OK...so I went to the OB/GYN the other day…read more... Well, maybe not. However, my wife did so this isn't the strangest review...or is it? Anyway, she raved and raved about Dr. Kleiss like I would rave about a pie from Lombardis. Professional, very friendly, personable, comfortable, informative, and all those other things. She did all the woman things perfectly, better than anyone ever in history. Got it? Good. So there you have it. She gets top dog rating and every woman should use Dr. Kleiss from this day forward! Update: I got to meet Dr. Kleiss recently and I have to say she is great. Relaxing and down to earth demeanor which settles you down about big things (like up and coming babies).

I got pregnant…read morethe month after she operated to remove a uterine polyp that was probably preventing pregnancy. And, though I wasn't thrilled to need a C-section, I was thrilled to have Dr. Kleiss doing it - my scar is practically invisible and I had a smooth recovery. But over the 7+ years I have been seeing her, it became clear that this practice probably isn't the best fit for me. Dr. Kleiss is very cool, relaxed, and friendly, and her general MO is to very confidently convey that everything is fine. This probably puts most people at ease, but for me--and I know I have anxiety issues--it does the opposite. I like data, and (what I perceive) as overconfidence makes me nervous, which causes me to ask more questions to verify. Which causes the provider to become irritated with me and probably write "difficult" in my chart a la Seinfeld https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyossoHFDJg. A lot of times, she was right and there was nothing to worry about. But sometimes my concerns were right... she was confident that I didn't have any fertility issues, but when I pushed for testing we found a polyp ... she played down my feeling that the baby was breech, but I was right and we found out too late to turn the baby. Basically, it just became a cycle where I never trusted her assurances and she was automatically skeptical of any concern I raised. (Full disclosure, there was also an incident where I was left in a waiting room alone with no windows for over an hour and got pretty upset - the sad kind, not the angry kind... not real proud of that one, but I was going to be late for something important... after that incident I always brought my computer and expected to be there at least 2.5 hours) At some point, things turned and I just never felt comfortable there anymore. I felt like I had a not-entirely-deserved reputation that I could never overcome. But I can't complain - I have a healthy baby and my torso isn't completely wrecked yet. And now I have switched to an OB practice I feel much more comfortable with (hopefully they don't request my records and suddenly turn cold!)

I was put on bed rest for 3 months and that saved my baby. He was born 4 days after his due date and healthy. I had bad fibroids and cysts. She treated them all with the best advice. 2 years later I was pregnant again and the pregnancy did not go well. She walked me through the decisions and then discovered a nodule on my pitutiary gland which was treated and allowed me to be able to get pregnant again. She helped me with comodin (sp?) and ivf referral for my daughter. My daughter was born healthy too. Both my son who is now 22 and my daughter who is 18 are healthy. During the time after my daughter was born and I did not want to breastfeed her Dr. Mandeville helped me with my options. I learned I had a tumor and needed a biopsy she referred me to a doctor at the hospital who was horrible by the way but she helped me find another doctor. Ultimately I was diagnosed with breast cancer, during treatment and after she guided me through decisions on my cervical and uterine health and when the cancer came back she was the first to find out through the mammogram. Recently I had my annual mammogram and it was abnormal, her staff called me and ordered my follow up immediately (before my oncologist did). I was happy it was a bad scan due to my moving during the exam and not a 3rd time with cancer. Dr. Mandeville takes the time and answers all your questions. I will say I love her staff at Gwinnett office but I would never visit Decatur office ever again. Whew that is a long story.

