Best dealership in the Central Valley they really go above and beyond for there customers

MSRP clearly at $60,585

I typically only leave bad reviews when I feel that they are really needed. In preparation for leaving this one, I wish I had read this dealership's reviews it would have saved me half of my day. Hopefully, this will save someone from the awful experience that is the Selma Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealer. I had a horrible experience with the Dodge dealer in the Selma auto mall today. First I live in Sacramento a 3-hour drive from the Selma auto mall. I was directed to the Selma auto mall by the Dodge website. They had a specific car that I was looking for and it was the only one within 200 miles for sale. I was shown and given a price on the car that I was looking for and according to Dodge, it was in stock on the lot in Selma. I reached out to them in regards to said car, they confirmed that it was indeed still in stock. I said I was interested in buying it. They asked me to fill out a credit application I informed them that I had already done that. It took some time but they did find my application. I spoke with a lady named Ruby an assistant to Matt who we were told was the salesperson we would be working with. I was told that they would not give us any numbers until they looked over our trade, so we needed to come in. They made no mention that the numbers given to me from Dodge were prices that they would not honor. I made an appointment that was confirmed, both by a text and an email to come in at noon today. It should be noted that I told them I wanted to be certain we could make a deal before I invested the 6 hours minimum it would take to come there and drive home. They assured me we could they just wanted to look over my car before they were firm on pricing. The Dodge website has an option that says start buying process. I used that and it tells you a price for the car and it will give you a valuation for your trade-in. The new car was $60,585 according to Dodge no one at the dealership gave me any information that would contradict that figure. When I arrived I texted Matt to let him know that we were there. we arrived a few minutes early the car I was there to buy was sitting on the showroom floor. I thought that was odd assuming that they know that I was there to purchase it and drive it. They made no attempt to let us drive it they never even offered to let me hear it run. In hindsight, I don't believe that they really wanted to sell it. Perhaps having it in the showroom is a draw that is more valuable than selling it. When we started to talk about the price they seemed very confused, the car clearly states on the window $60,585. But I was told the price is $68,585, I was told $66,585 and $62,585. Seems that they will say that the price is whatever they think that they might be able to get you to pay for it. Dodge says my trade-in is worth 16150.00 I owe 16585.00 No big deal I can write a check for that difference. They told me the best that they could do was 12K. The most upsetting part of this is that no one ever even looked at our car. I drove 3 hours to let them see it because they would not talk #'s until they saw it and they never looked at it. The person that I had an appointment with was too busy to even see us, he had other people talk to us from the time we arrived. He even sent out paperwork with the "floor manager" the price listed that according to the floor manager Matt and I had agreed to, was $2000.00 over the price Dodge is asking for the car. When I told him that is not what it says on Dodge's website or the car window he said"well I don't know that is the price Matt gave me" I would have been willing to keep my trade-in out of the deal and just buy their car but Dodge's website showed that the car should lease for about $660.00 per month with a $1500.00 down payment. The Selma Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealer said it will be $4000.00 down and the payment will be $999.00 per month. I had told them I wanted to lease the car but if need be I would finance it. The salesman that we had been speaking with said it'll be a cheaper payment if you lease it. Dodge is running a 0% financing for 72 months, special right now on this particular car. Even if I did not lease it and I financed it with the + 10% tax and license financed at 72 months for 0% the payment would have only been $926.00 how is a lease so much more. My thoughts are these people are crooks. So I left and I went and bought the same car in a different color (my second choice) at a dealer 15 minutes from home where I will go from now on. I paid less than MSRP and I got almost $16,000 for my trade-in. There are better deals out there with dealerships that are honest and will not try and take you for all that you've got. I will never return to the Selma auto mall, hopefully, my bad experience will save you some time.

