I had a great experience with Dr. Bootstaylor. I initially went in and was diagnosed with a miscarriage. He was compassionate, calm and listened to me. Other providers were just matter of fact about losing the pregnancy and told me what I "had to do" rather than giving me options and letting me make my own decisions. I greatly appreciated the time he took with my family. I saw him again as a backup for my midwife during my subsequent successful pregnancy. I saw him for a confirmation scan and the 20 week anatomy scan. Both times I was given through explanations and had a lovely experience with his bedside manner. We paid up front and the costs were made clear upon making the appointment. The practice was always organized and clean. It's difficult being healthcare provider in a specialty where the stakes are so high. People have big expectations. I have to say my expectations were met and I felt Dr. Bootstaylor provided much more compassion and respect for patients than most providers. I always recommend a midwife first, but otherwise this was the next best option for our family. read more

Transferred to SeeBaby from Northside @ 16 weeks.  Dr. Bootstaylor was the only doctor we found that would give us a consult without enrolling in their system. Our initial discussion with him revealed his approach to childbirth and his podcast interview helped confirm that it aligned with mine. It's impressive how Dr. B remembers all his patients, even when mom-to-be panics in the middle of the night. Overall, the practice is intimate, well-oiled and extremely personal. It was calming to see the same faces with every visit, especially, Mid-wife Ellen, who just like Dr. B is non-alarmist and compassionate. Delivering at AMC Well Star surpassed our expectations. The facility is staff by extremely professional, caring nurses from delivery and recovery. Very under-rated. read more

I came here because I heard Dr. Bootstaylor was a big proponent of natural birth and women's choices in birth and I liked that. I've now had three prenatal appointments at SeeBaby and I'm not going back. It might be the chaos of their recent transition that explains my poor care. If you don't know, you should know that Dr. Bootstaylor is currently fighting multiple malpractice suits and SeeBaby nearly closed in October of last year. I was willing to let my concerns about this info go because of their reputation. But then.. My first appointment was around 5 weeks. When I called they went ahead and scheduled me knowing how far along I was, but when I got there they seemed confused that I was being seen so early in my pregnancy. Um, that was their choice, not mine? The appointment was very cursory. Urine test and that's about it. Not a lot of information, no "eat this not that," I looked all that info up myself. They didn't order an ultrasound but said I'd hear the heartbeat on the doppler at the next visit. I went to the next visit, and the provider I saw was confused about why I hadn't had an ultrasound. Um, your colleague didn't order one? She also said there was no way the doppler would pick up the heartbeat. Uhh.. then why did the other person tell me I would get the doppler today? These are two of their main providers, why couldn't they get their story straight? I was then scheduled for an ultrasound. Today I had the ultrasound. My husband came with me. The trainee who did my ultrasound was SILENT through the whole thing. She never said, "This is your baby" or "This is the heartbeat." Just looked around on the ultrasound and said NOTHING. Instead she and the person training her just talked about the right way to do the ultrasound through the whole thing. This isn't just a training exercise, this is my first pregnancy. There should be at least a little magic in it. They didn't print me a picture of the ultrasound. They didn't offer to let me take a picture. It was as if I was going for a normal physical, or as if my husband and I were not in the room. I know I'm a hormonal pregnant lady right now, but the whole thing felt so anticlimactic and sad that I cried afterward. My husband walked out and said, "I didn't even know what I was looking at." Great. THEN the provider I saw after the ultrasound didn't remember me. I had met her on my first visit and we'd had a whole conversation, and she had not even looked at my chart enough to know that she had seen me before. Come on! Last thing, I hate to be a snob about this, but I have a PhD and told them at the first visit that I'm not Ms. XX, I'm Dr. XX. Not once have they actually called me Dr despite that? This by itself is really not a big deal, but with everything else I just have the impression that they don't really care about their patients. I'm super disappointed and going elsewhere. read more

