Extremely nice staff and genuinely nice people. We were in a huge pinch and needed a sewing needle because ours broke mid way doing some work and they were their for us. I've gone there since and their alteration service is amazing, very talented and efficient. You can tell they are well experienced and know what they are doing! It is as good as it gets! I've been going to Ivy for all my suits and pants and I have to say, she does a perfect job of making my very affordable suits look like they have been done bespoke. Amazing service, wonderful lady and even better quality. She's extremely popular now so it takes about a week for her to do alterations but it is worth every minute of it. I brought her a pair of my new dress work pants to get hemmed. Took a week to get done. Once I finally got them back I put them on the next day getting ready for work and I noticed they weren't even on both sides. So I brought them back and she kindly said she would fix them and was nice enough to make them a little longer as I asked. But the next day, same problem. Still not even! Maybe I have a leg longer then the other? But it's not like I didn't put them on twice now so she could get it right!! read more

I can do minor alterations myself but whenever something is difficult for me or scary because it's for something really important I take it to Perfect Alterations in Crowfoot. I have been going here for about 5 years and I've never been disappointed. She is so kind and really talented and I often see her helping people out in a time pinch. Ivy Sun has retired, and this new lady has taken over. She has raised the prices and seems just a bit unorganized. And her attitude is way different from Ivy, who would do anything and everything required perfectly. Her attitude is "if it's a little bit hard", I charge extra. I brought in a jacket that needed sleeves shortened. It was one of those new style slim down jackets, but she said that down filled items were harder to work with and slapped an extra $10 charge on it. And when it came back, the worksmanship was horrible. I will give her the benefit of the doubt and say perhaps she is just starting out and will learn over time, but for me, I will take my business elsewhere to someone who was as friendly and experienced as Ivy. If I find one, I will share with all. read more

I checked reviews for this excellent alteration business after having several repairs done elsewhere over the past few years which were disappointing. I am so happy to find Perfect Alterations as I can take work in without any concerns and with confidence in perfect results every time. The seamstress is very pleasant and very helpful and her work is far superior to my past experiences elsewhere. She is also more reasonable with a faster turn around. It is quite a treat not to wait two weeks for hemming and then come away disappointed. I had pants hemmed that were different types of fabric and finishes and all came back looking great. I really appreciate her expertise in measuring the proper length which removes the worry from my guesswork attempts. Her work quality is very professional. Thank you for altering my daughter's grad dress! The price was reasonable and they knew exactly what to do to make a lace up in the back where the zipper would not go up all the way. She recommended having spaghetti straps for the grad dance which could discreetly be tucked inside. No one would ever know how we changed up this dress! read more

I went to get my coat repaired because I'd ripped it right under the armpit. The lady was really nice and explained that there would still be a seam showing because of where the rip was and how bit it was. Walking into the store I already knew that there was no way there wasn't going to be a seam showing but I appreciated that she tried to make me aware of it also. I felt I paid a very good price and they fixed the rip. They fixed the rip and it's clean and professional looking. They didn't even have to sew through the lining to do the invisible fix. read more

Based on the 5-star reviews that I read here, I took 4 pairs of dress slacks to Perfect Alterations. Three of them needed the legs tapered and all four needed hemming. I followed the advise on Yelp and went to perfect Alterations for a Bridesmaid dress. There was A LOT of work to be done on the bodice and on the skirt a small adjustment to the hips. It took 2.5 weeks for it to be completed, but I couldn't have asked for anything better! The service was great, price was reasonable and she gave opinions on what should be done to the dress. I went in today to inquire their charges for a few of my clothes that needed minimum alterations and they quoted exhorbitant rates and they have no idea what pricing to be done .The service was horrible and not pleasant . They have hung some chimes at the entrance and I almost got tangled while exiting out :) Anyways I don't recommend this place at all .For the price they quoted I could buy new clothes . read more

I took a bridesmaid dress to this place just to have a hem and a slit, no other alterations. The first time I went to pick up the dress the slit bubbled at the top and it was still too long. I also asked her to have the dress steamed, which wasn't done. I had to come back to pick up the dress a day and a half before the wedding, even though I had a ton of preparations to do with the bride - but I came across the city to pick up the dress. The top of the slit was fixed, however she again didn't hem it properly. The left side comes above my shoe and the right side is dragging on the floor. It looks awful. So now I have to take a needle and thread and actually hand stitch it myself and hope it looks okay - after I paid $100 for a hem and a slit. She actually asked me if I could come and pick it up the day of the wedding! Uh...No. Three fittings for what should be a simple hem is crazy. I don't mind paying extra for good quality and good service, but there was absolutely no attention to detail here. She offered to redo it and bring it to my house, but I was so angry I just left. It should have been done properly the first time. Also, the bag she puts it in after it's done doesn't even cover the dress, only covered half. I would never go back to this business and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

As a another reviewer mentioned - Ivy is no longer there!! I have been going to 'Perfect Alterations' since 2002. At that time the owner was a Polish lady who did amazing work for extremely reasonable prices. She returned to Poland & Ivy took over, so I thought I would try her. She raised the prices ( previously $8 to hem a pair of pants to $13 for ex) but the location was convenient for me & her workmanship was very good. When the present owner took over, I still tried taking my alterations there. She was expensive & the work was terrible! I have taken THREE separate items back three different times to be redone, and I will not be going back! One example was a pair of pants that I simply wanted hemmed - when I tried them on at home there were very obviously two different lengths & hemmed at two different angles.How can someone botch the easiest alteration there is, especially when that is their business??? With my other items she made comments like "It's difficult" ..........the jobs were not that difficult, & that's why I pay someone else to do my alterations for me!! Save yourself a return trip to get your items redone. I don't expect she will continue to be in business with such bad work & high prices. Too bad because Perfect Alterations has such a great reputation from it's two previous owners! As you can see, I don't write many reviews, but I had to speak out on this business. read more

A while ago I had to get my dress resized as I had ordered it online and it was just too big on me. So I decided to come here, and honestly the way she did her job was so professional and perfect. There was no single trace of visible adjustments on my dress, it seemed as if it was brand new, and I love how there were no visible seams or any malfunctions. She takes her work very seriously and ends up with perfect results. I couldn't be any happier! I will always come to her for any alterations needed as it was just the perect experience.
