Antagonistic owner alluding that customers are the reason he wants to leave California!? Huh?! Anyway, I arrived at the smog station to smog my BMW 335i 2007. I presented an OBD2 app that showed all emissions tests Passed. He said that since all these tests Passed for my 2007 BMW 335i, it will therefore pass his smog testing. He simply said it would pass without any further conditions. He explained that Permanent fail codes on model 2010 and newer cars would make the car FAIL but that mine is a 2007 model car and did not have that permanent failure code. I then turned on my car and looked and I had a yellow check engine light (I think it's called), along with many other lights that turn ON and then go OFF. I asked him about that Check Engine light that was momentarily ON and he said my car won't pass now... and that I didn't tell him I had that check engine light. And while we were talking the light turned off within 10 seconds or so after start like other lights. I then asked him for clarification compared to what he told me a moment ago that it will definitely pass if there are no permanent codes but he seemingly changed his story saying it will fail because he already 'hooked it up" or something (?) in the 2 minutes. I saw no cable but I'm not sure. He began to get very aggressive cutting me off in mid-sentence as I'm trying to calmly discuss the details of how these things. I maybe get three or four words in my non-confrontational way and he's cutting me off correcting me telling me how to things are while being very rude. I had a very bad feeling immediately in 2 secs into his rant that this guy is an A$$. I gave him an opportunity to back off and he would not stop the verbal assault on me. I told him to stop with the noise saying "you win, just stop talking" But he wouldn't stop. And the only way I could get away from him coming down on me so hard was very or of my car & walk out of the shop telling him don't talk to me. Of course he wasn't done. He starts talking about California and how he needs to get out of California I'm the reason why he wants to leave California. He's not a good man. This kind of person is always worth avoiding because he wants you to be on the losing end of any discussion when dealing with him. read more

I do no normally post negative reviews as every business can have an off day. But the technician made me so uncomfortable I feel I need to say something. It took almost 45 min to complete the test as he was talking politics and wild conspiracy theories instead of completing the service. When I stated I had another appt and asked if he could hurry he went doubled down and got more aggressive with the conspiracy theories. It was the most uncomfortable I have ever felt while have service done to my vehicle. I will not be using the location again. read more

The smog process was fine but the technician was verbally abusive. He immediately stared talking about politics and when he realized I didn't agree with him he started to scream his beliefs to me. I didn't engage but he wouldn't stop. It was unnerving. read more

Terrible customer service experience. Walked in for a smog check, employee ignored me while glued to his phone. When he finally acknowledged me, he had an attitude, asked me to fill out paperwork, and said it would take 25 minutes while still staring at his phone. No eye contact, made me feel unwelcome. Honest fast reasonable prices great guy. I have been going to him for years even when I don't have to go to a test only station I still come here. They don't play games they simply do what they are supposed to quick and easy no funny business my friend went to another shop in Town that told her she needed all kinds of repairs before her car would pass. I looked at it myself no codes no ck engine light nothing took it over to Simi Smog I didn't say anything simply what thru the normal procedure he somehow knew it went to another shop from the computer information I then explained what happened he asked me what repairs I did I said nothing just drove it you and here we are. Moved back to California and had a smog test done, but was talked down to because of my Texas license plate. Instead of making normal conversation, the guy working there talked about how bad Texas was even though he'd never been and how bad the people are out there. Made me uncomfortable and nervous to have my car worked on. He completed the smog test but I will not be going back. read more

I brought my car here to get smogged and the censors were not reading. So the employee tells me to bring it back after repair for $10 after I paid in full. I get the car fixed and dodge made it very clear to get it smogged right away and not let the car sit. Because I already paid the full smog price to Me Smog I brought it back so I wouldn't have to pay another $50 for a smog elsewhere. The store said it opens at 8 on saturdays. I showed up at 830. No one. Waited until 9:15. No one showed up. I was forced to take it elsewhere and spend yet another $50. Not sure if they ever even showed up that day. Unprofessional. read more