In January of 2018, I chose this location for care during my pregnancy. At the time, See Baby was located at Emory Midtown. They took my insurance information and told me I would be billed on a later date. I only had 2 visits before things went downhill. During my initial consultation, I told them I needed to be seen every week, as my last pregnancy ended with a miscarriage at 17 1/2 weeks. I needed a blood transfusion and a D&C. I discussed my concerns to the doctor, but he dismissed them. I tried to find another practice to go to but wasn't able to in time. During my second visit, I would have been around 8 1/2 weeks, but the sonogram showed I was miscarrying. I spoke with the doctor, and begged for a D&C in his office, but he only offered a prescription of misoprostol, and told me if I didn't want to take medication, I could allow nature to take it's course. Four days later, I would miscarry in my home. However, I was bleeding profusely. I ended up calling emergency services and was rushed to Emory Midtown. Despite calling the after hours emergency line for See Baby, no one answered, or returned my phone calls. I ended up needing a D&C and 3 BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS as a result of me hemorrhaging as a result of miscarrying. The shocking thing was the bill I received after my experience. I was billed for 2 sonograms, despite my insurance actually covering them. I went to a different specialist at Emory I now had a diagnosis of recurring miscarriages, PCOS, and a prolactinoma. They were able to determine that See Baby purposely used a different billing code to make me responsible for something my insurance covers. read more

Here's a background story about myself. For starters I'm a health vegan nut, I love everything natural & believe that we should use the tools that God gave us with everything such as healing and birth. This is why I initially chosen a at home water birth. What could possibly be more natural than that right? However Upon delivery I realized I had a rapture in my amniotic fluid sac. I felt defeated, I thought my natural birthing plans were all canceled. I was then referred to Dr. Bootstaylor by my midwife, I figured he was one of the decent doctors if someone from the natural community highly recommend him. I initially had my biased assumptions such as a typical condescending, by the book male doctor that will give me little to no say so for the most important moment in my life. However Dr. Bootstaylor was actually more invested in natural health than I expected. He listened to my request, gave me options. I felt empowered as a woman to actually have an array of different options during my birth process. I always felt restricted at other hospitals and knowing my current condition (two weeks over due with a ruptured sac) many physicians would've headed right to surgery and gave me a cesarean. My overall birthing process was led by the motto "guided discovery" Dr. Bootstaylor insisted that I embraced this concept. So starting Day one of my transfer, I wanted to try a natural labor inducing enema. Bootstaylor agreed and the next morning my contractions were still not consistent. So the following day I decided to try some pitocin which gave me consistent strong contractions. On the contrary, I was exhausted and unable to push so I suggested the forceps and we gave it a try... yet still no luck (due to my own fear & anxiety). Lastly I insisted a cesarean would be best, Bootstaylor agreed and delivered a healthy baby girl. Pros: Freedom to choose & create the birth I desired. Bootstaylor does not believe in telling patients what to do. Bootstaylor is a doctor that values natural remedies. My decisions were respected. My cesarean scar is completely gone after 3 weeks! He's amazing at surgery AMAZING & elegant ambiance at his office (plush chairs for pregnant mamas) Great customer service I've seen some negative reviews and it could be due to personal preference due to the cons listed below. Cons: Bootstaylor doesn't believe in holding patients by the hand. (If your looking for someone to tell you what to do this isn't the doctor for you) He has a really calm demeanor which come off as nonchalant but his personality is really genuine unlike most in his profession. Overall I believe Dr. Bootstaylor is a amazing doctor and did a wonderful job on my cesarean. As a empowered woman I am grateful that he delivered my baby girl and gave me the reassurance I needed while doing a birth transfer. read more

