The woman at the front asked me when my wedding was, and I said within the next year. I asked if we could look around, and she told me that the staff are paid by commission and implied that if we weren't guaranteed to buy a dress that day then they wouldn't be making commission and wouldn't want to serve us. She also said that they don't want to spend their time on customers who are not guaranteed to purchase a dress that day because they would prefer to spend time on customers who had a higher chance of purchasing that day. On the day that we went, it was not busy and it seemed that there was only 1 bridal party in the store. I recommend going somewhere else.

They had a fairly sizeable selection, and I actually found 2 of my favourite dresses so far here :) The lady helping me was very accommodating in terms of trying to get dresses that were not my size to fit me so I could see what they looked like :P I was also offered a nice discount on one dress, and she gave me lots of advice on alterations & such, and was just very friendly and helpful in general. So yeah, overall, I'd say I had a very good time shopping here & would recommend it to others (as long as you're not working on a dirt-cheap budget... you might have very few choices looking here, if that were the case).

The vibes were really off from the manager or whoever was in charge…read more I had a dress on layaway and made two follow-up appointments. I had to cancel the first due to scheduling issues, but I confirmed the second. When I called to make the follow-up appointments, I explained that I wanted to come in and try on the dress I had chosen again to make sure it was the one I wanted. During my first appointment, I saw the dress on the mannequin and loved how it looked. Luckily, they had it in my size. When they brought it out, they mentioned it was wrinkled because it had just been taken out and hadn't been steamed yet. I decided to go with the dress and put it on layaway, but I had a hard time seeing past the wrinkles in the photos I took when I first tried it on. That's why I wanted a follow-up appointment and asked twice if it was possible to have the dress steamed like the other dresses on the floor. Both times, whoever I spoke to said they could do that for me. Today, I went in for my follow-up appointment (I live an hour outside of Calgary), and they brought out the dress, but it wasn't steamed. When I asked about it, the manager or whoever she had immediately told me they couldn't steam the dress unless I paid for it in full. I tried to explain the initial conversations I had with the other staff who booked my follow-up appointments, but she was dismissive and her vibes were totally off. She kept repeating that they only steam fully paid dresses. I was going to pay it off today as I had it on layaway, but she questioned who booked my appointment and demanded her workers find out. She kept talking over me and to her workers in a tone that made me feel uncomfortable. I tried to show her the image of the wrinkly dress I had when I first tried it on, but she didn't seem interested and kept saying they don't steam dresses on layaway. I tried to explain that it was steamed on the mannequin and the other dresses on the floor weren't as wrinkly, but she kept asking her workers to find out who booked my appointment. Eventually, she said they could steam the top material to smooth it out, which was all I had wanted and requested. She quickly had two workers in the back steaming the top material for me, and I got to try it on wrinkle-free. I felt so awkward and uncomfortable from her tone and attitude towards me and her workers that I shut down. I didn't feel good after that and didn't want to engage with her or anyone there. I ended up deciding to keep looking for my dress elsewhere and didn't want to get that dress anymore from them. The worker and other manager who helped me during my first appointment were so welcoming and hyped me up, and I left feeling so good. But after today, I think I'll stay far away from David's Bridal. It's unfortunate because I loved the dress, but the way the older manager made me feel was no good, and I don't need that kind of energy near me. So, I decided to let go of the dress, and they took $140 off my $350 layaway price, which I find unfair as I really wanted the dress, but the whole experience was off, so I guess I'll just take the loss and move on far away from this place.

Thank you Chloe for your really great service yesterday and knowing just when to ask " is this your dress?" It was a fun and exciting time. All the staff at David's Bridal were so friendly and warm and made the day a very memorable one for us. Thank you.

Moores makes it a lot easier. Moores isn't the cheapest place to find quality clothes. But the combination of good people and occasionally great sales makes it very affordable and convenient. And the service has always been excellent each time I've been. Moores is also great for rentals, but I've never rented anything from them. The service is what's important though. I can't stress enough how important service is, especially if you're shopping for clothing and you aren't the most familiar with shopping. Moores will not disappoint.

Turns out he was measured, they lost the measurements! So they had to express send it to Calgary. Then the day before the wedding we go to pick up the tux's and they tell us the groom that wasn't measured has also not paid for anything. So he had to go through all his banking to find proof that he had paid to have his tux released. As we go through this hell the manager was kind to stand behind them and hold up the wall texting not bothering once to talk to us or help out at all... No one their gave to craps about us and all the shit they had put us through. I will make it a personal mission to never go back, and tell everyone to stay away from moores. You would really think they would do their best to help out and go above and beyond to ease the pain of wedding stress, instead of holding up walls and texting.. I read the papers that came with the bracelet, to save time I decided to take it to the jewelry store at south center mall. First they tried to tell me I had to send it back by email I pointed out where it stated you could bring it to the store. Then I was made to feel that it was my fault for it breaking it by now I was getting annoyed I stated what is the problem either send it to be fixed and or replace it after all I had only had it on for an hour or so. Finally they prepared forms to send it for repaired at my expense ! and tried to sell me a plan that covers any damage for life. So after receiving the bracelet and wearing it for an hour or less I had to pay to get it fixed. So not impressed with this store it's staff and the whole Ben Moss experience I doubt I shall ever buy anything from Ben Moss again. It says a lot when the jewelry store doesn't even back its product , have sent a email to Ben Moss with these concerns we shall see what kind of customer service I get at this point my hopes are not very high.

In 2012 I bought an engagement ring from Ben Moss in Regina, Saskatchewan for $4500.00 and the…read morerelationship ended before I proposed. So the ring has been sitting in a safe until a month ago. I was told that Ben Moss would take a previous ring in on a trade. So I brought the ring in a month ago for them to send the ring to their office in Toronto and was told that it would be two weeks. I just got off the phone with the manager of the store and he told me that I wouldn't receive any valve for the ring to trade. The reason is that there was a bad diamond in the ring and I could pay extra to replace the bad diamond and then pay another $90 to send it back to the main office in Toronto to get the ring appraised. So basically, Ben Moss is telling me that they sold me a $4500.00 ring that had a lifetime guarantee that had a bad diamond in the ring. When the manager told me that it wasn't his staff that sold me the ring and he would like to help me pick out the perfect engagement ring, I told him I would be taking my business elsewhere. I would strongly suggest that if you are looking to make a substantial investment in purchasing jewelry look at a different company.
