While in Venice for the weekend, I found Seed and Bean on a gluten free food app and decided to give it a try for breakfast. I didn't realize it had CBD and THC options until seated and browsing the menu, fun! There were quite a few gluten free options, I went for a bacon, onion and cheese omelette with gf toast and fruit. My gluten eating companion tried the biscuits and gravy. My omelette was light and fluffy, cooked to perfection. I did not partake in the cbd or thc shot for my coffee but that's a fun option! I ordered a delicious latte, eggs Benedict, and a half-order of biscuits and gravy--and everything was absolutely amazing. Even the fruit cup had fresh, juicy fruit (which is rare these days!). But the real star of my visit was my waitress, Jenny. She was so sweet, attentive, upbeat, and just a joy to talk to. She took such good care of me from start to finish. When I told her I was so full I couldn't move, she invited me to relax on the comfy couches in their lounge area and stay as long as I wanted. Who does that anymore?! Truly the sweetest touch. The restaurant itself is super clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with plants and fun, colorful art. Such a cozy atmosphere! A very solid place on the main strip! We met some of my parents friends there and I would not have picked it for lunch, but honestly I had one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I ever had. The croissants were amazing with a touch of sweetness and I could eat that sandwich everyday and be a happy camper. Our server was very kind especially since there were 9 of us and there were different checks for different parties. I liked how it also had a coffee atmosphere to it as well as CBD but also served beer and good food. I even had to come back and utilize their wifi for a minute to send an email and the server was nice enough to let me sit back down at the bar and use it without ordering anything. I get to add another favorite stop to my trips to Venice Beach. Seed and Bean has a fantastic menu full of variety. We came in for lunch and decided to get it to go because we were ready for the beach. The inside is super cute and I like the color scheme. I got a hummus wrap that had red peppers, hummus and feta with some greens. I also got a caramel latte that ended up being a little too sweet but will definitely will order it differently next time:) and also we got I think it was a chocolate cheesecake slice that was so delicious the texture was so soft with a nice bite from the crust. Breakfast was great. Everything from service to food was on point. The brioche French toast was golden brown and fluffy. Ordered a fried egg and grits on the side. The grits were very creamy. Boo . Tuesday afternoon, one Server. Seven people inside and our table of three outside. And she couldn't get one thing done. We couldn't get our drinks. Waited 20 minutes before I went inside and stood at the bar, watched her chat to the bar, patrons and interrupted to ask for my drinks. Simple really, one glass of wine one beer. Anya says "oh you want your drinks? I will bring them out. Beer and wine, right?". I said correct and I will wait right here for my drinks and carry them out myself. I had to remind her of the Bier that my friend ordered. And they were all out of wine. So that's weird right? We also ordered apps and I would've pulled back the order, but since she already submitted it, I walked back to my table outside. The good news is the avocado fries and brussels sprouts were nice. I had originally come to sit at a dog friendly, which it absolutely is, table; opted to get a coffee and muffin to go instead but only because the pups seemed like they needed some more walking time. I would've loved to sit longer since the doggie vibe was great! The girl (server) came right out when she saw us and cheerfully greeted us- she was a ball of energy and smiles. Even when I told her I decided to just grab a cup to go she remained 100% on point with great customer service and didn't make me feel like I was being a nuisance (some servers can seem less than thrilled when a quick cheap order comes at them), she was just lovely. The menu looked yummy and the all day breakfast is something to for sure be tried in the future. The coffee was quite delicious but was a bummer I was given the wrong muffin, I (just don't like blueberry muffins), so since we were already pretty far away when I realized it I just tossed it out. Staff was friendly, they were a little short staffed but still managed to check in on us. Lunch menu was limited but expanded for dinner. Want to like this place more because I am local. I could walk here! They have good music and some good draft beers but the food - It's so hit or miss that we are afraid to risk it now. The minestrone soup - sour and kind of slimy on the last visit. The charcuterie board? It was amazing about a month ago and last week it was SAD. We asked for some more veggies to dip in the hummus as all we got were stale water crackers. And we got chunks of carrots (dirty skin still on) and dry sliced zucchini. Oh, and the salads are small and overpriced. Maybe this should just be a brewery and music locale. Forget the food attempt. Other places for us to walk to downtown. See ya! read more

This CBD cafe chain just opened in Venice, FL and I came by with some locals to try out breakfast. Two of us went with the Eggs Benedict with a side of hash browns. The Eggs we're quite good though a bit heavy with the sauce. The hash browns had a great flavored but they were basically cold when they came out. Like they had been prepared 20 minutes earlier and left to cool. The flavor was really good so we each ate about half of them, but they would have been better if they were hot. I had a Cuban coffee con leches and honestly it was too much cream and too large a cup of coffee for a Cuban con leches. It was basically a large latte with sugar. Good flavor but too much cream, I would recommend going with a straight Cuban coffee if you are so inclined. read more