The sales manager wouldn't let us see their documents because "their computers are down", but we left with a thumb drive of what we'd "agreed to". When we got home and plugged it in, we saw mark ups and aftermarket items we NEVER would have agreed to, resulting in the van being 13K over book for a 2025. Anyway, the van was so upside down that no bank would touch it, even with our paid off trade. So, 2 months later, the sales manager called and offered to renogotiate. We let them know that their contined credit pulls had dropped our credit scores roughly 100 points, and that health issues had cut our income roughly 4K a month, so now we ourselves were unlikely to approved regardless of any adjusted price on the vehicle. Regardless they wouldn't release my trade and demanded that they be allowed to try. They offered to adjust the purchase price and remove some of the fraudulent add ons. So, we took time off work, met again in their office, unfroze our credit reports, were placed on speaker phone, and heard our approval. Regardless, we told them explicity that they were strictly forbidden to continue bank shopping after we left. We left assured we'd get our welcome letter in a few days and that our first payment would now be revised to another 45 days later. Another 2 months passed with no deal, no payment letter, and no confidence that this was even our car. We were honestly afraid to take it out of town lest it be taken back and leave us stranded, since we hadn't paid a dime for it. Since no one can live with that level of uncertainty for long, we put in an offer in on a used Odyssey at less than half the cost with a delearship 2 blocks from our home. We told them our story, they pulled our credit, assured us that they saw no evidence of a another deal, and counseled us what to say to get our trade back (worth about 8K). We eventually were able to get through to Selma (they had started to dodge our calls, but we got through on a borrowed phone). We said exactly what we'd been counseled to request our trade back, which, of course, without a deal, they were legally obligated to still have available. They responded that we had a deal with the bank if I remembered, and that "maybe they were backed up by the holidays" and that my van had been sold at auction. I told them they had 24 hours to produce documents, as they were WAY outside the 10 days they were legally required to close. No response, so, 24 hours later, we went forward with the Odyssey, took cash out of savings for the down, and signed. We figured we'd get the cash value of our trade in a few days. Yeah...that didn't happen. 5 days later on Jan 26, we got 2 welcome texts. One for each van. Ally bank had accepted the loan, which was NOT the bank we talked with in Dec. I immediately let Ally bank know that the Selma had been expressly forbidden to continue to attempt financing, and asked how they had been able finance such an expensive vehicle with our reduced income and impacted credit score. Here with are in mid-March, and they finally responded. Their fraud investigator let us know that rather than letting them know that our income had reduced, Selma finance inflated one of our incomes from 6K to 26K A MONTH to get the DTI to cover it. That brings us to our 1 star ratinr - we now have had a new car for free for 5 months - why are we complaining? Well, we're insuring 2 nearly identical 7 passenger vehicles for one thing. Also because Ally waa given our original documents in Oct and paid Selma the inflated price. Weirdly, though, since my complaint was on day 1, they list my pay off as 0.00, but I have gotten credit dings for 30 days, and soon to be 60 days late. I can'tpay anything because even they don'tknow what we owe, but, yet, we're late. We tried sending 5 dollars a month (the biggest number the website will allow) but that isn't showing anywhere. We gave Selma of Toyota EVERY opportunity to give me back my 2012 Sienna - we loved her and she still ran like a champ. We just wanted the newer safety features. I guess a free 2025 is a decent consolation prize. TL/DR: Finance guys are shady and fraudulent. I hope this finally costs Junior his job.

DO. NOT. GO. HERE. These salesman are the most incompetent and untrustworthy individuals you might…read moreever meet. From the moment you walk through their doors every interaction with them becomes extremely predatory and dishonest. My wife and I came to Fahrney GMC along with our newborn to check out a singular and very specific vehicle from their website. This was our experience: We came to check out a SINGULAR vehicle... the salesman offered to show us the vehicle and proceeded to walk us around in the rain (with our newborn) and show us literally any car but the one we were asking about and all above the price range we gave up front. Simple upcharge strategy there. He then told us that they did not have the vehicle but could do underwriting for a different vehicle... per my wife's persistence (after 2 hours) the salesman FINALLY looks the vehicle up. Turns out the vehicle was there the whole time and was simply in a separate lot. Should that not have happened first? After finally locating the vehicle, the underwriting process becomes absolutely unbearable. DO NOT give them your keys or registration during this part of the process. They will hold on to them so that you can not leave... this will give you time to "think about their offer". If and when you ask for them back they will tell you "That they are using them to look at vehicle information and you'll get them back in the next step". The next step of course is a long wait while they give you outrageously inflated offers of $800+ monthly fees even with credit rating 770+. There is no verification to this process... it is a man with a sharpie and blank piece of paper writing down whatever numbers come to his head for what he would like to charge you. When you begin asking questions about these numbers and state that they make no sense... worry not, these salesman will outwardly tell you that they are "your trusted advisor and that you need to trust them." You will then continue to gaslight you into ill decisions for their own profit. Ask for the APR for the numbers given you and you will quickly find out that they have no clue. Only after wasting the majority of your day (remember that we came with one car in mind- now six hours into this experience). You will finally be offered what seems to be a reasonable price around what you asked for when you first walked in. You will move to "The next step" again and will be taken to sign contracts. CHECK YOUR CONTRACTS THOROUGHLY AND CONTINUOUSLY BEFORE AND THROUGHOUT SIGNING. This is very important. Most of your time during contracts will be spent talking, and only for a couple minutes will you be shown the actual contract before asking to sign it. The contract is given to you on a thumb drive to check out later but is unable to be reviewed until you reach a computer. There were many times in this contract interaction that we asked for certain insurances or coverages not to be applied and were told they were removed. Not a single one ended up being removed upon later review. Have the contract reviewed in full before leaving this place. Consumers should also be aware that this place also uses Yo-Yo Scams to draw you back after your purchase in order to get the chance to speak with you about adjusted rates and financing. Overall, There are better options dealership wise that are out there... avoid this headache.
