62. Pad See Ew
Aimee L.

We ordered takeout here after finding the first pad thai my bf really liked since arriving in Vancouver in 2023 hoping that we weren't limited to one venue. You can see the pics that we ordered his standby pad thai but I was drawn to the pics of the fresh veggies in the pad see ew. The other place wins the first point by putting things in paper containers. My bf liked the pad thai but just not like he liked the other place. Tbh I couldn't taste a difference and I was a bit let down by my dish. It wasn't very appetizing to look at. Everything a uniform brown sheen. The flavor wasn't bad and I enjoyed the big sheets of rice noodle but nothing about it popped. Plenty of tofu which I liked. Slices of carrots. Chunks of what might be broccoli. Maybe we just picked the wrong dishes but these two weren't the ones.

Thai Beef Noodle Soup, tasty broth and plenty of beef

This newly opened in Vancouver overtaking a previous restaurant. The food, service, and ambience are excellent. Highly recommend this new local restaurant serving superb, fresh, tasting Thai food. You walked in to new tables and chairs, a very clean establishment. Water is served in brand new heavy glass. Utensils are heavy stainless, chopsticks are sealed. Menu is full of photos of the dishes, which is nice--I always want to see an image before ordering. Our first visit is just two dishes: Beef Noodle Soup, Pad Thai with Chicken plus plenty of bean sprouts to add to your dish. They were full of flavor and spicyness level--medium creates a bit of heat and hot is making you sweat. The rice noodles were thin, and I would've like it a bit thicker but not too thick. Pad Thai that my wife had was not the broad noodle but also thin. We are glad we came and would come again and try other dishes--you should too.

We decided to stop in here after seeing a movie downtown. The menu had a lot of clearly marked…read moregluten free options, which is a major plus for me. We started with a couple Thai mules which were made with a spicy and delicious ginger beer. For food we ordered the Nem Kai from the house specials menu and, after an enthusiastic endorsement, the drunken noodles. Both dishes were amazing. The ingredients were fresh and the portions were generous. We couldn't finish so we took the leftovers home and enjoyed them the next day. I have been craving that rice dish for the past week since our visit. I will have to go back soon! The servers were attentive and helpful, even though it was closer to closing time than we thought. We sat outside and enjoyed the landscaping on a nice evening. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious meal and refreshing beverage.

Restaurant was clean. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. We were immediately greeted and seated upon entering the restaurant. Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We ordered a few appetizers to share; coconut shrimp, potstickers, chicken satay and BBQ pork fresh salad rolls. Each appetizer came with an appropriate dipping sauce. The food was good, and tasted fresh. The chicken satay was a bit dry, but the curry flavor was perfect and the peanut dipping sauce helped give it a bit of moisture. I feel like the prices were a bit steep. We only ordered one non-alcoholic beverage and 4 appetizers, and the bill was just shy of $80, with tip. I guess I didn't realize how expensive it was since last time I came for Happy Hour. Overall we were happy with our experience here; however, next time we'll make sure we hit Happy Hour for better pricing. Would recommend.
