LOVE LOVE LOVE. Will be dreaming about this Khao pad moo krob for a long time. The crisp on the pork is phenomenal, some of the best in the game and my mom makes a fire crispy pork. I don't even really care for fried rice anymore because I eat it so much but this has the perfect flavorful and texture. The only thing missing is the spice on the side. We didn't have to wait too long and it came out piping hot. Another side note is that this place would greatly benefit from having a buzzer because we just kept doing laps around the place until the food was ready since there's not a great place to stand and wait for it. The sauce had a little kick if you are REALLY sensitive to heat, but was fabulous poured over the rice. The food was quite hot, and is served in a paper box. Tastes like a completely different dish. Now, the dish is still good but definitely not mind-blowing and not $22 good for a very small proportion. Don't write this place off if you're open to new twists on food and like trying food, but don't expect too much of it. I ordered the Pad Thai (mild) with crab meat - never heard of Pad Thai that were spicy before, I regretted not trying the medium spicy version instead . It was solid but somewhat standard. Some parts had a strong gamey taste though it was not so bad overall. I usually do not order pork or most meat as I do not like the strong gamey taste. Avoid if you are sensitive to that. I also had the pad pa kra (minced chicken with holy basil stir fry) on rice. I requested to add on a fried egg but the staff forgot or did not hear me. Good thing I was not charged extra. It was surprisingly decent as it was already cooked and left to keep warm in a pot. It just lacked the wok hei since it was not made to order. It was a bit spicy so I did not have to add on more chili flakes to it. It was a big box and I did not finish it. I had it as leftovers and fried up eggs to add to it the next day. Delicious! The staff was just putting out some freshly fried chicken wings and I couldn't resist! They also had a pot of juicy pork belly and 2 curries -beef, chicken. Wings 5/5 - lightly fried, super crispy skin with a lightly sour/spicy dipping sauce; on par with Pnom Pehn wings! My husband discovered this place at Granville Island and now it's our go to spot for lunch when we're in town. Good job, bb xx. The chicken was perfectly crispy, but tbh we needed more chicken. The roti was okay and the curry sauce for dipping was crazy salty. I would skip that as the side and just get rice. The fried chicken dipping sauce was amazing. It was like a thick & sweet, limey fish saucy dip which paired so nicely with the crunchy fried chicken. YUM! The PAD SIEW was also very good. The rice noodles were CLEAR! We were very surprised by it, but in a good way. We love some clear noodles :) It was seasoned nicely and tasted great with rice, too hehe Overall, you should try this place if you like yummy asian food. I heard shout this place on Tiktok of all places! Had to check it out since I went to Thailand a few years back, I am now in love with the food. This place is located within Granville Island market in the food court area. We ordered the Pad Siew and Pad Kaana Mu. Both were delicious. The Pad Siew had these really wide noodles which you can tell must be made in house, they were see through and had a great texture. The noodles soaked up all the good flavors of the sauce. The Pad Kaana Mu was a pork belly with rice and gai Lan dish and was super flavourful. The pork belly was not dry, it had a nice crispy skin! I was craving Thai food and I heard this place was good. They're located in the food court in the Public Market next to Celine's Fish and Chips. I ordered the Pad Siew Beef and I was blown away by how much flavour it had! The rice noodles were not your average rice noodles, they were somehow more chewy in texture and absorbed the sauce really well. There was a bit of heat and the veggies were delicious as well! The dish was a bit oily but it had lots of wok flavour. The beef was ground beef and the crispy onions on top sealed the deal. I would come back to try something else!
