My husband hurt his wrist and has been in pain for a few days. We decided to come here first since the pain was bearable. We've had a good experience here in the past but as of today that has changed. The person at the front desk window should not be working in a care setting or any setting. Her empathy level is negative zero. Her speech is that of a robot with passive-aggressiveness sprinkled in. She was very matter of fact not only with us but also other patients. So many things go wrong with this place: - Hard to set timely appointments because scheduling secretaries don't answer the phone, rely on voicemail - Late appointments (waiting over an hour for 8:10am appt with dr plank right now) - Staff knowledge continuity about patients (nobody takes the time to review patient history before walking into the room) - Incomplete testing orders - Insufficient medical outcomes - Broken internal communication because people don't read medical records - Issues with medical record keeping system updates cause data corruption - some medical staff unaware of procedures performed here (one claimed they don't do steroid injections despite my previously getting steroid injections there) Very disappointed. I'm living with constant pain because lakeshore bone and joint is unable to deliver a good medical service. I chose the wrong place. Go elsewhere. read more

Rapid care. Knowledgeable attendants. Location was easy to find. Very clean and shiny.

The urgent care is awful. The NP is dismissive and it's obvious she has a diagnosis before she even enters the room. I went in for extreme foot pain that came on suddenly on a foot I've already had a tendon repair on and she told me it was probably just the weather. I can't walk without pain and I can't sleep because it keeps me up all night but sure it's the snow and not the fact I was the last patient of the day. read more

FAQING AWFUL! 1.5 hours for an Xray. Then we needed surgery. The doctor, Dr. Miller, said he has plenty of time to do it. The Nurse Practitioner never even bothered to call the hospital to check their schedule. It's a week later and we have still heard nothing back. I gave this place a 2nd chance after my 1st bad experience there. NEVER AGAIN! While we wait for LBJI to schedule the surgery we went to Beacon Health in South Bend. The surgery is already done, but we're going to wait on LBJI to see if they ever follow through. read more

United Health care member. I would not recommend. Have had a Florida disability placard for over 20 years. I am permanently and totally disabled. Right knee replaced and left knee needing replacement. I asked Dr. Guzzo to fill out my disability application for Indiana placard. Dr. Guzzo stated I would have to see my primary for a disability placard renew. He does not approve them! My United Health care primary doctor staff tells me I need to see Dr. Guzzo for his signature for the placard! But I should make another appointment with my primary to discuss the issue. Dr. Guzzo had no problem telling me I will need a knee replacement, but first I need therapy for 2 or 3 times a week for 6 weeks. Then re-evaluate. So, no placard approval from either doctor but a chance to spend more money for additional services like therapy and additional appointments. I never knew a disability placard was such a problem for a disabled person in Indiana. I will see my doctors back in Florida where common sense is the norm. Anybody see a problem here? read more

I knew I came to the wrong place when they took X rays of my hip considering I was there for my knee. It seems they take X rays before you see a doctor. Yes I have problems with my hip but nowhere near as severe as my knee. The X ray tech only offered an unstable support device on my left side pushing me to the right. The device had 4 legs with a tall handle with two legs on the floor and two elevated on part of the x ray machine. I was in excruciating pain try to stay on my feet to prevent falling to my right. The support device should have been on my right where the bad knee is sitting on a level surface. Next I'm called into a room by a nurse who also seemed more concerned about my hip. My knee has been hurting for 3 years with the hip starting to give pain about 7 weeks ago but with mild pain. My right knee will no longer hold my full body weight. I asked about treatment for my knee but was told we're not dealing with that today. Knowing this wasn't the right course to get the ability to walk again and the dangers in X ray it was time to leave. I politely said thank you and departed. I didn't get to see a doctor yet I'm being billed for a missed appointment which I have no intention of paying since a doctor wasn't available for the primary reason of being there. The various puddles of urine at different levels of evaporation was a sign to leave before X ray, it was in the bathroom to the left of the entrance. There had been urine on the floor for hours. Hopefully I won't have to wait another 3 weeks to see a professional. read more

I had severe pain in my right foot that I couldn't wait to see my own doctor . I went to the emergency care of Lakeshore Bone and Joint , Crown Point, Indiana the wait time was quick . I was asked my boot size and my insurance co-pay from front desk nurse. However , the physician and trainee was not helpful at all . I shared more than once I had unbelievable pain if I try to put pressure on my foot . The physician needless to say only prescribe pain medication and left me in the exam room speechless. I was disgusted , as I hobble out the chair and in needle pain attempting to walk to my car. I called my doctor ASAP and drove over 1 hour 1/2 away due to the unsatisfactory diagnosis of the emergency physician. Immediately, after X-ray I received a BOOT for my foot , and asked to return within one week and DO NOT take the prescribe meds from Lakeshore Joke ! Lastly, I feel as though I wasted my time and unfair I paid a huge copay with no help! This place should reconsider the vision and add compassion! read more

I don't understand the poor ratings. I went there after an ablasion procedure from Rush on my lower back. I could hardly walk. They sent me to their spine surgeon the next day and they did an MRI. He showed me what was wrong but due to medical conditions I wasn't a candidate for surgery. He sent me next day to Pain Management Dr Sonovesky in Crown Point. He has been treating me for the past year very successfully. He explains why I have the pain where it is coming from and how to treat it. However, the girls at the front desk have no clue what is going on. They are just an ornament and a waste of salary read more
