The sweetest lady greeted us as we walked in and said she would do it right away. I told her since there were a few warm days ahead, she could take her time and we could pick it up monday morning. it was perfect and super great pricing. I then noticed a pair of my workout leggings had a broken thread on one of the pockets (those arent easy to stitch and tear holes if you dont do it correctly especially when contouring in funky positions while lifting weights), so i took those in... she literally had them done by the time i went to my car to grab her cash to pay for them. she is AMAZING! Highly recommend her for any tailor needs. Super sweet, professional, great priced, and prompt... i may not ever attempt seamstressing again with her as my neighbour!

After three weeks of delays and excuses, i took my fabric to Gene's. First off, this shop is very very tiny and the change room is more of a change corner with a curtain. But dont let the interior fool you; the seamstress was very accommodating and knows her stuff, and quite affordable. I went in this Sunday for my first fitting and i really am liking how my waist coat is turning out. I go back in on Wednesday for final touchups and pick up on Thursday for Friday wedding invitation photos. Ill post a picture once the vest is complete. Stay tuned :)

Thanks to Wild Rose cleaners and $12.50, I have my favourite pants back to their far less ventilated state. They asked me when I needed them back and I said there was no rush. "Okay," she responded, "They'll be ready for you by tomorrow." Talk about speedy service when I didn't even ask for it! It makes me wonder what they would have done if they needed to put a rush on it. I'm very impressed with the quality of the work and the prices at Wild Rose Cleaners.

We took the item home and looked again at his ad which said "NEW, NEVER BEEN USED. The item had been used, in fact the necessary part was ruined beyond use. When I went to purchase a new part the cost was almost $100.00 Cdn, not $10.00. Then the owner claimed that he only turned the machine on once and that was how the blade was damaged. Not likely! There was no note in his ad about the damaged blade. Again when I rechecked the ad, the item was "NEW, NEVER BEEN USED". How can this be???? I made the mistake of trusting this man when I shouldn't have. I went back the next day and politely asked him to refund my money and no surprise he won't. Is this the type of business man you want to deal with. Now I understand why his business has a 2.6 star rating. Avoid this place like the plague!!!! ZERO STARS!

The clerk at the fabric store told me she'd heard good things about The Sewing Place so I gave it a try. Yvonne was just great. Figured out how much fabric I'd need to buy; sewed me a mattress protector, fitted sheet and flat sheet for a great price. I highly recommend her.
