Cute collectors toy house. I went here unknowgly the store had come in. Got a few cute collectors stuff including a baymax mix, marshmallow pin and t-shirt for my husband. There were so many cute things in here, but have to give you a heads up that since the quality is super thenprce is a bit on the high end.

3.5 for this store. Kinda pricey, but I can't complain since there aren't many anime stores around. Nice selection of plush, figures, and anime t-shirts. They also carry some marvel stuff too, which is nice. I heard the owner mentioning to a customer that they will not be carrying manga. They currently have promotions on the plushies & are giving lenticular anime mini posters for free with a purchase of $10 and up. Hopefully this store sticks around!

Such an amazing store! I am always doing my shopping at Westlake but sadly never paid attention to this store. That's my fault because I found out today it is filled with goodies! If you're into art, comics, anime, collector toys, etc., you'll probably find something that you'll like stocked here. Usually, I go to The Haight or Japantown for these toys, so I'm grateful that we have a specialty store like this in a convenient location. The staff was nice and helpful. I'm a collector of blind box toys and they had a bunch. A lot of Tokidoki ones, but a few other ones too. I like to buy a bunch to keep and also to give as small gifts. They also had a good selection of printed apparel, plush toys, figurines, and even some snacks. The store is well organized and had bins to put your tees in after you've tried them on. Businesses like this are really struggling and becoming increasingly rare, so bring your kids, bring your nieces, your nephews, yo grandma, your nerdy coworkers or anime, gamer friends and support Sekaido!

A week ago I went to the store asking for a my hero academia Ari plush & I showed the Asian man a picture of the Plush that I was looking for & he said he was waiting for his shipment to arrive. I ask if I could leave him my number to call me if the Ari plush was in his shipment & he said no because they'll loose my number or forget to call for me to come back. I guess he didn't want my business or my money. The customer is always right & if he would have been a smart man he would have gone out of his way to keep me as a customer.

Randomly found Sekaido while shopping in the area and I absolutely loved it! The amount of figures, plushies, and plenty other merchandise this store has to offer is amazing! They have a great range of products from newer animes, as well as some vintage finds from older favorites. If you're not an anime fan, the store also sells items related to all kinds of cartoons, video games, and so many more random, cute things! The employees are also very kind and fun to talk to. (Shoutout to Benjamin and Steven, thanks guys!) Can't wait to stop by again and pick up some more goodies soon! :)

I looove this store!! There's not really a store in Daly City that sell anime or Japanese goods. My boyfriend and I are probably here ever other week lolol. You even get a free small item if you take a picture and tag them on IG or Facebook! The owner and workers are super friendly too! Definitely worth checking out! (:

I even remember meeting Klay Thompson and other Golden State Warriors current and past players when they used to be at Tanforan Mall. The team working at this store is great, especially DJ who is very helpful and knowledgeable of the products he sells The store gets fairly busy, however, DJ is always attentive to his customers and makes it a point to help the customers find what they want/need. Ridiculous experience!…read more I was looking for a small item, found it several places online but Michael's was the only one that listed it as in stock. Great, I'll buy it from a brick and mortar store and get it same day! Placed the order and received a message saying they'd tell me when it's ready. 24 hours later still no message, so I just drove to the store thinking "surely it's out by now, they said it was in stock!" Item wasn't on the pickup shelf, so I asked the person working there (who was delightful and tried her best, 1 star review definitely doesn't apply to her) if she could help me track it down. She said the pickup orders being put on the shelves aren't really organized so there was no way to look for it. Great. Since the item was supposedly in stock, I asked if we could just go get one off the shelf. She said yes and went to grab it for me, returned 10 minutes later to say it wasn't there. I asked why this would be the case if it's listed as in stock, she replied that the delivery truck just dumps everything in the back and at that point it gets scanned as in stock, but that they have no idea where any specific item actually is. Great system! Finally gave up and went home to wait for them to email me, got an email ~4-5 hours later telling me my order had been canceled. If I had just ordered from Amazon the item be arriving around now, glad I instead opted to try to keep this disaster store in business. FYI something similar happened the one other time I shopped at this location a year or two ago, whole experience was a mess. Shame on me for thinking I'd get a different result this time, definitely won't be a third.

The IMIM Store - Robot Kits

Got a PIC programer and some other various things. After he moved to the current location thats closer to the airport I continue to buy things from him, usually emergencies when I'm short a part or have a rush on something. Hobby Engineering has a searchable website so you can see what he has in stock. The IMIM store hours are what I would nicely say Quasi-Predictable. He's basically running two businesses at the same time by himself and most business is through the mail-order/warehouse side of things however you can really tell he wants to have a storefront. I know currently he's trying for regular Saturday hours but its always best to read the website instructions. When I need something I check the website, then I call to see when he'll be around. If I'm in a rush after confirming he'll be there I'll place the order online and pay for it as a Will-Call and swing by. He has also been incredible in the past and met me at weird or late hours to pick something up. The IMIM store itself is on the second floor and he's making good progress on it as of my last visit. Quite a bit of hobby-related stuff on the shelves to browse. His speciality seems to be Robotics but a lot of general model making supplies around too. Not some much on display for general electronics but the warehouse is just downstairs so if you know he has it in stock and he doesn't have bunches of customers upstairs he has no issues grabbing parts from the warehouse. I have to reiterate, you need to read the website. Local store. One person. Hard to cover everything by himself. My hope ( and I'm sure Al's ) is that the storefront gets enough traction to warrant an employee. He's got a bunch of space and a lot of possibility.

Realizing that the store had some idiosyncratic operating procedures, I called the number on the web site. The person who answered was positively discouraging of a visit. He wanted to know what I was working on, and told me that he didn't really have any stock out to look at. I suspect that this is really a mail-order business, and references to it as a retail outlet are misinformed It would be nice if the owner changed his website to reflect that fact.

There are so many amazing toys for building and letting your creativity soar! From Brio trains and sets, to full new Lego kits, building blocks of all kinds, magnatiles, marble run and blocks, and so much more. Everything is organized in clean cloth baskets, the floor and tables are spotless, and they have cozy bean bag chairs and smaller sized tables/chairs for kids. You pay $15/hr per kid and it is well worth every dollar. Now, instead of buying all this stuff (and we have a fair amount at home), we can come here and explore, build, and maybe even make some fellow maker friends. Also, I don't know if it's because we were "not home" but my kid made sure (on his own) not to make a mess and put everything away after he played with it. That was amazing to see. I highly recommend this place for kids anywhere from 1.5/2+ years old but probably especially fun for the 2.5-6 year old kids (and parents). I would also recommend it for even older kids who can build the more complicated Lego kits on their own. You'll be seeing us back here again and again! Lastly, the owner is so lovely and I couldn't be happier to support a new great local business for kids!
