Another one of my favorite pole studio! Sedusa is unique from other studios. No pole sharing, slinky, practice in heels, & female only. I am so happy to hear that they'll still be running! There is going to be a change in ownership. This is where you channel your inner sensual goddess & are free to be slinky. I love that all the classes are taken in heels, however, you do not have to wear them if learning tricks - your choice. You get your individual pole which is a major plus. No sharing so you have the pole all to yourself & you don't have to time your breaks or attempts before switching off. Two different sized floor to ceiling poles & two rooms to take classes. They have a variety of amazing classes and they incorporate new classes and work shops monthly. Thank you to Mayari, Erica, & Aspara Sin for being amazing instructors ! I love Mayari's stiletto flow and Erica's L2 classes. Stiletto flow is all about pole flow, edge work and heel techniques. You get a combo to dance with and are encouraged to freestyle at the end. Erica is amazing - she breaks it down to the basics and helps you get to your pole potential. She gives different methods, modifications, and entries for individuals & ensures safety going up and down the pole. Aspara Sin's inverted you helps you with invert conditioning and getting to your invert goals. I also taken L2 classes where she subbed. They are such great instructors and help you reach your goals wherever your progress is at. All the instructors are very knowledgeable and encouraging. They really take the time to warm up our bodies to ensure we are safe to go on the pole. I tried Xinnia's booty bouncing basics and it was so fun. I wish I was able to take more. The studio is dark and you're free to dress in any attire that you're comfortable in. There's an app where you sign up for classes and buy credits. Price is similar to other studios however, you have your own pole so definitely worth it. One thing I wish can be improved is the communications with email, sometimes will get slow or no responses. But otherwise love love love Sedusa ! read more

I have been taking pole classes once a week at Sedusa since 2014. I was scared and self-conscious, and did not even know how to walk in heels, let alone 6inch high ones. I was already pretty good at movement then being a Qigong teacher, and acupuncturist, but I also wanted to explore my feminine divine, and flow even better in dynamic fluid movement. After I saw the movie "Rock of Ages", my feed keep showing Sedusa Studio in Campbell, and the Groupon ad brought me in. Carol was the owner, and her patience and sultry voice helped relax my fears and discomfort, so yes by the end of the Intro to Pole class, I felt more competent in this new movement form and sensual, accepting of and excited to explore this more feminine movement style. The main studio is large and inviting with low lighting, feels safe for women to explore being sensual, with other like minded women in the community. The strength of this studio is that it is women focused, make it a supportive environment and community. Fast forward 11 years, where I've taken weekly conditioning "Slinking Strength" pole classes, and other group pole dance classes. Have performed as a group with other students, in the internal dance showcases. While the studio has changed hands to Felicia, who kept it going through COVID, and some teacher changes over the years, the essential vibe of the studio is the same and these days unique in the pole dance community with other studios opening in the area. There are some really good teachers (Erica, Mz. K, Sade, Laarni, etc) at Sedusa that keep the place running, who helped further my self-healing and poling journey so that I was able to to dance my first solo for the showcase last Fall. Finally also competed in the Pole Sport Organization (PSO) Golden Gate Competition March 2025, and got a Silver Medal representing the studio. Thank you, Sedusa and the fabulous staff and community for making personal dance dreams come true. Highly recommend to get stronger and sexier with better body positive image. If you've any personal doubts, just start now and you won't regret it! read more

Sedusa Studio - Silver! Good job Sedusa, & Thank you so much. - Dance Studios Near Me - Campbell, California

fun studio! this one is a lil different than the other pole studios near by as this is a more sensual based vibe and most of their classes require pole heels ive only been doing pole for a year so im still feeling like bambi in the heels but i am always feeling more confident and more comfortable in my own skin coming out of each class what i dont like: their makeup class policy if you do join one of their series/programs. i had gotten sick with covid and had to miss my last class of the series. i couldnt make it up with another class because i was the series had already ended. they did offer a complimentary intro to pole class but i still wouldve liked something equivalent to the series i was enrolled in read more