Dr Bootstaylor (Dr. BT) is a professional perinatologist at See Baby that is a contracted doctor for Intown Midwifery as a delivering doctor. In my labor experience with Dr. BT, not only did he gash my bladder during c-section, but he left incisional holes in my stomach from his botched c-section that was not found until two weeks later! I had to be rushed to hospital for emergency surgery due to a strangulated hernia with a foot and a half of my intestines protruding through the holes (a direct result of his incisional holes) . Presently, I have ongoing persistent pain at the surgery site in my lower stomach. Pain level ranges from 4-8 (on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst) depending on the day. Ongoing visits to the doctor for this pain with no resolution. 1. Loss of work for husband who had to care for me for months. Husband had just started new job and had to leave abruptly to care for me 2. More than fifty percent blood loss in my body during csec surgery and bladder repair. Dr. BT did not formally or properly inform me that I lost more than 50% of blood in my body and was discharged from hospital with no course of action and without "knowing" that I had that much blood loss. 3. I was informed by urologist that he guided Dr. BT via phone and was not actually in operating room to assist or lead inrepairing bladder. Due to Dr's inexperience in delivering babies via c-section and urologist not present, Dr BT repaired the bladder but missed the incisional holes quickly closing me back up because of the rapid blood loss. He did not have the presence of professional support! I went to his office for a followup appointment alerting him that something was very wrong because of the growing pain and the growing bulge in my abdomen. He looked VERY nervous and fearful, but had no resolution for me and my family. 4. Misuse of forceps resulting in possible permanent damage to my baby's right eye. This is VERY stressful and emotional for me DAILY! 5. Wrongfully prescribed 4x(!!!) the maximum allowed dosage of medication. Pharmacist insisted that I could have had liver damage had I followed the orders of the Dr.'s prescriptions In closing I have digital images of my internal trauma. These pictures were taken by the repairing doctor BEFORE he actually repaired the damage! The images clearly show the incisional holes and the intestines protruding through it. This is by far the best place in Atlanta to get an ultrasound---and somehow also the cheapest! I was recommended to them through Margaret of Intown Midwifery and have since met at least a dozen other expecting women who rave about their experiences here. Not only is SeeBaby enjoyable (how many practices can you say that about these days?), but I've checked around and their rates for basic 2D ultrasound as well as other 3D packages are far the best. The uninsured and insured alike pay $60 for the basic fetal ultrasound! Compare that to $250 (insured), $400+ for uninsured patients at most hospitals. I am fortunate enough to be insured, so for a mere $30 co-pay I got the most relaxed, non-rushed ultrasounds in town for all three visits! And because fetal ultrasound is their main thing, they can tailor appointments to your needs, and they really take time with the baby to get the best possible readings. If you bring a flash drive they'll throw the photos on there for you, or they'll e-mail them straight to you before you even leave. I noticed that they always got the US results and measurements back to my providers super quickly, too. SeeBaby practices inside Emory University Hospital in Midtown, but their suite feels like a world of its own. It's less like a clinic and more like a spa. There's cool furniture, mood music, comfortable lighting...they even have a heated rice pad for your neck! I feel relaxed every time I go. And I cannot say enough nice things about the ultrasound specialists there. I also personally appreciate not having to smell gross medicine-disinfectant-clinical smells, walk through people with masks, or sit under institutional fluorescent lighting when I'm just trying to go about having a healthy pregnancy, which is the least medical thing in the world (in my opinion). I've had the pleasure of working with Ms. Monica Taylor, but on my last visit I finally got to meet the head honcho, legendary Dr. Brad Bootstaylor, who every bit lives up to the hype. This is a severely cool man. I love what he is doing with the birthing/maternity communities of Atlanta! Support this practice! Tell your provider you want SeeBaby for your ultrasounds. See Baby has a lovely office with great staff. We've had two regular (2D) ultrasounds there and I was quite impressed with the large screens, the relaxing atmosphere, and the pre-warmed gel. The wait was very short, and the doctor thoroughly reviewed everything with us. The ultrasound tech emailed us the photos before we even made it home from the appointment! My only issue was some discrepancy with scheduling additional appointments. My midwives said I did not need any other ultrasounds beyond the anatomy scan, but the physician's assistant wanted me to come in every 4 weeks just for monitoring. Getting ultrasounds every 4 weeks seems a bit excessive when I'm not at risk for anything and the baby is completely healthy... when I asked the PA if there was a medical reason additional visits were necessary, she just said they wanted to keep an eye on things. Personally, I'm not a fan of medical procedures when there's not a clear reason for them. But all in all, it's a great office with super short wait times and a beautiful atmosphere for a very exciting event - seeing your baby! I also really appreciatedthe fact that they offer $60 out-of-pocket ultrasounds to folks without insurance. While I'm lucky to be insured, I do try to patronize practices that offer the same level of care to ALL people, not just those who can afford top-notch care. read more

