    Pad ga pao (Basil chicken)
    Jennifer N.

FOOD - Pad Ga Pao: ground chicken stir-fried with basil, green beans, bell peppers, and onions over rice. This was sooo good. It had really good flavor and a slight kick. My picky son approved. 5/5 - Crispy Thai Garlic Wings: chef's kiss! 5/5 SERVICE: Fast and friendly. 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would definitely come back. Price was a little steep but the food was delish!

A solid spot for Thai in the Granville Food Court. The food comes out hot and fresh. I got the Pad Thai and it was delicious. It comes with tofu and the flavors are yummy. The spice here can be quite hot, so don't go for the highest unless you have a good tolerance for spicy.

Beef pad siew: Chewy & fresh rice sheet noodles with tender Chinese broccoli and beef
    Tiffany P.

I found this Thai gem in the Granville food court! After one bite of the beef pad siew, I was HOOKED. The fresh rice sheet noodles surprised me most; They're translucent with an addicting chewiness, unlike any other pad seiw I've tried. The umami sauce had a surprising kick of heat. Beef and chinese broccoli were well seasoned and tender. We liked the beef pad siew so much that we ordered the same dish again within an hour. The credit card reader rejected my duplicate purchase as an error and refused to process my payment. However, cheerful staff successfully troubleshooted the error! This was a delicious experience that left me full but still wanting more. Compliments to the chef(s)!

    Pad See Yew with Beef
    Jennifer D.

I ordered the Pad See Yew with Beef ($16.17 USD) and not bad but felt like it was a bit overpriced. I thought the dish had a good flavor but wished the beef were slices of meat instead of ground beef chunks. Also asked for some chili flakes to spice up the dish. Good place to visit if you're craving some Asian food or Thai food in the area.

I came here in high hopes after seeing everyone's raving reviews. I wasn't sure how I felt about it and I think I finally decided that I don't like it. Now, don't get me wrong, it doesn't taste bad but it isn't rocking my world like the other reviews led me to believe it would do. For $22, I got a half filled paper box. This might have been one of the most expensive dishes I've gotten on my Vancouver trip so far. The noodles were transparent, glass-noodle like with an extra chewy quality. Not the soft fresh rice noodles I've come to be accustomed to. the beef was ground beef, and there was lots of oil. The favor was sweet and mild, really different than pad siew I've had in the past. Tastes like a completely different dish. Now, the dish is still good but definitely not mind-blowing and not $22 good for a very small proportion. Don't write this place off if you're open to new twists on food and like trying food, but don't expect too much of it. I've tried it, decided it isn't for me, and for the sake of my wallet I won't be eating here again. There is simply too much good and cheap food in Vancouver for me to eat here.

probably the closest thing to thailand's pad see ew (and the closest we'll ever get to world peace) i lichrally took one bite and died and transcended into heaven and came back to earth. the only critique i have is that it would be 10/10 if the beef wasn't so ground beef + if the eggs were more eggy/ larger... but the glass or rice noodle is saur good that it still blew my mind and i would come back multiple times for her. crunchy texture but also so smooth and chewy UGH I LOVE i heard so many good reviews about sen pad thai and i had to try it while i was here on granville island. service is super quick and friendly as well! love the markets around

This place is located in the food court area in Granville Island. It's order and find a table. Depending on the time, it can be difficultly to find a table inside. There is some public table seating outside. My favorite place in the Granville food court. Food is like quality home cooked family meals. Portion and price is good, considering it's in Granville. Servers are friendly and stay on top of the orders. Just make sure to come check on your order after an appropriate amount of time.

Good place to eat if you're visiting Grandville Island. There are many food options, but this one always satisfies. The pork and rice dish is very tasty. It comes crispy or braised. While both are delish, I prefer the braised. Tried the pad see yew this time and it was great! Just enough kick of spice and good flavor in the beef and veggies. The people are nice and do their best to fulfill orders. It can get really busy, but that's true of all the food places here. It's open seating for all so stay alert for any open tables. This place is a go-to when we're here.

    Solid Pad Thai with crabmeat
    Rebecca C.

I heard about Angus An and was eager to try when I saw that she has a casual stall at Granville Island. I ordered the Pad Thai (mild) with crab meat - never heard of Pad Thai that were spicy before, I regretted not trying the medium spicy version instead . It was solid but somewhat standard. The crabmeat lacked flavor so I would advise trying chicken version instead. The curries looked really great, sauce vibrant in color. Wish that I had more time to try other dishes. Also they are super covid conscious. The lady taking the oder uses tongs to put the napkins and utensils into the takeaway bag with utmost efficiency. Looks like a well run place.

    Pad Thai Goong
    Camille L.

I had to try their pad Thai Goong. It was amazing! In it we're medium firm tofu and shrimps. It wasn't too sweet. The salt and sweetness was so balanced. The bean sprouts, ground peanuts and chives gave it a nice crunch. No wonder it's very popular on Yelp. They don't have a large menu but are good choices and great textures especially for foodies. Do not miss this one. What I ordered cost $19.50 Canadian dollars and totally worth every bite. I would order or try the other stuff on the menu if I had the time. But my thing is always go for the pad Thai with whatever meat i like because that's how I will know if the rest of the foods will be promising. I said, "my thing".

The wings! Yes, we ordered wings that had a wonderful spice and crisp to them. Piping hot and packed with flavor. The dipping sauce I did without but others liked it. I can't speak for other items in the menu since I zeroed in on wings after a disappointing meal at the pot pie place (avoid it). So I was making up for utter disappointment and I was very nicely rewarded. Next time I'll come here first!!