I've been taking pole classes at Sedusa for many years and I keep coming back, it's like a second home to me beyond just the classes. The community, the energy, and the support of it all is absolutely amazing. Everyone pole studio in the Bay Area have their own style and focus. Sedusa is all about the old school exotic vibe, providing a safe space to discover our our sensual feminine and powerful energy. I've taken classes with many instructors at Sedusa, they've all been a wonderful experience! The instructors I've probably taken the most classes with is Felicia and Miquela. Felicia (previous owner before she moved) had such a slinky style that focused on micro movement and lines that bring a strong and beautiful vibe. Miquela's class is always so fun, I probably laugh out loud at LEAST once per class. In Miquela's class, we also get to focus on making cool shapes, flowing beautifully to different styles of music (she welcome song request which makes the class even more fun for the students!). She even taught me how to do counts since I don't have a dance background and it was something I always wanted to figure out. I've done some private sessions with her where she helped me create unique choreo for the song and vision I have in mind. Sedusa is an amazing place: the teachers, the space, the other students, and the mission all helped me feel empowered through the art of pole over the years. I don't think I can ever stop coming here. This studio truly feel like a home to my heart! read more

I've been regularly attending pole classes at Sedusa for a year and a half now. The studio space, class offerings, and instructors just keep getting better! No matter your experience level or dance style, there's something at Sedusa for you. I have recently decided to level up and start taking more L2 classes, so today I took a L2 Stiletto Flow class with Miquela. Miquela is great at making sure we are fully warmed up before class - she's also a yoga instructor so she knows really unique and effective stretches. During class, Miquela gave us the freedom to personalize her routine to cater to our own dance styles. She encouraged us to add our own flair by giving us suggestions for alternative transitions and moves. This was one of my favorite classes I've ever taken at Sedusa. Thanks Miquela and the entire Sedusa team! read more

Highly recommend Sedusa for providing a safe space to explore sensuality and movement!! There's a wide variety of classes to choose from - I mostly frequent Miquela and Mayari's classes for Stiletto Flow and Wave Tech, and I've enjoyed Erica's Slink Strength and April's Club Style in the past. Miquela is a phenomenal instructor, who brings fun and playfulness to slinky heels flow. She's very inclusive with her progressions/regressions and creates a safe environment to ask questions (even what seem like silly ones!). I loooove her emphasis on clean lines and flow, helping us feel sexy and confident in the mirror and in our recordings. Her professionalism is never compromised by her friendliness, and it's clear that she cares deeply about her student's comfort. Mayari is also a fantastic instructor, who will help build a solid foundation for your form and techniques. She thoroughly prepares her students for more advanced tricks, and she can break down the simplest moves to basic conditioning. I appreciate her expertise when it comes to waves and angles, as well as adjustments for those less flexible. Her suggestions are always thoughtful and concise, and she creates an encouraging space for students to cheer each other on! Although I haven't had the pleasure of taking classes from the other instructors, the quality of classes and continued investment in their students are two (of many) reasons why I continue at Sedusa! read more