I visited here this week for my 20 week anatomy scan. It was a fairly busy day and I arrived 20mins before my appointment. I had to fill out an information sheet which took 5 mins. The receptionist was nice and friendly, especially for how busy she was. The waiting area was modern with cozy chairs, flat screen tv's, relaxing music and a beautiful view of the city from their 11th floor location. My appointment began right at 2pm which was great. My ultrasound tech was very nice and allowed me to bring my hubby & bff in to watch. The room was super nice, cozy table/bed, I believe their were two flatscreens, one to my left and one in front of me that showed the ultrasound as it took place. I was offered a warm towel for my neck to help relax, but greatfully declined, it was a million degrees outside. The tech was very good at getting all the necessary measurements and photos and kept her friendly demeanor while pointing out all of my baby organs and details on what we were seeing. IT'S A GIRL !!! I paid $60 for this scan that last about 15-20mins, which I feel is a fair price for the service and atmosphere. By the time I got home I have received an email from them with 10 photos from the scan !! I highly recommend See Baby for ultrasounds 2,3 & 4D, they have great packages and apparently their in house Dr has been nominated for a few awards in Atlanta. I have been to See Baby twice for ultrasounds and I have been nothing but impressed. From the polite and helpful ladies that answer the phones, to the sleek, modern, and super relaxing atmosphere, See Baby could give other medical practices lessons in how to treat patients. My husband and I came here for a 20 week anatomy where we also found out that we are having a boy! See Baby was so great because they let us bring my mom, his mom, my sister, and my best friend to the gender reveal. They made an already special experience even more special. Also, I cannot say enough about Dr. Brad Bootstaylor. See Baby is his practice. Although I have chosen to have a midwife assisted homebirth, I have still met with Dr. Bootstaylor at my appointments at See Baby. He is a huge advocate of midwives and allowing women the chance to have a normal birth experience with as few medical interventions as possible. It is so great to hear these thoughts coming from Dr. Bootstaylor. He was recently named Top Doctor in Atlanta Magazine, and there is no question that he deserves this title. I have never been around a doctor that has more humility and compassion for women and their pregnancy and birth experiences. read more

We are not fans of medical interventions and did our best to have a natural pregnancy and birth. We decided to have BPP ultrasounds starting at 42 weeks to better monitor the baby and make sure the prolonged pregnancy was ok. We let Ryan, the ultrasound technician, know about our concerns related to the ultrasound technology. She was completely understanding and did the test in under 7 minutes on our first visit. We requested her for our follow-up tests and she always kept the ultrasound time as short as possible. Arlonda and the rest of the front office staff are great and easy to work with. They were very nice about rescheduling appointments as needed and scheduling last minute, same day (same hour even) appointments. We also really enjoyed meeting with Monica. She walked us through all of our test results with visual comparisons to make sure we fully understood how the baby was doing and what to expect. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Bootstaylor. He is absolutely amazing at his profession. He always made us feel very comfortable and worked with us so we could make informed decisions. When my induction lead to an emergency cesarean, he made it to AMC in less than 15 minutes and was able to perform the operation. We cannot figure out how he made it there so quickly and have decided he has a hidden teleporter in his office. After the birth, he spent time with us answering all of our questions and preparing me for recovery. When I got home and realized I was having an unexpected reaction to the pain medication, he was quick to help me find an alternative that worked. We found the entire See Baby team to be professional, non-judgemental and excellent at giving the best care possible. We cannot thank them enough for their support and would recommend them to anyone needing ultrasound support. read more

