This is actually the second time I've used 512 solar! I invested in 13 panels hooked up to a Tesla…read moreinverter last year, then added another 6 recently. The installs went flawlessly. The sales contact Jane is incredibly responsive and worked many different quotes with me with ease. There was an issue with the critter guard install but they came back out immediately to fix it. My system has been working flawlessly. I definitely think this is the best solar install company in Austin. Definitely get connected with Jane she is the best!

My husband and I wanted to add solar panels to our roof, and we're so glad we went with 512 Solar…read more They were efficient, responsive, and within budget. We did our installation in 2022 and have seen our energy bills lower than ever before! (We have some shade on our roof so we didn't do the full roof, ~20 panels or so, but it worked out well.) They did the rebate work with the city so our out-of-pocket cost wasn't exorbitant at all. Our household also recently purchased a second electric vehicle so we contacted 512 Solar again, this time for a level 2 charger installation. Once again, 512 Solar was excellent at getting our quote together, suggesting two hardwired chargers that the city does rebates on, and actually getting the work done as well. We have to do the final step with submitting the rebate paperwork to the city, I believe, but that's small beans compared to all the work that JP and Huiyun did for us at the outset. Really happy we went with these folks and will continue to recommend their business!

Freedom Solar was out, along with the inspector first thing to make corrections. It was done in two hours. And the Tesla app was pumping out favorable data. We asked the inspector about other companies and their response time. Thumbs down to Alternative Solar , who has missed three inspection appointments with one customer who has been installed since May. Best in the eyes of the inspector on install and customer service: 1. Freedom Solar 2. Sun Power The quote, design, approval by HOA,electrical install and panel install was painless. Tesla is providing batteries for solar installations. We opted to have a battery. The entire solar system is managed/monitored through the Tesla app. Things to keep in mind, they warrant their own work. Long history in solar business. They manufacture their own panels. They service their panels, electrical system. No third party warranty, repair, servicing. Really good customer service.

They even tried to get us to show them our electric bill, which to me is an invasion of my privacy. Sorry, I don't do business with people who cannot read.

Longhorn Solar - Got a bunch of vents on your roof? No problem! They can go around.

I'm not a low maintenance customer, and Jameson (our account manager) was there for me every step of the way. The install looks great and is producing at the levels I was told to expect. A big thanks to Jameson and Fhilecya for getting me set up with a solar system that makes really happy. I'd like to share both the good and bad sides of my experience with Longhorn Solar…read more First, I want to recognize Kathie Millen for doing an excellent job coordinating my roof replacement project. She handled the scheduling for the solar removal and reinstallation, and that entire process went smoothly and professionally. I truly appreciate her effort and communication throughout that portion of the project. Unfortunately, the experience after that has been extremely disappointing. During the installation process, the installers accidentally damaged my motorcycle, causing approximately $1,600 in damage. I was immediately told it would "be taken care of" and that it would not be a problem. However, it has now been over two months, and I have not received a single response from management despite multiple emails being sent to Delisa, Danny, and the main service email address. On top of the repair costs, I had to rent a trailer to transport the motorcycle over 100 miles to San Antonio because very few shops work on that type of bike. I also had Uber expenses to get back and forth. Initially, I wasn't even planning to ask for reimbursement for those additional costs, but the complete lack of communication and accountability has changed my perspective. What's most frustrating is the lack of customer care after the damage occurred. Promises were made, but nobody followed through or even responded. At this point, it feels like my only remaining option is to pursue the matter in court, including the additional expenses and lost time. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend staying away from Longhorn Solar. If damage occurs to your property, don't expect timely communication or accountability from management.
