I'm so impressed by this place! I absolutely love everything about it. You can find all sorts of original pieces here to complement your home or apartment. Tables, bookshelves, artsy odds and ends, and even pieces for the backyard. I saw (and played with!) an amazing seesaw that was beautifully crafted out of wrought iron and wood. Nearby, I saw what was probably the most gorgeous bookshelf-with-rolling-ladder combination that I've ever seen. Amazing live edge tables were sprinkled about, each one gorgeous and unique. I particularly liked one with a fiery gas-powered centrepiece. I wish I had unlimited funding to come here and furnish my entire place. At the very least, though, I want to let you know about it. Service here was great. No hard sales, but someone came over and chit-chatted with me for a bit and offered her help. She even told me how to get on the seesaw without killing myself in the process. WOW. We have a lovely home with a modern kitchen and I can honestly say that our new walnut slab table is the nicest thing that we own. It is so beautiful, it is a living piece of art. Working with Terra Amico was easy. They are helpful, kind and professional but mostly importantly they are talented artisans. The table is so unique and classy. They worked hard to get the perfect legs for us. If you are thinking of using them, go for it. It was a pleasure working with them and our table is truly outstanding. This is simply the coolest spot to join the south bay. If you watch Fixer Upper and are a fan of all things Joanna Gaines, you will walk in here and be immediately obsessed. This place specializes in furniture / home decor pieces. I bought this incredible coffee table from them that is made of a wine barrel and flavor sticks. Such a unique piece and really is a wonderful addition to our home. They have pretty much everything here in terms of furniture (beds, tables, etc) and it is all made of recycled materials. So cool! They also do custom made pieces, so I'm looking forward to working with them in the future to get some shelving made out of reclaimed wood. read more

This place is great on so many levels. First off, I love all of the woodwork, from the furniture to the accessories. Second, the space itself is open and feels comfortable, welcoming. Third, they offer some very cool classes, one of which I attended this last Friday. That's what I want to write about here. I saw a class for Linoleum Block Printing, which piqued my interest, so I signed up for it. I got an email a few days later (but at least a week before the class was scheduled), telling me that the class was supposed to have been offered on that Saturday instead of Friday, but the instructor said that she would teach the class even if it was just me. So nice! :) She went on to say that if I wanted to bring anyone, to just let her know how many people were coming so she could make sure there were enough supplies. When I arrived, I was greeted by Nancy, who was really gracious and sweet! We had a good chat while she settled me in for the class. The teacher, Jen, was wonderful. She was helpful and awesome to chat with. I had a blast learning how to create my stamp and talking with her about... well... everything. It was the highlight of my month, actually. Such a great experience -- I'm now hooked on linoleum//rubber block printing. I'm investing in inks and look forward to creating my own paper goods and printed fabric creations! Found Terra Amico through craigslist while searching for a used Emmerson dinning table from West Elm. Their listing read that they could build any comparable furniture for the same price with reclaimed wood. I contacted them and dealt with Lisa exclusively through email. I sent her the custom dimensions I wanted and several inspirational photos of my dream dinning table and bench. Luckily for me there was a photo of a table in their gallery that was close to what I was looking for. My wife and I visited their workshop twice to meet with Joe, once to see the furniture they had on site they've created for other customers and once to hash out the final design. Their policy is that there is no down payment. If you don't like it for any reason then you don't have to purchase it, they are confident they can sell it to someone else. I can't see this ever happening unless there was buyers remorse or the vision wasn't communicated thoroughly. I communicated to Joe that I liked big blocks of wood and wanted my dining table to look bulky and that's exactly what I got. I got a table with 2.5" thick top and 6 x 6 legs. In terms of pricing, it's reasonably priced for custom made furniture. I requested custom dimensions that I couldn't find anywhere else. It's a few hundred more compared to a contemporary furniture store but the quality and materials are unmatched. I knew I was buying a set of furniture that would last a lifetime. Also having cats in the house, even if their nails dig in, the damages will still go along with the reclaimed wood look. The turn around time was about a week for us but it seemed a lot shorter. Before we thought about it again, Lisa contacted us to say the table and bench were ready for delivery. read more

They had small dining table samples and finishes and stains you can choose from or you can design your own or show them a picture of what you want. They can do the look of Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn etc. The dining table and bench they made for us is really beautiful, it is the first thing that guests in our new place notice and ask about. I researched rustic reclaimed wood furniture for months before stumbling upon Joe's work on Craigslist. When we realized we'd be hosting Thanksgiving at an Ikea desk, Cary and I decided it was time to find a table. Not only would it have to pull out and stand up to semi-serious dining, it'd need to live most of its days tucked in an awkward, stove-side, visible-from-the-living-room void the designers of our apartment must've blocked out. So we ordered a custom table: counter-depth, table-height, and awkward-void-long, with several scrumptious colors of wood and those preciously named hairpin legs. Because we'd inquired in the thick of the holiday season and were willing to wait till the new year, by the time the table was delivered, I'd nearly forgotten we needed it. But, oh, the difference it makes! It fits so perfectly the wall behind it looks kinder in its constant hug. The range of colors in the tabletop's wood seem to catch and magnify the room's every neutral. The breadboard ends look cabin-y, friendly, and heartfelt. The ordering process (and for us it was a bit of a process what with the holiday season, the piece's hybrid purpose, and the separate ordering of metal legs) was engaging to the point of inspiring, and the end result? These guys are AMAZING!!! They helped us with a design, and said if we didn't like it we didn't have to buy it. We came to them with a space issue.We definitely went out of the box, they talked us into a bench (which we absolute LOVE) our kids actually love the bench. This review is long overdue, but the admiration for my new dining room table will be everlasting. In short, I was in the market for a new dining room table and wanted a round, reclaimed wood table. Not only was l looking to be environmentally friendly, I love the raw, variegated look that reclaimed wood as to offer. Lisa and Joe heard my wants and saw a few pictures of my inspiration piece, and they delivered on all fronts. The table is seriously gorgeous and brings a lot of personality to my "cozy" dining room/family room combo. From ordering, to delivery (even after they experienced complete destruction of their shop), they succeeded on all fronts! I am very thankful . I started my Terra Amico journey with a queen bed frame made of an old barn. Re-stained, sanded, and finished. I've never gotten so many compliments. Table started to deteriorate within six days of purchase. After repeated email with owner, five months later the table is still not fix. I asked for a refund because i think it was unacceptable. They said no on the refund because they would fix it for "lifetime" . I dont have five months to wait each time its broken. $3,000 down the drain. Very disappointed . I recommended this business to many of my friends... and it sad that they rather lose business and customers because of not wanting to give me a refund since i dont think their "outdoor" tables are actually for outdoors.
