Her name was Kalessha she works in pulmonology she was aggressive , rude and unhinged. She made me extremely uncomfortable I've never been spoken to that way by anyone at a doctors office. Her behavior was very alarming and violent. She also advised me that there was nothing wrong with me.

It took a while to come out of it. Thankfully she was transferred here. She couldn't get up & walk on her own. The nurses & staff are amazing. Their PT department is amazing. The facility has many things to get them back to every day life. Ramps, a makeshift car, etc. Occupational therapy too. Attentive, caring people. After coming home, she is returning here for more therapy on the first floor for another month. She's doing great.

I have weeks of texts from myself and the director Marjorie asking to please provide food my dad can eat. She swore it would be taken care of but it wasn't. All he wanted was grilled cheese and soup. I had to buy him food because they wouldn't give him food he would eat. Can't get rid of the fruit flies or gnats or whatever they are. Room is not cleaned. We brought silverware from home and put it in a drawer for him and it was taken. His room phone has never worked. So he's been in hospice for the last month or so. They threw his denture away. Sure it was accidental but they won't do anything about it. They said because he's in assisted living that they are not responsible. My dad can't even lift himself to put his teeth on the tray table but they said that's what he did. Now that he has no teeth...NOW they bring him grilled cheese!! Which he cannot eat. So I had to buy him oatmeal and soup and things he can eat. This man has lived his entire life being good to others. Hes a veteran, a Legionnaire, and a Mason. And this is how he is treated. I have many more texts about the care he didn't receive. I always believed they were trying and I'm not the demanding sort of person. There are a few really special people...like Arnie and Miley and Jasmine... they really try their best. Sadly, this facility puts money over doing the right thing when they make a mistake. Go elsewhere.

He has dementia and does hassle you but you give up so easy to not take him to therapy so he may be able to walk again after his fall in April Do you bill medicare for therapy? I believe you did whether he got it or not. Did I not request finger food for him and he would have soup, mashed potatoes etc and make a huge mess. Did they ever clean the rooms they we so ugly and dirty. The more drugs they can give them to make the Zombies and bill medicare for, the better for them. Sarah was a caring nurse and he had a nice nurse thats name started with a T that understood dementia but for the most part no one cared!!!!!! I was lied to a few times there which made me very upset. I learned real quick it was all about the $$$$$$ not the care of the patient or concerns of the family. They could wait to get him out of there because he wasnt the perfect bed ridden patient. I wanted him out of his be each day. Maybe it was me they wanted to get rid of because I expected way better care than he got and I always was asking why things werent done to help him and treat him like they cared. The glass doors at the reception desk were locked and several staff were conversing among themselves. All but one staff member walked away. The remaining staff member asked if she could help me. I stated I'd like to see a doctor. She replied that there were no doctors. I replied your hours show you are open until 2000hrs. She said, no, we're only open until 1900 hrs. I replied "It's 1800hrs, now." She stated that they only take appointments after a certain time. She asked if I'd like to make an appointment. Frustrated, I said no and left. As a retired firefighter and EMT, married to a nurse, we will be sure to tell the first responder community of my experience.

I visited with the first for 5 or 8 sessions but my condition worsen and they suggested that I do surgery. Ivy sent me to the emergency after the second visit because the therapist was pulling my leg to relieve my bulging disc that was causing severe pain. I could not cough without pain. This one charged me over one thousand dollars for two visits plus a consultation and it is still sending me a bill after over one year--that is, they did not bill me in a year but then in January 2021 billed me. Please avoid Ivy in Crown Point. My experience with them is awful!!! If you have a back problem like mine, I would recommend going to Dr. Artemio Del Real at Back & Joint Rehab Center. Dr. Artemio treated me for a year. I am fully functional now!!! My experience with the other two physical therapists revealed they have NO idea how to treat bulging disc (L5-S1).
