Even on a bustling Sunday morning, service was quick, easy, and painless. All of the seating is outdoor in the lively intimate Mercado courtyard which really enhances the entire experience. As you wait for your food, be sure to check out the delicious Mexican baked fare at La Estrella or grab a fresh brew at the Presta Coffee stall! I've come here numerous times and I have never been disappointed. On my last trip, I got the Plato Mixto which was simply delicious. Do yourself a favor and get the savory, slow-cooked Puerco Verde. Sei's Kitchen always seemed to be busy whenever we were in that area of town. I have a general rule that if you see a long line of people at a place it is worth giving it a try. What we found in this case is the line did not justify the wait. Also the reasons for the line became apparent. Seis is a counter service restaurant where you order at a window and they bring the food to your table. However they will not take an order if the do not have an open table. (Which in theory makes sense but doesn't account for customers who are ordering for take out) The seating at Seis is very limited. I am not sure if they are still practicing social distancing or if that is their normal capacity but there is certainly room for more seating and since they do not wait on you staffing shouldn't be a concern. The food itself was ok. My burrito was good, but the aqua Fresca I ordered was so sweet I could feel my dentist shaking her head. The taquitos were completely flavorless. My partner had street tacos which she said she enjoyed. The cost was about $25 per person but we did order an appetizer so without that I'm guessing it would have been closer to $20 per person. Which is good for a sit down restaurant but on the higher end for a counter service restaurant. TL:DR - nice location, ok food at moderately high cost. If the line is long you might want to try another option because you will stand there for a while. read more

A Tucson tried and true!! If I'm ever unsure of where to eat out, I can always fall back on Seis. I love that they have tacos from different regions of Mexico. They're all so unique and I haven't found a taco that I didn't like. One of my personal favorites is the puerco verde, it's super flavorful and juicy! Also any breakfast item is bomb. Their drink selection is also great; you can get refreshing agua frescas or if you need some caffeine, you can opt for a cochata (coffee and horchata!) This restaurant was delicious! Decided to stop by for brunch and the line was pretty long(that tells me something lol). You can find a seat outdoors and they will bring your food to you. The food was great in flavor and freshly made. If I ever go back to Tucson, I will definitely be stopping by, but for the lunch menu this time. Also, there were A LOT of pigeons that were with us as we ate, which made the experience less pleasant but more memorable I guess. This place is located in a cute plaza with parking in the back. The worker who took my order was very friendly. I got tacos: the poc chuc, al pastor, and crispy avocado. The al pastor was the best one, and I would get that again - perhaps one of the best al pastor tacos I've had. The poc chuc was disgusting to me, and I am not sure how it is "award winning". The crispy avocado was decent - worth a try but not as good as the al pastor. The tacos came with a side, so I got rice. I also got the prickly pear drink, which was decent. I love Seis, particularly this location in the Mercado. The courtyard is a lovely place to unwind with a good meal, and Seis certainly provides! I vastly prefer their tacos over their burritos; my favorites are the poc chuc, adobo steak, and crispy fish. The tacos are so delicious, and each has its own flavor that absolutely bursts in your mouth. I most often mix and match my tacos -- it's great that they let you do that, and allows you to get a little of everything you like! I recently took a group of out-of-town friends here for lunch, and it was a smash hit. In a city of so many great Mexican restaurants, the unique location and ambience set Seis apart. They all raved about the food, and thought it was really fun to have an open-air dining experience. Also, they were impressed with the enormous size of the kids' quesadillas -- they were so big the kiddos probably could have split one order and still had leftovers! Here you will find some dang good street tacos. We came on a Wednesday night around 7:30pm just before closing and waited in line for about 20 minutes, but it was time well spent. I recommend trying a variety of their street tacos and ordering some of the agua fresca. We especially loved the conchinita pibil and al pastor. It was so lacking in taste, I feared I had COVID-19 and took a bite of some tortilla chips at home just to make sure I still had my taste buds. Seis is located in a cute little market called Mercado San Agustin in southwest Tucson. Besides its bomb Mexican food, Seis is unique for its regional taco selections, in which each taco is based on the flavors of a particular region in Mexico. I ordered a 3 taco combo, because they have so many interesting taco combinations! My favorite taco was the puerco verde, as the flavors of the green chile pork meshed so well with the jalepeños and avocados. The smashed beans were also AMAZING. One of my favorite things about this place was the amount of filling they gave you! There was absolutely no skimping on meat. It made me want a second tortilla so I could split the filling in half! The only thing I would note is that I wish that the crispy fish taco was a bit more salty / had more flavor. The lime and the salsa helped me out with that alot though~ The horchata was also really good!! I liked it alot, and so did my friend, who compares everything to his mom's horchata haha I feel like that's a good sign! Another thing to note is that they do thicker corn tortillas. It's a bit different than what I think we, the general public, are used to, so just keep that in mind! overall, awesome food and good vibes! After you're done, you can take a stroll around the plaza and look at all the cool stores they have around there. Seis delivered on all accounts! My parents loved all the items they ordered (Taquitos & Al Pastor tacos). I ordered the pork nachos! Seis is always on point when it comes to my dietary limitations! When I asked them to put all the dairy on the side, for sharing with my mother, they got it right! (That doesn't happen often.) My parents tasted everything and just raved the entire time about the incredible food, and they loved the beautiful courtyard atmosphere of the Mercado San Augustine.
