The squirrel with portions of a white and a brown napkin stuffed in its mouth stole the show for me on my visit to Senator Henry M. Jackson Park in Everett on Wednesday 12 July 2023. I was walking the gravel path around the outside of the baseball fields and noticed it on one of the wooden poles that held the lights for the baseball fields. It made its way to the grass then ran in my general direction. As it approached my general area I said hello in an animated fashion and it stood up tall to look at me with the napkins in its mouth. It subsequently ran up a different wooden pole. Very much a sweetheart.
For parking, I went with the upper parking lot above the baseball fields, though there is also a lower parking lot by a basketball hoops area, a playground, and covered picnic table areas. Bleacher seating lined the two baseball fields and there was a small restroom building, which is closed in off season/hours. read more