I depended on Dr. Mandeville for years and trusted her. Then I got an abnormal mammogram and had a…read morefollow-up diagnostic mammogram. Before I could even walk back to the changing room after the test, the technician caught up to me and told me I needed a surgical biopsy for suspicious findings. What? I went from having a speck to surgery in less than a week. I work in public health, so I know the shortcomings of mammography, especially in someone like me with dense breasts. But anyway, no one met with me, I was told my results within earshot of everyone else getting a mammogram, and I got the news in literally less than 3 minutes after my breast was unclamped. What kind of thorough review of my films is that? When I finally got a hold of the nurse navigator that afternoon, she couldn't answer my questions. Then I get a call from Dr Mandeville's office that I'm supposed to schedule with a surgeon they chose for me to have an excisional biopsy. Btw, I had wrist surgery last year and had very bad reaction, including a massive seroma and hematoma. My wrist surgeon advised me to be very cautious about any further surgery, especially within the chest or abdomen. Not that anyone asked, they just sent my info to the surgeon, who is in the same practice. Just sayin. And by the way is no expert in breast biopsies, which in my case would be near the chest wall. Oh, and the surgery would remove half of my breast for testing, which in 80% of cases does not result in a cancer diagnosis. Not that Dr Mandeville or anyone else discussed that with me. I had to read the research. I'm lucky I have the access and time to do so. So back to Dr Mandeville. She never spoke to me about options (and there are options!) but I did get several phone calls from her nurse saying I better do something right away. Which is BS because even if my tiny lesion was problematic, it doesn't turn into full-scale invasive cancer overnight. There's time to weigh your options! I researched and found some practitioners that (1) talked about all the options and (2) listened to me. Oh, and they do hundreds, not several, procedures every year. So Dr Mandeville after more than a decade of our dr-patient relationship couldn't speak to me like a human with a brain but instead had her nurse call me and leave increasingly doomsday messages on my phone. And set me up with a nonexpert. Shame on you. Never going back to you, Dr M. Which I'm sorry for, because I really liked you. Ultimately, like doesn't win out over good care.

Dr. Wiggins is fantastic. The practice is set up so that you actually get quality time with the medical professionals. The staff is also amazing starting with a patient, polite, and helpful front desk. What really shines? The nursing staff. Professional and informed. Engaged and welcoming. Concerned about the quality of care. I questioned the knowledge and standard of care of my former allergy team after 9 months here, I know the care I previously recieved was well below what I should have. I highly recommend Peachtree.

I would avoid this practice at all costs, particularly if you are a patient with autoimmune and…read moremast cell issues. Dr. Hirsch is rather unfriendly and unsympathetic to patients with these kinds of issues. The biggest problem with this practice is that they have several office locations, but only certain providers work in each office. For example, Dr. Wiggins only works in Buckhead. Dr. Hirsch switches from Buckhead to Vinings but on certain days of the week (she's only in Vinings on Tuesdays). I started off seeing Dr. Wiggins in 2018 with major issues, including suspicion of mast cell disease and mixed connective tissue disease. When I had severe flare ups, I was treated by Dr. Hirsch because Dr. Wiggins was out of office. I had another flare up, and because Dr. Wiggins was out of office again, I was treated by Dr. Hirsch the second time. Thus, I have been treated by Dr. Hirsch more than Dr. Wiggins. I have several diseases, including, among others, myasthenia gravis and mast cell disease. I recently started a new medication that caused my mast cell disease to flare up. Because I am unable to drive, and because Dr. Hirsch last saw me this April, I tried to make an appointment to see her per my neurologist recommendation to help manage my mast cell diseases. SHE WOULD NOT SEE ME because it is the OFFICE POLICY to only be treated by the doctor you first saw. She also would NOT REFER ME TO THE DOCTOR SPECIALIST WHO ACTUALLY TREATS MAST CELL DISEASE because, again, it is against office policy to switch providers. In order to be seen at this practice, I would have to drive to Buckhead to see only Dr. Wiggins. I am unable to do that without having someone take me due to driving constraints. This practice clearly does not consider the best interest of the patient. It is ironic because, despite NOT being able to switch providers, once you are prescribed weekly/monthly shots, you are more than welcome to get them at a location convenient to you - of your choice. I hate leaving reviews like this, because I respect that doctors are busy and have their own constraints, but to me - this is a poor excuse not to treat someone who needs help. The medical help received when I saw Dr. Hirsch was fine - this anger is coming from her unwillingness to treat me due to an unreasonable office policy. In my situation, Dr. Wiggins does not treat mast cell disease either - so why send me to a location far from my house to receive the same treatment by a doctor I've seen far less than Dr. Hirsch. Huge disappointment. In my opinion, it was Dr. Hirsch's excuse not to treat a chronically ill patient who needs help.

He also removed an IUD when another Ob-gyn said they couldn't find it. He saved me from having to go to the hospital and have the IUD surgically removed! He is a skilled doctor. I noticed some negative statements from other reviewers, however, my whole overall experience was positive. The front desk was nice, personable and professional. From my weigh in to labs- the whole staff was great! I love the clean and nice lobby and office space . It's great to have an obgyn who is INTOWN and experienced!!!! I highly recommend him!

