in their caddies alongside Mrs Meyers Clean Day. They arrived exactly on time and did a wonderful job cleaning our house after we moved out. The appliances are gleaming, and the wood floors glowing. They did an excellent job on the bathrooms, and stayed until the job was done (8.5 hours) for the same price quoted. Paul had excellent communication and answered all my questions leading up to the appointment. My only recommendation to others would be that if having green, natural cleaning products is exceptionally important to you then make sure you let them know before the appointment. I had been using another service when I was living in the city, and stayed with with that company when I moved to Naperville in 2012. Unfortunately, the Naperville franchise of the previous cleaning service was terribly managed and I was very unhappy, so I began looking for alternatives. I don't remember how I found Simply Clean, but I'm glad that I did. I filled out the contact form on their website, and was contacted by Ovis about an hour later. He confirmed the specifics of the service (number of rooms, etc), provided proof of insurance (which I requested), and said that if I had any special requests or problems with the service to let him know. My first clean was scheduled with Indra, and she's been coming every other week since then. Indra is wonderful. She is always right on time, and does an amazing job -- much better than I could ever do myself. She is also genuinely friendly and kind. I have a cat (Holly) who likes to investigate while the upstairs bathroom is being cleaned, but Indra isn't bothered by the interruption (she also has a cat). She has a gentle way of talking to Holly (which I can overhear from my office) that is endearing. This is the first time I've ever used a cleaning service, and it won't be the last. During my third trimester, I started noticing every speck of dust and every cob web in my house and became very frustrated I couldn't clean as thoroughly as I wanted, so (to save my marriage from crazy pregnancy hormones) we decided to get a deep cleaning a week before due date. Long story short, I'm amazed at how clean my house is. The two ladies that came went far above my expectations. The shower had been a bit moldy, and it sparkles now. We had our first home cleaning on Monday with Simply Clean and I am very pleased. They were able to come out just a few days after I called, and at the time I requested. I've used a couple of other highly rated cleaning services in the past, but found the job done by Simply Clean more thorough, and at a reasonable price. Most importantly, Paul, the manager, called to make sure the worker arrived on time and to let me know to notify him if I had any concerns or special requests after the job was done. I'd taken a break from hiring a cleaning service as it is costly and many times afterwards I felt that it wasn't worth the price given the time it would take for me to do a similar job myself. But now having moved to a larger home, I decided to try it again and chose to contact Simply Clean based upon positive reviews from Yelp and Angie's List. I cannot state how far this service exceeded my expectations. Honestly, I moved into the dirtiest, dog hair filled, neglected home, and they left it sparkling! When they state, there are no extras, they will stay until they are satisfied - they mean it. A team of 2 stayed for 8 hours while we annoyingly painted and moved in around them. They could not have been more professional or accommodating. Chemical free cleaning is extremely important to me, however; I also recognize when it is time to bring in the chemicals bc of the state of filth that needs a once over with the big stuff. Right from the get-go I was impressed with this cleaning service due to the very quick response from Paul. Many other services I sent out inquiries for a quote took days if not weeks to get back to me. I had a reply from Paul and a quote within a couple of hours and scheduled cleaning for the next day. Our cleaning lady works her tail off! She is absolutely fantastic! The first couple of weeks I was home when she arrived. I de-cluttered/organized 1 room ahead of her while she deep cleaned behind me. She is easy to work with, great personality and she quickly earned my trust. I was easily able to begin leaving a key for her to come and go when I began a new job a few weeks later. Communication and responsiveness is KEY for me when dealing with any business. Any time I have had to contact Simply Clean, Paul has replied within 30min or less. Plus being able to text the one cleaning my home to alert her of changes makes me more at ease since I cannot be there in person. The prices are incredibly reasonable. My house looks and smells wonderful and I do not have to stress about the deep cleaning while raising kids and working 50+hrs a week.