I am high risk, so I went to SeeBaby a LOT during my pregnancy. I cannot say enough how much I appreciated each of the staff members, and especially Dr. Bootstaylor. I was always treated with respect and professionalism. Dr. Bootstaylor even fit me in last minute when I was struggling with anxiety about some bleeding at 18 weeks. He was always kind and compassionate, assuring me that I wasn't "high risk" but rather just had risk factors that warranted extra monitoring. He did a lot to ease my mind. Starting at 32 weeks, I was there weekly and got to know the staff a bit which is nice. The office is like a spa - sometimes when I'd be on the table, I wanted to fall asleep. I appreciated the quality of the ultrasounds and their attention to detail. The ONLY reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because it is very definitely not a toddler friendly office. I learned from the experience of others and found childcare for my visits, but I've heard the staff can be very strict in their expectations that you keep your kids quiet and well-behaved. While I understand their reasoning (preserving the spa-like atmosphere of the office and also being sensitive to couples who are there for bad news), this is hard especially for a mom who has to come in as frequently as I did. read more

Dr. Bootstaylor and every one of his staff members are amazing. I was originally a patient at Intown Midwifery when I received notification that Dr. B was no longer going to provide back-up to IM. I was 38 weeks pregnant and was not pleased. Part of the reason I was so confident in IM was because of Dr. B. So, I called Dr. B's office manager, Julia, and asked if there was anyway they could see me (as a low-risk pregnancy) because they hadn't yet started their midwifery practice. Of course, they did. I went to 42 weeks. Dr. B always allowed me to be in control of my care never pushing induction and was always so willing to talk to me. Without providing my entire birth experience, which was quite traumatic, I can say that Dr. B was the most amazing Dr. I have ever dealt with. During my labor he sat with me, talked to me, taught my husband tricks and tips to help me labor and never made us feel rushed - even after 36 hours of labor. My baby failed to descend, so we had to attempt a forceps delivery. Dr. B tried twice and then called it quits becuase my baby stayed in a high position. I ended up with a c-section, which Dr. B performed beautifully. Words cannot describe what a wonderful Dr. he is. Even after the delivery, he continued to text me to follow up to see how I was doing. His staff, of course, was always amazing too. They were always so pleasant and helpful - especially the office manager. I can't wait to be a part of SeeBaby Midwifery with my next delivery, which will be a VBAC. There is no practice other than SeeBaby that I would want to help me through that. read more

Hands down the best group of midwives and doctor I've dealt with... ever! They are very knowledgable AND compassionate which isn't the easiest combo to find in medicine! The midwives will sit and answer your questions for as long as you need and Dr. Bootstaylor does the same. They make you feel important rather then just a number. I was a patient of Intown Midwifery, so I went to See Baby for my ultrasounds. I ended up going 4 times during the course of my pregnancy and had great experiences each time. The first time I went, my husband and I met with Dr Bootstaylor and he went over all of the results. The second time was the gender scan and then we met with the PA for results, she was really helpful.I have insurance, so I just paid my co-pay. Being a first time Mom, I wanted to enjoy the full experience - so I went in another time to do the 3D ultrasound, which is self pay. I thought the price was entirely reasonable. And although my little gal wanted to hide her face most of the time, it was a fun experience and we did get a few cute pictures. I was sent one last time by the midwives near the end of my pregnancy because I was measuring large. Dr Bootstaylor met with me again and was very reassuring. Side note: I had complications during my natural labor and my daughter was in distress so Dr Bootstaylor was called to do an emergency c-section. He and his team were wonderful to us. As scary as it was, he made us feel very safe and everything turned out OK. Mom & baby are healthy! read more