They turned me away after coming here for 7 years because they were too lazy to check their systems and see my deductible is paid in full and copay maxed out for the year. Then the male black doctor (brown) got loud with me and rude and said I'm a problem if that was the case why did yall wait until I don't have a deductible to say that. I hope they try to charge my insurance because I will be filing a complaint with my insurance and the medical board.

Other providers were just matter of fact about losing the pregnancy and told me what I "had to do" rather than giving me options and letting me make my own decisions. I greatly appreciated the time he took with my family. I saw him again as a backup for my midwife during my subsequent successful pregnancy. I saw him for a confirmation scan and the 20 week anatomy scan. Both times I was given through explanations and had a lovely experience with his bedside manner. We paid up front and the costs were made clear upon making the appointment. The practice was always organized and clean. It's difficult being healthcare provider in a specialty where the stakes are so high. People have big expectations. I have to say my expectations were met and I felt Dr. Bootstaylor provided much more compassion and respect for patients than most providers. I always recommend a midwife first, but otherwise this was the next best option for our family.

Our initial discussion with him revealed his approach to childbirth and his podcast interview helped confirm that it aligned with mine. It's impressive how Dr. B remembers all his patients, even when mom-to-be panics in the middle of the night. Overall, the practice is intimate, well-oiled and extremely personal. It was calming to see the same faces with every visit, especially, Mid-wife Ellen, who just like Dr. B is non-alarmist and compassionate. Delivering at AMC Well Star surpassed our expectations. The facility is staff by extremely professional, caring nurses from delivery and recovery. Very under-rated.

Positives: I really like the fact that they are a gynecologist office - no obstetrics - so they have never had to cancel or reschedule an appointment because another patient went into labor. :-) They also have medically supervised weight loss programs. And the phlebotomist, Lebora or (how ironic, right?) is so warm, sweet, funny and engaging - you will forget that she's taking your life blood away from you. LMBO. Negatives: Parking can be a bit of nightmare because they are on the second floor of a building that houses a Wellstar Urgent care on the first floor. And because of my crazy schedule - I REALLLLLY hate the fact they have a very non-traditional schedule. I've tried updating the hours with Yelp - to no avail.* They never open before 8am - except Thursdays. They close at 1pm on Mondays and Fridays. And if something happens, like Dr. Cook's vacation or a mid-week or non-federal holiday they never update their hours 1) on the voicemail 2) on social media or 3) with the after-hours answering service. They can be a little hard to reach on the phone, but - I either try until I get a live person OR I use the message portal - which I love BTW and they are very responsive to all messages. I left multiple messages requesting my appointment with the doctor. I received a call asking me where I received my procedure and where my results were. Then "I'll give the message to the doctor and you should get a call back. May16th I received a text that offered text message communication and again I reached out. I finally get a telehealth appointment scheduled for May31st. On the day of the appointment I receive a message about the cost of the appointment. On the day of! After 2 months. Nothing was handled professionally.

I was recently called by this coordinator to schedule a procedure and she actually said she would call me back with the out of pocket cost due based on my insurance. She called back and told me I had to pay $1250 my deductible basically and this would be due at the pre op appt. I paid and showed up a week later at the surgery center and the front desk/check in staff took my insurance card and said "uh-oh we don't normally take northside employees. Does the office know you're a northside employee", to which I told her "yes, they have the same insurance card on file". She gave me the run down and apparently this procedure would've costed $350 at a northside facility but because I went where I was sent my the office, it was $1250 and I'll be billed an additional ~$500. Had no idea since the practice is NORTHSIDE Northpoint :( This whole issue with the surgery center not taking Northside insurance was not mentioned to me when the coordinator called to schedule. The front office said she would "pass this on to the office staff" but it def sucked to be surprised with this information in the day of surgery. Nothing against the office staff but clearly someone "dropped the ball" since even the surgery center staff was caught off guard

The front desk staff told me that there is a 15 grace period for all other times except for the 4:15pm. All I'm asking for is courtesy and communication. If I wasn't making it to my appointment it would be responisble for me to call and cancel. However the same isn't required vice versa. I almost had a titty attck when they said the doctor left. How? If she still wold have been sitting in the office with me at 4:20PM!!! Waste of gas, waste of time. Customer Service is important - ask Keith Lee