    The crispy pork belly!
    Carolyn L.

Get the roasted crispy pork belly! I asked if I could just get the crispy pork belly on its own instead of the rice dish stated in the menu. And yes, I could order it as a side ($7). It came with some vegetable garnishing and a dip which was unexpected but very good together. The skin was still very crispy and the meat was fairly tender. Some parts had a strong gamey taste though it was not so bad overall. I usually do not order pork or most meat as I do not like the strong gamey taste. Avoid if you are sensitive to that. I also had the pad pa kra (minced chicken with holy basil stir fry) on rice. I requested to add on a fried egg but the staff forgot or did not hear me. Good thing I was not charged extra. It was surprisingly decent as it was already cooked and left to keep warm in a pot. It just lacked the wok hei since it was not made to order. It was a bit spicy so I did not have to add on more chili flakes to it. It was a big box and I did not finish it. I had it as leftovers and fried up eggs to add to it the next day. Delicious! Decent Thai food here.

My husband discovered this place at Granville Island and now it's our go to spot for lunch when we're in town. Good job, bb xx. ANywhos, we only get one dish and it's called PAD KANAA MU GROP which is stir fried crispy pork belly with Gai lan over rice. DID YOU READ THAT? It's insanely good wow! It's a little pricey at $18, but dang I guess its worth it bc we always order it lol On this trip we also tried the CRISPY FRIED TURMERIC CHICKEN & PAD SIEW. The chicken was perfectly crispy, but tbh we needed more chicken. The roti was okay and the curry sauce for dipping was crazy salty. I would skip that as the side and just get rice. The fried chicken dipping sauce was amazing. It was like a thick & sweet, limey fish saucy dip which paired so nicely with the crunchy fried chicken. YUM! The PAD SIEW was also very good. The rice noodles were CLEAR! We were very surprised by it, but in a good way. We love some clear noodles :) It was seasoned nicely and tasted great with rice, too hehe Overall, you should try this place if you like yummy asian food. We didn't order typical Thai food so it didn't feel like Thai restaurant to us, but that's okay bc the food served and it was delicious. If you see us at Granville Island bet you'll catch us tearing up that pork belly and Gai lan dish, trust. ORDER IT!

Paid parking was not too hard to find on the Main Street but during busy dining hours it might be difficult. We got seated right away at the bar since there were no tables open and the service was quick. Traditional Japanese style ambiance and even the bathroom had rounded Japanese bowl sink. As someone who doesn't have chicken broth (paitan style) ramen, I was really looking forward to the original ramen I ordered but I was a bit disappointed in the flavor profile of the dish. The ramen had both chasu and seaweed paired with thin round noodles. The broth was creamy and had a hint of chicken flavor but even adding several rounds of their soy sauce/salt seasoning they have on the side to adjust your broth to your liking-- I found that the richness of the soup was not what I had expected from the reviews that I read prior to coming here. Overall, a bit disappointed in the flavoring of the broth but maybe we came on an off day. I would be willing to give it a shot again in the future if I had ramen cravings and given that it was very affordable ($11-15 per bowl with tip), but I would probably opt to try another place first.

Review #3 for 2026 I…read morereally wanted to like this place. I watched many videos and read reviews before coming here, but it just did not hit the spot. After a cold day of exploring Stanley Park, we felt that ramen would really hit the spot, so we went here not wanting to deal with a wait at Danbo with a hungry and tired toddler. There was NO wait when we arrived here and we were seated immediately... which for a place that was really hyped up, should had made us think twice. There was only 1 other party at the restaurant. Now, the workers were super nice and the food came out quickly and we did eat everything because we were starving. We all ordered the cha-shu tamago ramen, 2 of us got spicy and 2 of us non-spicy. It came with extra chashu and the soft boiled egg for about $20 Canadian. The bowl was a good size and there was a promo for free extra noodles while we were there. Everyone except me in our group took advantage of it because I was too full from my bowl. Now, the broth here is different from other places because it is chicken based and not pork based. Everything I had seen about this place promised the broth is every bit just as good as the pork bone broth... however, the broth we received looked flavorful, but was bland. It was completely bland. There was no richness to it, not even a hint. I don't know, coming from southern California, the flavor just was not there period. We did all eat our food because we were starving, but it for sure did not hit the spot at all. Maybe we got an off day? Otherwise our broth had literally zero flavor to it. We all wished we had tried the other ramen place instead right after trying our ramen. Would I come back? I will have to say definitely no. We do not live in Vancouver and I do not want to waste any meals on a place that did not taste good the first time we went.

The gentleman (owner?) greeted us and provided us with some suggestions on their best sellers. During our dining experience, he was a little loud with shouting instructions to the kitchen and we did feel a bit rushed to finish our meal and not occupy the table with diners lining up. I ordered the beef noodle soup, and the noodles were prepared well (good texture and not soggy) and the soup had a slight but not overwhelm sour taste from the preserved vegetables. The beef wasn't as tender as it could be, but it wasn't chewy or tough to eat. Prices are reasonable at around $20 after tax and tips. While it wasn't the best or most authentic beef noodle soup I've had, it does hit the spot if I'm craving Taiwanese food downtown or want a hot bowl of noodle soup on a cold day.

So if you cannot take spicy food, check with them before ordering. The beef noodle soup is tasty as I do like the addition of pickled vegetables in it, giving a bit of tartness. The beef is tender though the quantity is very little. More noodles than meat ratio. The combo is totally not worth it now that the price has gone up to about $13. If you want rice and noodle for lunch, I think Peaceful Restaurant across the street is a better bet. At least the portion is bigger.