My heart is filled with joy! God granted our wish of having VBAC. I went to 3 Obgyn and they all said they rather do a c-section since I had it before and there is high risk associated with VBAC. If I didn't know better maybe I would have agreed but it only made sense to me having a c-section was more riskier. I was 30 weeks pregnant, emotionally exhausted and feeling defeated when I decide to find a doula and during the interview process they all mentioned Seebaby. So I decided to look into Seebaby and Dr. bootsTaylor. I had my first appointment with Ellen at 32 weeks and I was in tears . She listened to me, what I wanted mattered, made me aware of my options and most importantly reassured me it was my decision that mattered and they were there to support me, they welcomed me with open arms. We were starting to believe how we wanted to bring our daughter to this world was impossible but with one visit our faith was restored. I am forever thankful for giving me my confidence back, for letting me heal from my first birth! My labor and delivery was perfect! Our baby girl is perfect. NOT JUST FOR PREGNANT WOMEN! Had to put that in all caps because I almost missed out on great gynecological care because I thought see baby was only for pregnant women. I did some research on LGBT friendly Gynecologists in the Atlanta area (it is the south, ya know) and I came across See Baby. I was pleasantly surprised to find the NP from my previous Gyno that closed down was working here! Chris Turner is awesome. She makes one of the most uncomfortable experiences a pleasant one with great respect, kindness and professionalism. I found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. The only good thing about this place is the ambiance and the front desk staff was friendly. Once I passed the lobby, it went downhill from there. The U/S tech made me feel like she had no clue what she was doing and it took a lot longer than I expected. She ended up having to get someone else to help. I felt like she wasn't any better. Then once I saw the doctor, it was even worst. I really couldn't hear half the stuff he was saying because he was talking to so low. He made an unnecessary comment that I didn't like and don't think he should've said as a doctor. I was so mad; I had to laugh to keep from crying. Then he had the nerve to ask me if I have any questions. I sure do, but not to you! It was a waste of my time. I wish I wouldn't have ever gone and I will never return! I was super excited to start being seen there. Unfortunately from day one there has been huge communication issues. I was self pay and choose to do the payment plan. I paid at the first visit, got seen, no issues until it came to scheduling a ultrasound. I was just scheduled without a call first and then I received 5 calls to confirm. I went to my second appointment, again miscommunication. I paid my second payment and scheduled my next appointment only to get a email the following morning saying that the company was closing down at the end of the month. My husband and myself have called several time, no one ever returns the calls. Three days after the first email we received another email saying that they were staying open. Again I have called several times and no one has returned my call. Bad Business and very unprofessional. read more

Intown Midwifery sends their patients here for ultrasounds, and I had a fine experience with everything involving the ultrasounds. I was told I had gestational diabetes by Intown and had to go to classes at See Baby. I wasn't sure how the ultrasound office had something to do with diabeetus but I went to the "classes." What a waste of eighty bucks! I was forced to go in twice, once for an ultrasound and another time to talk to Monica about how to take care of the GD. This could have happened in one day. I went in and paid my $35 copay and five bucks to park for a 20 minute ultrasound, then went back and dropped another $40 to have Monica (dubbed the nutritionist) read some papers about the food pyramids to me for 20 minutes. Since I'm vegan I asked her questions about the research I already did and she didn't seem to understand what veganism is. She suggested I eat tuna, and when I tried to explain veganism she suggested I eat cottage cheese. I don't think she understood the papers she read and then gave to me either. I ended up getting help from a dietician friend for my fake GD. I thought the "class" would show me how to use the blood testing system, but she just gave me a prescription. Thankfully the pharmacist at Kroger took me in the office and showed me step by step how to test my blood. I had to fax my (always low) blood sugar numbers into them every Tuesday for months and never got feedback from the office that they even received them. According to my midwife at my final visit with her I was supposed to be getting more ultrasounds after the GD one in January but no one told me that until the day before I went into labor in late March. So they ushered me in for the ultrasound the next day, while I was in labor. The doctor wasn't in so Monica went over the results of the ultrasound with us. I was told my baby wasn't very big for someone with GD (because I honestly didn't have it) and she was worried about her weight. She told me to drink Ensure (again, not getting that I'm vegan) and she said she wanted to see me eat a lot of protein over the weekend and come in on Monday. It was Thursday and I was in labor. I said I will have this baby before Monday but she didn't seem phased by my panting and grunting and went ahead and made the appointment for Monday. I had our baby the next day. I have a bunch of other beefs I'm not even going to get into, but I was wildly disappointed with most of my experiences here. I really wanted it to be awesome but it just wasn't. After doing a lot of research my husband (a physician) and I drove three hours each way to Dr Bootstaylor for my vbac and it was so worth it! He is by far the best doctor for vbac. He was super encouraging and supportive throughout my pregnancy and had the most calming presence during my labor. There is no way I could have achieved my unmedicated vbac without him! He is super confident and knowledgeable about birth. When complications arose in my pregnancy he was well informed and gave me all of my options. I felt safe and genuinely cared about throughout my pregnancy and delivery. Would definitely recommend Dr B! read more