Good place. Competent, helpful workers. The people here know what they're doing and can be very helpful if you're trying to pass smog. I got a lot of help from them on what was going on with my car when it initially failed to pass smog. By replacing a sensor rather than my catalytic converter, I saved over $600. Brought my 2020 Cummins turbo smog about a week ago and the employee Richard Chavira told me my vehicle didn't pass because it wasn't ready. He tells me to drive it 200 miles and come back for the smog again. I come back today to do the smog and he doesn't seem like he wanted to do the truck. He just told us it still wasn't ready. So we left and went across the street to the shell smog and was told that our vehicle was ready and passed the smog. We will no longer be coming to this location because of this issue. I insist on the management to get rid of that employee and hire and more willing one. read more

If they had good customer service I would have easily given them a five star review, but they're not wasting anytime with conversation or customer service. They're quick! I was in and out under fifteen minutes. So don't go looking for a friendly conversation. It's the perfect spot to go when you're short on time. They also give discounts to AAA members, without having to show your card. Just mentioned AAA and they gave me $8 off. For a smog check its usually $58 flat for the test and certification. In the past I've found cheaper places but if you're in a hurry this is a go to. I would go back. read more

We went here because it always seems busy and it was literally on the right side of the street. There was one guy working and one customer ahead of us. Seeing us pull up the one worker dude greeted us promptly and gave us the appropriate paper work. Worker dude finished up with the guy ahead of us and they seemed to get along swimmingly. Their interaction made me feel more comfortable with worker dude. My husbando came along and peppered the WD with questions pertaining to our truck while me and the beasties sat on a nice bit of shaded bench. Thank the good Lord that our truck passed! We paid (the price is average nothing special) and left. The whole ordeal took up about a half hour of our time. The biggest seller point to going back here actually came from comments that my husband made. He remarked that he had, in the past, gone to the $10 cheaper check across the street at the Shell station but that the people there were rude. Husbando also commented on the fact that Worker Dude was a genuinely nice guy who gave honest and straightforward answers about our truck. This is high praise from husbando since most the time he seems indifferent to most things. I recommend this place. It is simple and no frills but Worker Dude was honest and got the job done! read more

Got great service and my car was smogged quickly and at a good price! I would definitely come back! It didn't pass the first time because the battery was new so he told me to drive 100 miles and come back and he would check to make sure it was ready before retesting. Business hours are posted with an 8am open time for Saturday's. I arrived at 840 and they were still closed. I went back at 10 and after sitting in line for 10 minutes, the guy doing the smog test walked up to my car and handed me the clipboard and said "here fill this out". No hello or good morning? Okay. Sat for another 15 minutes with no cars finished. I had my 3 year old with me and she was getting impatient. I noticed there were no cars across the street. I walked the clipboard up to the work station and got back in my car. I noticed he had stopped what he was doing to check the clipboard I dropped off. When he saw I had kept the paper and was reversing, he started yelling at me in front of all the customers (I was two cars back) that he was only going to be 5 minutes. I told him I didn't see how that was considering there were people in front of me and the same car is still in the garage. I started my car up and he yelled out something that I didn't hear. I'm sorry I missed it because I saw the other customers were all looking at me and laughing. I went across the street where they got me right in AND with a smile. By the time I was done with my smog check AND paying for my registration AND getting my plate sticker, I looked across the street and saw the car in front of me was finally in the garage. Because I got yelled at by him, I went back over to let him know, "that would have been a long 5 minutes, I'm done and I even got my plate sticker" his response "good for you" I will NEVER go back here. That was the worst customer service experience I have had in a very longtime. Good luck to you sir. I would suggest not yelling at people that are trying to be paying customers. Went in, I was in a hurry because I literally had not even seen that my registration required smog for a car that is rarely driven. The first time I came in, the guy was beyond rude, and me, being a person who didn't really know about cars, did not realize that my check engine light would automatically fail my car for smog. The guy neglected to mention that when he got in my car and saw it. He ran the test and took my money knowing full well that that one minor detail would fail my car. He was incredibly rude. When I got the part fixed, a small part that took less than 5 minutes to fix, I went back and he was even more rude. He yelled at me the whole time he rechecked my car attributing the problems of our country to 'you young kids' and informed me that he only hires immigrants for his shops because we 'white people' are stuck up. I will not ever take my car to him nor do I recommend that anyone else does. read more
