The vibe here is beige on beige, cream on cream, off white and more of the same. Multiple floors of monotony and sameness, an ode to neutrals. I imagine that someone who loves neutral palettes would want this stuff. I felt starved for color and vibrance, which if you're looking for, you will not find here. I'm not sure who the target demographic customer is for this place, e.g. in all my years, I've never been to a home with a massive grecian bust as decor. Maybe this is for a commercial establishment? If someone was looing for an off white huge sofar with stuffed cushions, and willing to pay more, this would fit the bill. It has a completely different ethos from what they were over a decade ago when they had way more interesting, well-built furniture, e.g. we have an RH eight person dining table/seat set we got from them over twenty years ago--it's classic and standfs time, a gorgeous polished piece of wood. They truly don't make them like that, as the sayin g goes--and RH these days definitely doesn't sell like these.

I gave it an additional star because the location is really stunning. The chandeliers, with the…read morefountain and the trees in the center make for a beautiful setting. That being said, our server broke one of our wine glass while serving us, they were out of Migration and Caymus, the only two wines we wanted to try, and my sea bass was the most undercooked fish I have ever been served at a restaurant - and it's a relatively pricy dish on their menu. I was do disappointed. I didn't want to complain and have it sent back because they were already taking so long to get food out. As for positives: the grilled avocado and caviar was delicious; the butterscotch dessert was very rich, but delicious. If they sold that in a jar, I would have walked away with it. At one point, the server offered us a complimentary shrimp appetizer - maybe they noticed they were falling short on our experience and tried to sweeten the deal. Appreciated the effort. Maybe their brunch is stronger. I can only imagine what those glass ceilings would do to the place on a bright clear day.

I forgot her name but her attitude was not forgettable. She didn't know where a lot of the items were in the store and had to go to the computer to look it up. Since she would take so long, I'd walk around the store to look around and I'd hear her exclaim out loud to other associates "Where's my client?? Why am I chasing my clients around the store all day today?" I explained to her I was looking around as I was waiting for her. She gave me a wry smile. After I quickly tried to go off on my own since she wasn't helpful, I heard her talking about someone's sexuality with other associates as I was leaving. She was laughing about them "probably being a furry." I felt uncomfortable and quickly left. To be fair, some of the other salespeople I interacted were nice and helpful. It may be a hit or miss depending on who you get.

A very dissapointing experience at your Palo Alto location. I have been a loyal Pottery Barn…read morecustomer for many years and have spent thousands of dollars at your stores. On April 22, I visited the Palo Alto store to return a quilt purched on 4/9/2026. Althout I did not have the physical receipt, I provided my credit card so the purchase could be located. From the beginning, the interaction with the staff member at the register was unclear and unprofessional. He repeatedly stepped away without explanation and seemed unsure of how to process the request. Shortly after, the store general manager Erin McNabb became involved. Despite my explanation that I had only used the quilt once to assess its warmth the situation escalated unnecessarily. I was met with skepticism and dismissiveness. The manager raised concerns about a "red spider" in the quilt which she could not locate, and later pointed out marks that I was not responsible for. The tone of the interaction felt accustory and disrespectful. When I asked for escalation to a higher-level manager, I was initally told there was no one beyond her within the four walls of that store. I was eventually given only an email contact, and the manner in which this was handled felt dismissive. Her EGO was so hurt that she asked me to leave the store and escorted me out. She did not offer any other help at all. She reminded me that the manager above her oversees 5 different stores in different states. I told her that she mistreated me because of my race. She would not have treated a white customer this way. What concerns me most is not only the denial of the return, but the lack of professionalism, consistency, and respect. Both of them did not know if Pottey Barn carried the quilt. I have since contacted another Pottey barn location where I was told the retun could likely be processed if the purchsase is verified- highlighting inconsistency in how policies are applied. 1) I am requesting a review of this incident. 2) Clarification of your return policy and its consistent application across locations and the race of customers. 3) Consideration for a resolution, including the return of the item or store credit and service recovery for insulting a long term loyal customer. 4) Follow- up regarding how this situation will be addressed 5) Please make it clear to the custormer that product must be unused for it to be returned. This was not stated to me at purchase and is not printed on the receipt. 6) After reviewing other negative customer reviews it appears that lack of leadership is an issue with this store location. I value the Pottery Barn brand and have been a long-standing customer, which makes this experience particularly dissappointing. Thank you for your attention to this matter, I look forwad to your response.

She put me at ease immediately and I felt like I was talking to a friend rather than purchasing draperies. Her color sense and design experience greatly assisted me in my final selection. I am thrilled with how it changed my bedroom, making it warm and cozy. Dina would be a tremendous help to anyone in need of design service or purchase of any of the many items Flegels carries. NEVER shop at Flegels!…read more In 2017 for our outdoor patio, we purchased Kingsley Bate painted teak patio table and chairs from Flegels. We kept the table covered when it wasn't in use. In 2019, the paint started to blister. In my attempt to get this rectified, KB told me that Flegels had to file a report on my behalf. KB also informed me that they only recommend the painted teak for covered patios. Flegels refused to do anything. The owner's son, Brian, was rude and refused to listen to these facts: 1. When we bought the expensive teak furniture, the Flegel's sales person did not tell us to expect the paint would blister. 2. The 2017 catalog does not mention that painted teak tables were only to be used under covered patios. The owner's son said he had more valued customers who spend much more money than we did, and he didn't want my business. His statement dumbfounded me. We spent over $5000 on this patio furniture. But even if we had only spent $500, I would have expected respectful and responsive customer service.
