However actually purchasing with them was an absolute nightmare of an experience. I purchase two items a bunkbed, and a king size bed frame. The bunkbed arrived with chips on the ladder. The delivery person tried to tell me that it was OK that the ladder had chips and I proceeded to let him know it was not OK and I took pictures of it so that I could send it to the store themselves. Once he saw me do this then he took the ladder down and he took it back to the warehouse to fix it. I had not heard from anyone for three weeks. I finally called the furniture store to ask them where my latter was, and they immediately they immediately delivered it within 48 hours. The king size bed however, was not nearly prompt. The bed was estimated to arrive within 4 to 6 weeks. I called them nine weeks after I purchased the bed that cost me a lot of money and I was told that they had tried to get in contact with me. I had never received any missed calls or any voicemail from the furniture store. Then once I did call them and follow up the bed was delivered to me within a week but it was missing the four drawers that were at the bottom. The delivery folks had attempted to call me but hung up after one ring and left my apartment when I did not open the door. Finally, I received the drawers two weeks after the bed and even then did not receive the phone call that was promised to me on what time they were delivered the drawers. The drawers were left outside of my door and I found them when I came outside. I found the service to be very poor. The follow up on the side of the furniture store was very slow, and I had to follow up many times in order to actually receive my furniture. I would not purchase from the store.

I was helping my mom shop for a rectangular solid wood table with simple wooden chairs (no fabric seats), which was surprisingly hard to find in other furniture stores. Heather was quick to greet us and advise us on different options, but also gave us plenty of time and space to look around. Other stores were so pushy and focused on making a sale, but Heather felt like a friend who's goal was to share her knowledge about the different styles and materials to make sure you find your dream set. She helped us find a beautiful dining set that was the perfect color, material, style, and price! The delivery cost was one of the cheapest ($75) and they were the only store who had an option to take away your old table (for another $75 which is a steal considering other options would cost over $100 and would require coordinating with another company). Heather even asked us what type of flooring we had, so they could install the appropriate pads or feet on the table. We bought the table on Dec 20, and were about to get the table on Dec 27! Other stores wouldn't be able to deliver until January and it was the holidays. We were given a two-hour window for the delivery, and the delivery men arrived at the very beginning of the time window! Despite needing to take away our large expandable table with nine chairs through a narrow hallway before dropping off the new set, they were in and out in only about 30 mins. They also leveled the table and showed us how in case we moved the table and needed to level it again. Everyone we interacted with at California Dining and Bar Stools were phenomenal. I honestly couldn't have asked for better selection or customer service! We went to a lot of other furniture stores beforehand, and they were by far the best. Don't waste your time; go directly to California Dining and Bar Stools! You won't be disappointed.

The vibes from the manager was off from the get go. The manager started laughing/chatting about how there was stealing in the store. Such an odd conversation to strike up with a prospective customer. The second odd interaction is when my Sales representative Manuel moved a blanket and other pillows out of the way so that I could see the set up clearly. She was visibly upset that things were messy. I reassured her that I asked Manuel to do this. Fastforward to today. My order arrived and was missing an entire seat. I called the store to get help and was reassured by another sales representative that the manager will call me back today. I waited for HOURS and nothing. So I decided to call the corporate number and was told my seat was still in transit and will hopefully arrive in the coming days. 19 packages arrived today and 1 got lost in transit! I figured the furniture scene on the Peninsula was inferior so I didn't even look locally. When a neighbor bought some beautiful furniture from Eurohaus I thought, why not? Oh, my! I had wasted my time and gas going to SF. We found a wonderful selection, lots of styles, fabrics, leathers and makers. The Italian-made sofas we ordered took 6 months to arrive, but it was worth the wait. They're beautiful, super comfy and I think the fabric might even be cat resistant! (Time will tell, but I'm optimistic.) The delivery was excellent, and the delivery men took great care checking the 2 sofas out from every angle. They noticed a small issue with some of the hardware, and returned the next day with parts and tools.