Dr. Bootstaylor is awesome! He was my back-up OB since I worked with Brenda Parrish of Traditional Birth Services for a home birth. I loved working with him and his office. The ultrasound techs were all very professional and friendly. I ended up needing stitches after my home birth, and Dr. Bootstaylor had very tender hands that didn't hurt much at all (though recovery afterwards did, but that was to be expected). It's so awesome he's so supportive of home births, all the local midwives, and women's decision to birth. He respects his patients a lot. I highly recommend him. read more

I did not know that there were doctors, OBGYNs specifically, like Dr. Bootstaylor. So when my midwife suggested that I do a consultation with him, I did with reservations. Could not have been happier! He supported me (in addition to my midwife group) during my pregnancy and VBAC/water/home birth of a 10-pound baby girl. He has an amazing bedside manner -- thoughtful, calm and reassuring. I also felt great comfort knowing that IF I did need a C-section, that I would be in good hands with Dr. B. I cannot say enough positive things about Christine Turner and the staff! I come to this office for regular gynecological care specifically to see Chris, I am not pregnant and never will be, she's just THAT great. Chris has gone out of her way for me time and time again, and the genuine compassion and care she shows cannot be compared to any other medical office I have ever been to. She is LGBTQ friendly, which is extremely important to me. They are amazing! read more

If you enjoy waiting for 2 hrs to be seen and not receiving any of the pictures you paid for, then See Baby is for you 100%! We've had the unfortunate experience of using them 2x's now and both times were the same. Check in, wait over an hour, not receiving pictures of our little ones as promised. I had a wonderful prenatal and birth experience with SeeBaby for my second child. Their level of professionalism and caring are superior, and really assisted in making my pregnancy easygoing and pleasant. Even though the pregnancy ended in a somewhat unexpected c-section due to some last minute plans related to Dekalb Medical, Dr. Bootstaylor and the midwives were wonderful. The c- section was easy and quick, and I was up walking around the same night and feeling almost back to normal by day 2. The calming and reassuring personalities of the midwives, nurses, and Dr. Bootstaylor really help people who have any level of anxiety or nervousness around birth and pregnancy feel calm and relaxed. read more

I had to get an ultrasound every month during my pregnancy because if complications and my doctor recommended See Baby. From December 2012 - June 2013 I visited See Baby. The office staff is friendly and professional. The office is beautiful. I never had to wait long to be seen, which is always a plus in a doctors office. The techs I saw were always knowledgeable and professional. They allow you to bring a jump drive to upload your pics during your visit. I loved that! The rooms are small so only one other person can be there with you but that was fine for me. I never got a 3-D ultrasound because my husband and I wasn't interested in that. Overall Dr. Bootstaylor and the See Baby staff are awesome and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

This practice is a money making machine. They will attempt to over-schedule you for more ultrasound appointments than are necessary. Because they are a specialist, it is unlikely that your insurance will cover your $120 out of pocket expense. I found the doctor to be old fashioned in his "medical opinion". At only 11 weeks pregnant, he told me that because the fetus heart rate was 180 bpm, it would be a girl. As far as I know, you can't tell the gender of a baby from a heartbeat, only from an ultrasound, and 11 weeks is too early to see physical evidence of gender. This practice is a glorified spa. Save your money and go to a real medical practice. read more

