Dropped off two garments to be fixed. A pillow case and a pair of jeans. Was told 4 business days,…read moreand to come back Thursday April 27, 2023 to pick up items. Went Friday April 28th for open to pick up my items and was informed they hadn't even started them. Refused to work on my pillowcase, as they wanted it to be washed. No problem. My issue is why am I finding about this as I'm at the business a day after I was told to pick up my items? Would have gladly went home the day I dropped off the items to wash. Wasn't refunded the entirety of my repair either. Paid $28.00 for the pillowcase repair, was refunded $20.00. Avoid this place. No communication. Mediocre work.

My Stitch-It Story: I had called Stitch-It Sunridge back on…read moreTuesday Aug 13th, 2019 calling to inquire that they would be comfortable/had experience with wedding dresses before as I needed three things done: 1. The hook at the top of the zipper fixed 2. The Dress hemmed to a floor lengthen 3. Remove the Crinoline inside of the inner most part of the dress I paid $211.58 upfront for the services and was called a week or so later to pick it up. When I picked it up, I asked if I could put on the dress to see the length and when I was trying it on I noticed that the hook at the top of the zipper was not fixed. However, the length looked fine and the crinoline was gone so I did not think too much about it. The women "tried" to do up the dress, with the hook still broken and without me holding the sides in like the women at the Wedding Dress Shop showed me to do (Boning). Then she said "Why I fix if you no fit?"... which really hurt to hear, made me panic (because I kind of NEED TO FIT) and as it turns out, was unnecessary. A week later I was in with a seamstress in south Calgary. She asked me to try on the dress and she did it up with no problems at all..... NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.... While testing the dress to see how it fit we found that the inner most layer was cut just above the knee. Stitch-It had CUT OFF the crinoline instead of un-stitching it. THEY CUT IT OFF!!!!! I called Stitch-It right away and an hour later I showed up with the dress and went over (again) the issue. I handed over the dress (in the garment bag) which was swiftly put on a low hook with the dress (in the bag) half on the floor. I will say that at this point I was just going to grab the dress and pay the money for the professional to fix it but I had already paid for the work so I wanted it done right. Flash forward to , Monday Sept 9th (10 days before the wedding). I called the location to inquire if my dress was ready as it had been well over a week and I had not heard anything yet. The women who answered the phone had initially said "No" and then when I asked when I could expect it to be ready she talked to someone in the background and then said "yes, it's ready". After work I headed straight over to pick it up and when I opened the garment bag the dress wasn't even on the hanger properly. Only one of the sleeves was on the hanger so the whole weight of the dress was on the one sleeve. They didn't even bother to use the string that is inside of the dress to help hang it up. Then I unzipped it more to find that the dress was just stuffed into the bag (I realize that the dress is longer then the bag and this can't be helped but you can fold it in nicely vs. stuffing it in.) THEN, I started to pull up the layers of my dress to find that they just sowed the same piece they cut off in the first place, back on (crinoline and all) and to add to already frustrating situation, the seams were sown facing OUT... I was trying to express my frustration with the older lady with the short black hair but she told me that I 'changed my mind' and that this is what I asked for. I was so frustrated that I didn't even know what to say. She told me that her manager told her to do it and I told her that I know it's not her fault but that I went in detail over the phone and tried to tell the other lady in person. I ended up leaving and walking around the mall to calm down a bit as I know they don't deserve to be yelled at for something that is not their fault. About 10-15mins later I came back in to ask for your information and I am not going to lie, it was disappointing that I couldn't get a direct line or email for a manager, I was just given the general email. So there it is. I don't know how to express to you my immense disappointment with my entire experience with the Stitch-It and needless to say I will not be back and I would like my money back. Update: I did finally get a hold of the manager and she did refund me entirely (although, at first it was only going to be $40 refunded). She also gave me chocolates and a card to apologize.