What a bummer! I was trying to find a new pole studio to frequent and this one was totally a let down for me. I have been doing pole for about two years at this point. At my old studio I was working through level two. I know each studio has their own way of defining each level and based off of Sedusa's website information, I might land in their level one or level two. My plan was to attend their introduction class (Mon Aug 4) and get feedback from the instructor on where I might need to be placed for our future classes, but I never got the opportunity nor felt welcome to do so. I arrived to class 10 minutes early where I was greeted with a very loud and crowded room of people who are also taking this in class, most of which seem to know each other. It was incredibly overwhelming and felt super chaotic!I was very confused and began to think that I accidentally booked a private group class, but it was indeed the intro class. I wasn't greeted by the instructor and they only communicated with me when they asked me what my name was and even then, I wasn't asked any information regarding my interest in pole or even my past experiences with it, which has been my experience at most pole Studios I've visited. The entire class instruction was VERY VERY beginner level, but I did my best to get a good workout. Based on their level one information on the website, I was expecting there to be more variety and options for different skill levels.I appreciated the instructor's teaching style, but there was only one time the instructor walked even remotely near my side of the room or gave me any kind of feedback. I also know that a lot of instructors provide differentiation and other options for people when they have achieved a trick or skill, but we were not given that so I had to get creative on my own. I understand that the class was filled with people who have never taken this class before, but if they looked in my corner of the room at least once, they might have seen that I was looking for a challenge. EVERY pole studio I have gone to has given their students tricks to work on that match their skill , and a simple private conversation with just us two could have been a great opportunity to differentiate for me personally so I got something out of the class. To add insult to injury, the last 10 minutes of class basically descended into everyone except me busting out into a full-blown photo shoot with each other on the poles. I came for a workout, and it was just very odd for me to experience this. All that might have been forgiven, but then at the end of the class, I overheard the instructor telling a fellow participant that it would be weird if somebody knew how to do everything in the class that they taught us. The instructor said this pretty clearly in my vicinity, which I found to be very unprofessional and possibly a slight jab at me. All I wanted was to find a new pole studio to call home and it's sad that the only likely repeat customer in that class felt totally invisible the entire time -- from start to finish! read more

On an impulse, I dropped into a Club Style Pole class with April at Sedusa. For context, I have taken heels classes with her before that were focused on choreography but it was my first time in a tricks class with her. I love that April is all about prioritizing safety but also very encouraging. She's great at breaking down movements bit by bit and going around class to make sure that everyone is getting the hang of it. The skripper climb (or bicycle climb as other classmates have told me) is one of my favorite things to do. Thank you for an amazing first time, April! :) read more

Extremely unprofessional, especially the instructor Miquela. I'd paid for a sexy pole class series, and during one of the classes it had rained the PREVIOUS DAY, and caused a leak onto the gym floor, so not all poles were available even though we had a full class of students. 1) there was no communication prior to the class that there were not enough poles for everyone, and they made no effort to reschedule some people to another session 2) I was told to either share a pole with the instructor or with another student, which I was uncomfortable because that was not the full class experience I'm paying for and I'd only be getting half the practice opportunity (the class itself, excluding warm up time was only 30 min, which was already not a lot of time) 3) when I expressed that the students should've been notified of the shortage of poles ahead of time so we can reschedule instead of sharing poles, I was told my feedback was unacceptable I have since had much better experiences at other studios (such as Inspiration studio), where they guarantee each person has their own pole for sexy pole classes. P.S this incident aside, Miquela was not professional throughout the classes I've done with her. Multiple occasions she's started class late, or ended early because she forgot the ending time, and taught a lot of the same moves that we've already learned with her before. After 1 series (4 weeks) i didn't feel like I learned much new things and it was a waste of time read more

I've been training at Sedusa Studios for about 2 years now. I absolutely love the environment, the teachers, the dancing! It's such a fun and welcoming space to explore the world of pole arts. Big thanks to this community for welcoming me to pole dancing. :) Shout-outs especially to my main instructor, Miquela, who I've worked with consistently during that time. The individual attention and care she gives to each student's progress in the room is fantastic, and I've grown so much in strength and athleticism thanks to her consistent and patient coaching. I think pole is so impressive to teach, and she does it so well! Love dancing in her classes every week!! read more

