Morgan Design Group (MDG) is an interior design firm, with Home being their showcase store, located…read moreon Santa Cruz Avenue in beautiful Menlo Park. The downtown area is filled with home decor and furniture stores, but Home stands out in that interior design is their specialty, and they offer complementary in-home interior design consultations on appointment. We walked in to make an inquiry about a reupholstery project, and although this particular job is outside of the scope of their specialty, I enjoyed browsing the well appointed interiors of the store and chatting with a friendly employee there. At the Home store, they sell custom furniture and work with you for fabrics selection and other particulars for your specifications. Apparently the MDG comes from Park City, Utah, where the Greatest Snow on Earth is! This fact maybe entirely unrelated to your home design needs, but knowing that Morgan Design Group has started back in 1993 there may provide for some reassurances that they are experienced in what they are doing. They provide design and space planning for new construction or remodeling projects, interior design services including furniture, accessories, art, and window treatments. They can make selections for tile, cabinetry, flooring, moldings, and things like that, via working with your contractor, architect, or landscape designer.

I was looking to install a pergola in our backyard and evaluated multiple options and various…read moredifferent price points, including a DIY unit from a SoCal company and a European unit from a Florida installer. Ultimately, I chose StruXure and Blue Sky, and working with Bob Grossman made it clear I made the right choice--his expertise was immediately apparent. Design & Problem Solving: The initial quoting process was done virtually using photos of our outdoor space, and Bob shared relevant pictures of similar recent projects. When his team came out for the live site visit, they identified a crucial code issue regarding heater clearance in the original design. Bob quickly proposed a revised solution that met all code requirements while maintaining full form and function. Although this required a slight cost increase and a small parallel roof modification, Bob was completely transparent about the pricing. Process & Installation: After contracting, Bob provided shop drawings, confirmed all components, and ordered materials. He even graciously held the materials until our parallel construction dependencies were ready. The installation crew was highly skilled and completed the main structure in just two days. When a couple of Bromic heaters didn't work initially due to a faulty control switch, Bob and his lead installer followed up diligently over a few extra visits until it was perfectly resolved. The Final Result: We now have an absolutely awesome pergola attached to our home on two sides, featuring: - Motorized louvers and motorized shades on the open sides - Integrated down-lighting and LED color accent lighting - A smart outdoor fan and elegant, high-power Bromic electric heaters - Internal drain pipes within the posts connecting directly to existing backyard water drains - Full smart control for everything Pergolas like this are a significant investment, making proper design and expert installation absolutely critical. I highly recommend Bob, Blue Sky, and StruXure for a fantastic experience. I will add pictures once the rest of our backyard construction is completed!

Bob came out to see our yard, helped us think through the best design, and balanced the desires of my wife and I. He never pushed us with a hard sell and customer satisfaction truly is his number one priority. Bob also helped us stay on budget, pointing out which upgrades were worth it and which we could skip. We especially appreciated Bob's responsiveness throughout the entire project as he always responded quickly. His crew was professional, detail-oriented, easy to work with and very experienced. We had some changes mid installation that didn't slow the crew down at all. They also cleaned up thoroughly every day (even vacuumed metal shards), and finished a few days ahead of schedule. Bob checked on the installation progress often and in person just to make sure the installation was meeting our expectations. I highly recommend Bob and BlueSky Outdoor -- great design and ideas, transparent communication and very professional installation.

Harry Singh only seems to respond to emails about once every two weeks, making it almost impossible to move the order process forward. Calling isn't any better--you end up on hold for a very long time, and when someone finally answers, they often ask if they can call you back. Unfortunately, those callbacks never happen. I've also left multiple voicemails without ever receiving the help I needed. I'm sure the in-store staff is wonderful, but since special orders have to be handled over the phone, the lack of communication and follow-through has made the experience incredibly frustrating. I hope they improve their customer service because it has been the biggest obstacle to doing business with them. We ended up ordering an item from a different vendor because we couldn't get anywhere with the online support staff.

These people are amazing, Commerical and have been a BRIGHT spot to work with in a difficult large remodel/expansion. We put a pretty large slab order in many months before fabricating, stored on facility and one of our slabs got lost upon our re-inspection months later - oh no, right? Wrong!!! They tracked it down, quickly, Got it back from a very large Commerical project, it looked great, they helped us with honing... and to top it all off they saved us just now when we realized we didn't order slabs with a very quick response and discount! So grateful for the entire team - the receptionists, sales, people, management and ownership. Well done and thank you Davinci!

I was told I would receive a refund for the price difference. It has now been several months and despite multiple follow-ups, I have still not received the refund I am owed. This reflects very poorly on the company's customer service and reliability. While the product selection is good, it is extremely disappointing that Da Vinci Marble has not taken care of a straightforward refund in a timely manner. I hope they address this issue and improve their responsiveness to customers moving forward.

When you get there, keep in mind they actually have two different addresses and are in the stores on either side of Marshalls. If you're looking for top of the line, luxury furniture, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a great choice of furniture that looks great (and the pricetag does too), this is where you want to be. Very attentive employees without being overbearing. If you want help, they've got answers, if not, they let you shop. Ended up getting a microfiber sectional couch w/chaise, coffee table, dresser and two nightstands. They delivered the items two days later and had assembled everything and removed all the packing in about 20 minutes. Keep in mind that there is a delivery fee, which is extra if you have stairs. I didn't mind this at all since the furniture itself was so affordable and they were also upfront about the fees when I was purchasing the items in the store.
