Anyway, we recently bought two of them for a fundraiser and, OMG, they are delicious. The apples are large and crispy. We had the caramel one and the turtle, which is caramel, chocolate and walnuts. Absolutely fantastic. I remember seeing her on Good Day Sacramento and thought that it was cool to have a local vendor doing well. I will now be a lifelong purchaser!

Unfortunately, this un-bargain store must have had some type of "reorganization" or change in personnel aka: Management because the store is mostly empty now and their prices have shot clear up and out the roof. I used to look forward to shopping here and one area they helped me and my continuous strict-budget, was the low affordable cost for groceries. It's just changed so much. Perishable unfresh is the majority of their vegetable & fruit department. The majority of the employees look like they are brand-new, unskilled, and lacking in personal accountability & honest answers. Batteries may be the only item I purchase here now and most of the time, we get our batteries from their competitor; I think, Dollar Tree. In the middle of a severe pandemic & resource recession isn't the time to punish your paying customers by hiking up the prices of nearly everything & then abandon quality customer-service. Just updating this review as I noted during the review process just now that it's been a few years since updating this listing and now I see how an update for the paying consumer is crucially important for us all to be aware of. The asparagus from the Peacock Farm was so fabulous that I returned this morning determined to purchase more (only two bunches remained among all asparagus available .. and I again chose Peacock's)! But, the amazing thing is that I live for the day when "King of the West" honeydew's arrive at Publix in July or so ... and I know from the day Publix opened its first store in our fair city that we can count on Turlock's to get these melons this far east! Publix pretty much has a monopoly on these special melons, although I have seen an occasional KOW melon in a rival grocery. Being a housewife, with a husband in IT, DIY welding isn't on our radar. Sooo off to find a welder. The folks at Silveira's were patient and understanding as I tried to explain the part and break over the phone. When I brought it by, they gave me an extremely reasonable quote and time frame for repair. Waaaay less than the week+ and $170+. They were done on time and on budget. In addition to welding the part back together, which I had asked for, they also ground the top side of it flat, so that it would sit flush against the camper like it's supposed to, which I had not. (thank you for thinking ahead and saving me time and sweet sweet moolah!) Not to mention they were very friendly! Thanks, folks, and keep up the great work!