For my first pregnancy, Intown Midwifery sent me to See Baby for my ultrasounds. I was impressed from start to finish. The offices are beautiful, the front desk staff is friendly and courteous. My ultrasound techs were are all well-trained and friendly, too. The ultrasound rooms are spa-like and much kudos for the warm ultrasound gel. After my ultrasound, I met with Dr. Bootstaylor who instantly put me at ease. He walked me through my ultrasound results, showing everything to me on a large, easy-to-see screen. I came back for a few standard ultrasounds and a genetic test. All came back fine, and we just continued on with Intown Midwifery. My son was born a few months later. However, my second pregnancy took a very different turn and this is when Dr. B truly shined. The process began very similarly to my first pregnancy. Standard ultrasounds and new genetic test at 13 weeks, anatomy scan a few weeks later. All seemed right on track until about 25 weeks when my blood pressure decided to skyrocket. I was hospitalized at AMC and Dr.B was now my main doctor. I was diagnosed with pre-e. I was given a round of magnesium and steroids, just in case I had to be delivered right then. But Dr.B, who is the coolest man under pressure, was patient enough to see what my body could do and how long I could stay pregnant for. Prognosis for a 25-weeker is brutal. To say I was devastated by the turn of events would be a massive understatement. But Dr.B was a steady force, watched my numbers and was hopeful that I could be discharged from the hospital. I knew a full-term pregnancy was no longer a possibility, but I needed to get to at least 28-weeks. The statistics dramatically turn in favor of a healthy outcome. I was home for another two weeks, with weekly ultrasounds. My second visit showed my BP affecting blood flow to the baby, even on meds. So Dr.B thought it best to get back to the hospital. We held on for another full week until my body said it was enough. Dr. B swooped in like a super-hero and the nursing team responded by prepping me for surgery. (Natural-birth advocates, I being one of them, can say what we want about the medical establishment, but when you're having an emergency, you want that strict hospital mind-set in place. It's a life-saver.) I was rushed into surgery, my BP was stabilized enough so that we could wait for my husband to arrive (seriously? such consideration given the circumstances). Once he got there, my son was delivered a few minutes later. He let out a cry and everyone in the room rejoiced. He weighed 2.4 pounds and sounded like a full-termer. He was taken swiftly to the NICU, while Dr. B closed me. That process took twice as along as the delivery. He took great care in his sutures. And now several months later, I have a thin, smooth, barely noticeable line. When the nurse checked my incision the next day, she nodded approvingly, and call Dr.B an artist. Afterward, he came to check in on me before being discharged and I felt that my pregnancy and delivery could not have gone any better. Dr. B not only saved my son's life, but his patience, medical experience and crystal clear judgment has given my son a healthy life. He's now six months adjusted and is CRAWLING! He tries to put everything he can in his mouth and wake us all very early in the morning with litany of babbles. His pediatrician told us that if he didn't know our son was born at 29 weeks, he would never have guessed. (Our course much, much kudos goes to the NICU staff at AMC. Want to see angels on earth? Go there. But that's a whole other post.) So anyway, if you're pregnant, healthy or not this is the place to go for superior medical care. read more

Customer service is unmatched with his friendly staff who always go above and beyond for each and every patient. His new midwifery practice is just as welcoming and reliable. Each midwife never makes you feel rushed and always makes sure you have no questions left unanswered and feel supported when you leave their office. It's definitely a med-spa! Totally unassuming from the outside, but once you walk inside, the office space is beautifully decorated in an ocean-inspired neutral palette. Spa music plays. The chairs you sit in for monitoring are covered in blue ultra-suede and rock you like you're on a sailboat. I may have even drifted off for a second. They also offer prenatal massage and 3D ultrasound packages for $80. If I wasn't already 6 days overdue, I'd jump on that deal. Very modern, progressive medical business model. Love. read more
