I found Selera Anda on my walk back from the Volkenkunde to the train station. It started to rain and my stomach was growling so the natural thing for me to do was find somewhere dry to eat. And luckily for me, the closest place I found was the comfort and familiarity of food from the homeland. The atmosphere reminds me so much of modern wartegs that are kinda booming in Jakarta right now.
The concept is very budget friendly and common in Indonesia. For a set price that's under 10 euros, you get your choice of carbs (typically rice), proteins, and vegetables. There are so many options to choose from behind the glass display and everything is worth the try. I got myself some yellow rice, sambal eggs, rendang, and stir-fried buncis vegetable. Very authentic taste, nothing else States-side can even compare.
