Fried catfish, fried okra, fried squash

I Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant!! It literally feels like you're eating at your grandma's house. The food was so good!! I got the country fried steak with white gravy and fried okra and green beans. My bf got the fried catfish with fried okra and fried squash. The waitress was very polite and attentive to our table. Highly recommend this place.

We went for breakfast and the food was good. Traditional breakfast options. Service was lacking today. It took a little bit for our server to come over and when she did there was little eye contact as if she was preoccupied. That is a pet peeve of mine. When you are serving me and my party please give us your attention so you get the order correct. Anyway, apparently someone had called out so the cook was the cashier and also had to manage the drive through. In my opinion, the wait staff could have assisted in this area because a standard breakfast order took nearly 30 minutes to be made and brought out. Did I mention that they were not that busy in the dining room area? If I go again I will update my review. If the service is the same or worse you can expect the rating to drop.

Trying out a new restaurant in Seneca.

I have to agree with the review that said a no frills restaurant that serves Southern comfort food. Breakfast is served until 10:45. They have a daily lunch special. You can order a big meal with a meat and a choice of two or three vegetables or choose from an assortment of sandwiches on the menu. The hubby ordered Turkey and dressing, pickled beets, a roll, and banana pudding. He said the beets were delicious. He felt there was lots of Turkey but not as much dressing. I had Hamburger steak with gravy and onions, mashed potatoes with gravy, butter beans, fried okra and roll. I also had a side of hush puppies. The hush puppies and butter beans were yummy. The portions were generous. My meal was good, but I was disappointed with the instant mashed potatoes. The service was good. Prices were reasonable and if you are looking for a Southern diner that serves meals your grandma served you will like this.

Food is what you expect, but I did not know this business is a "trump supporter". I'll never go there again, not another dime!!! Sad.

I can't wait to come back, nothing at all was bad. My daughter got a chicken finger plate it was delicious as well as my burger and my son's grilled cheese plate. I would also like to mention that they take in and give out food for the homeless/those struggling without question and I want to support businesses like this no matter what. AND they have delicious food it's a no brainer. Eat here, you won't regret it.

The employee at the window couldn't have been nicer, very friendly, helpful, and even offered me a menu to keep for future visits. Truly excellent customer service. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (lettuce and tomato only (no premium topping options available), along with onion rings and coleslaw. The total came to $13.08 before tip, which is a great price and initially set expectations fairly high. The wait time was reasonable, but when I received the bag it felt surprisingly light. Once home, the portion sizes were underwhelming. The onion rings were moderate, the coleslaw was about an ice-cream-scoop portion, and the grilled chicken sandwich consisted of a very small piece of chicken with one slice of lettuce and a thin slice of tomato on a plain white bun. For context, I weighed the chicken portion and it came in at 2.68 ounces, which is noticeably smaller than expected for a sandwich. Food quality was basic. The coleslaw appeared pre-packaged and was quite watery, and the onion rings seemed mass-produced rather than freshly battered. The chicken itself could have used more seasoning and a more substantial portion. Even a slightly upgraded bun would have helped. I'm giving this two stars instead of three because while the service was outstanding and the pricing is attractive, this is a restaurant first and foremost, and the food quality and portions didn't meet expectations. I'm not trying to bash ownership; a small increase in price to allow for better ingredients and slightly larger portions could make a big difference.

Two sandwiches, two sides, and absolutely no regrets!…read more We stopped at Mayberry's for lunch, and after studying the menu, we found ourselves with a dilemma. Too many delicious-sounding sandwiches and only two people to eat them. Naturally, we did the only sensible thing. We ordered two different sandwiches and split them. Marriage is all about compromise, especially when sandwiches are involved. We chose the Sweet Apple Bacon sandwich with pork and the Meatloaf Grinder. First up, the Sweet Apple Bacon. Granny Smith apples, sweet onion jam, applewood bacon, shaved pork, and mozzarella on a Portuguese roll. That's quite a combination of flavors, and somehow it all works beautifully together! Sweet, savory, and absolutely delicious. Then came the Meatloaf Grinder. Meatloaf with melted white American cheese on ciabatta bread. Simple, hearty comfort food in sandwich form. And every bit as delicious as the first sandwich! Here's the problem with splitting two equally good sandwiches. Nobody gets to claim they ordered the better one. We called it a tie. Now, let's talk about the sides. I ordered the rosemary potato salad, and OH MY GOODNESS. It was SO good! I love a good potato salad, and the rosemary gives this one a wonderful twist. I could happily order a bowl of it and call it lunch. The other side was pasta salad, which I naturally had to sample. Strictly for quality-control purposes, of course. It had kidney beans in it, which I absolutely loved! Such a nice addition, and something you don't always find in pasta salad. Another winner! The restaurant itself is adorable, with charming vintage decor and a nice selection of local products. They even sell their own sauces, which we somehow managed to walk out without purchasing. A decision we regretted almost immediately. Apparently, we'll need to return to correct that oversight. Purely for research purposes, naturally. The employees were all friendly and attentive, and the entire experience was delightful. Great food, welcoming people, and a restaurant with some real personality. Mayberry's has a menu full of interesting sandwiches, and I fully intend to work my way through it. Will we be back? Absolutely! Next time, we're buying the sauce. And probably ordering two more sandwiches to split, because apparently that's how we roll now. Five stars! Delicious food, wonderful sides, and definitely worth a visit!
