I love Pilates Heartcore…read more I've been to five classes so far - two private, one virtual, and two group - and have been led by five different instructors. Each class was wonderful, as was each instructor. I'm new to Pilates - before Heartcore I had only gone to/done two studio classes fifteen years ago + a few YouTube (mat) Pilates videos over the years - so I was very nervous starting out. Each instructor made me feel welcome and very supported. In addition, when I first started taking classes, I spoke with Katie, the owner of the studio, over email many times (to schedule classes), and she was so helpful and very quick to respond. The studio itself is spacious and very clean (including the bathrooms). Also, Heartcore has no "surprises" - something I very much appreciate; all policies are posted on their website, so everything that prospective + current students need to know is there. People may need to set reminders for themselves about things - an upcoming class they registered for, the need to bring grippy socks to class (which they do sell in the studio), when to cancel your registration to a class if you won't be able to make it, etc. - but that is to be expected at almost every establishment/business. I've been a member here for just about a month, and I don't foresee myself ending my membership anytime soon (barring a faraway move or something). I look forward to each class, and I'm so excited to keep going. I love this studio!

This studio is a complete 180 degrees from what I am was used to and is fantastic. All of the instructors are welcoming, encouraging and often time funny. After I had a very bad injury and was in bed recovering for 7 weeks & had limited mobility due to pain for 3 more months. My daughter convinced me that I must go to Pilates. Thanks to my Chiropractor ( Dr. Peterson at Folsom & Granite Bay), he gave me the permission to start and try. It was hard and confusing at first because I did not know the terminology & positions. But thanks to some of the instructors who took the time to correct me & thought me modifying the moves to my body, I eventually picked up the pace. I had private lesson with Sheryl which was totally worth it to make sure not get injured again. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. And the instructors are phenomenal. Codie, Elise, Valerie, Mary S, Lane, Alyssa, Geraldine and Lara thank you for correcting me, encouraging me & allowing me to challenge myself and move to a higher level. Thanks to your guidance and patience I have felt better physically and experiencing less pain. I work so I cannot make it to all classes but I do my best not miss any class that fit my schedule because I love each class and Club Pilates. Do not hesitate to join, even though it makes our classes full and harder to sign in. Do it for yourself!

By doing the movements wrong is not good and it is there job to correct you. Some instructors have a different teaching curve and you must find who best suits you. I just Love Julie as she can have a different approach she is wonderful and really cares. We are there to learn to do Pilates Correctly so we don't get hurt. If she didn't care she would not give us any information and we all could definitely get hurt. I just Love Pilates and the instructor's they have!! Come try it you will be glad you did

I came here with my coworkers for a team building activity…read more I use to be a member of pure barre Walnut Creek when Danielle was the owner but discontinued my membership after it was franchised and I can say the classes are very different now. The vibes are also different but I had a good time with my coworkers. The teacher went a little fast with her instructions and when asked to grab equipment, we grabbed a ball and loop but only ended up using a loop. Front desk area was clean and cute and had plenty of seats while you wait for class to start. They also have cubbies for you to store your items.

I did Barre3 for a couple of years and loved it, so I signed up for one unlimited month of classes at Pure Barre to try it out. After taking 4 or 5 classes, I decided it was not for me. The problems began when I tried to cancel my membership. I sent an email asking to cancel and was told I'd have to pay for a second month - $179 - even though I was not going to attend another class. I had made the mistake of not reading the fine print in the contract, which demands a 30-day written notice to cancel. Of course, that would have required me to give notice on the very day I signed up! The upshot is, there is no way to try out Pure Barre for just a month without getting penalized and having to pay for a second month. I asked if they would at least downgrade my membership to a less expensive one, but Alex Wright, who owns the Pure Barre studios, refused. He also refused to pro-rate that second month even though I had given notice nine days before the end of my membership term. All because I didn't read the contract. A nasty, expensive lesson learned!

I've only done Yoga once and it was over 10 years ago. I haven't even worked out in about 5 years either! I was very excited to try something different tonight and I'm so glad I went! I challenged myself to do everything Terri T was showing us and I've never sweated so much in my life! I didn't feel out of place or embarrassed and it was a great feeling walking out of there knowing I had pushed myself to try something new. What a great relaxing evening! Thank you for the hospitality! You've gained a new fan and I will definitely be back!

Yoga is the only form of fitness I do and this class is one I'd take again…read more LOCATION: Inside of California Fitness on the second floor. DECOR: Outside the yoga room door was a waiting area that was a little different than the rest of the gym. Darker and cozier. The room itself was beautiful. Medium tone wooden floors with one mirrored wall, a hot and cool side of the room, and a warm cream colored curtain with warm white lights streaking intermittently downward. It was majestic! PRICE: The traditional cost of a membership which is around $40 a month DRINKS: We had fruit infused water which was refreshing. FOOD: There was fruit and crackers and chips and protein popcorn which was actually pretty good. STAFF: The check-in staff was great. Kind, friendly, and efficient. Teri, the Yoga instructor, was awesome! I loved her pace and rhythm. I was a nice workout. EXPERIENCE: From the moment I stepped in, I was treated like family. The welcome staff got us checked in easily and once the first class was finished, we would be admitted. The funny thing about this event is that the posting didn't say what type of yoga so I assumed it would be Vinyasa, but the class that went before mine was doing body sculpt yoga and it looks super intense. Then I found out that we were doing a vinyasa flow, but it was hot. Which is not a problem for me. I just like to know so I can prepare with the right attire. our class wasn't too bad. The other class came out looking like bad been locked inside the steam room for two days. LOL

I was dealing with a lot of lower back and leg pain from an accident about a year and a half prior to meeting her and was getting super anxious about returning to my level of activity pre-accident and just simply getting out of a depression that the accident had thrown me into. Samantha listened to my story and tailored a plan to slowly ramp up my strength, agility and flexibility. After four weeks of hard work (gonna give myself five stars for my own effort), my socks were rocked. I was back on the softball field. I was closer to pain-free as I had been in a long time, and it's because Samantha listens, she pushes you to your own goals, she celebrates those goals and creates new ones for you along the way so you never stop wanting to do better for yourself. I worked with her for probably five months and really appreaciated her motivation and support. I'm returning again, from a year+ long haiatus and am looking forward to getting my socks rocked some more. I just started back up yesterday and I'm sore as sh*t as I'm writing this, but I can't wait to get back and get some more a$$kickery done to me.