I've always had a great experience at Sedusa! The instructors are super professional while keeping things lighthearted and welcoming. My first few classes were with Mz K, I had some with Mayari, and I took numerous series workshops with Miquela. They are all awesome, passionate, super helpful, and foster a safe environment! Miquela especially is amazing! I enjoy taking series classes with her as she breaks down the movements in simple steps. And I appreciate that she goes over what not to do to avoid any potential injuries. She even explains the progression and purpose of the warm ups so that we best prepare for the progression of the moves throughout her classes. And she's patient and observant, always asking if there are any questions and going over any moves that needs more clarification. I notice Miquela says hi and welcomes everyone when checking in students for the session. And I've been late to some classes before (because life happens) and she is super professional while I sneak in as she is running the warmup. And regardless if I've been going 4 times a week or every four months, she always welcomes me and other students back. Another thing is that Miquela encourages the class to find our own style while we learn. It's inspiring as she provides different ideas to personalize our styles (like a more bold or softer movement or channeling the water or fire element) as well as showcasing her own. Since going to these series classes, I've been able to connect with my body more and just have more self confidence overall! Over the last couple of years of me coming here, I've noticed that Sedusa offers a variety of classes-- from yoga, to floor work, to pole, to chair and burlesque, and things in between. There's also occasional showcases where people can perform their routines and cheer each other on! Looking forward to more classes! Ps: I love the new app to book for classes read more

And the constantly seeking to try something new saga continues! Lately I've been feeling like I really want to make the most out of life and try new things. I saw a Groupon for an "intro to sexy pole" class and thought why the heck not? Right? I had a couple of conflicting scheduling issues but Felicia the owner worked with me to get me into a class and I thought that was really great customer care and service. I took a class on a Friday night and what I liked was 5 other girls in the class and it was all their first time as well. I took a intro to dance class years before but this was my first intro to pole. As I walked in I was greeted by the instructor who happened to be the owner. She check you in and gives you some stilettos that you will be wearing. We started class 5 mins after to give other some time with the end of the day traffic and began the class. What I really liked about this class was the intro stretches and the conversation That the instructor begins with. So she talks about that one class won't make you an expert but to feel comfortable and how to do different motions. After the intro conversation she had with the group we did stretches and from stretch as we moved onto actual moves. I thought the class was a great combination of introduction and what to expect when taking a variety of these classes as well as a nice way to introduce us to the pool and get an idea of what we will be experiencing physically. I didn't expect to have such a great work out but it really was it takes a lot of upper body strength as well as abs and stomach muscles to get some of the movements down. I really enjoyed the experience and it definitely satisfied my craving to try something new! The deal is still on on Groupon so if you are in the mood to try something now and dance the night away this would be the perfect class for you! read more

I love this studio! I've taken classes with Cynthia, Felicia, and Katie S. They all have different teaching styles, which has been really helpful since I'm a noobie to Pole. I love them all!! Cynthia is amazing at explaining the breakdown of each move, so you'll learn super fast, while feeling solid every step of the way. Felicia teaches you how to move like water and develop muscles you never knew you had. Katie teaches you how to make all the moves slow and sexyyyy. Pole has been life changing for me, and I hope it will be life changing for you, too. =) read more

I took intro to pole dancing today and let me say that I had a blast because the instructor was fun and welcoming (sorry, I forgot her name because I was busy staring at her curves). I am attracted to men, I assure you but this class will have you appreciate your body and learn to be comfortable w/ your body. I have been battling weight issues and my appearance forever but today after learning the basic moves, the twirling on the pole, the crawling on the floor, the posture, moving of the hips, and especially in a very seductive setting (dim lights and w/ porn-like music), I felt very sexy indeed; for that hour, I was oblivious to my obsession w/ losing weight. - no males or other guests allowed. - they will lend you a pair of stilettos (intro class). - you will need to sign some sort of waiver (didn't read it). - small class which means the attention is focused (on you). - pole related classes - wear shorts, ladies! I wore short shorts. - no jewelry, bracelets, and lotion (for the pole). - it'd be fun to have a friend or a group of friends. I want to take lap dancing classes next. I noticed a blowjob workshop (haha). I had a very awesome experience. read more

shoutout to Miquela!!! Her L1 classes raised me into the world of pole with confidence! Every time i leave sedusa, im full of dance inspo and have learned something new i can use for future performances. Every studio has its specialty and to me, sedusa is the studio for performers. They teach not only dance movements but also how to create a character through dance. A quick note about warm-ups and poles: pole has high risk of injury and one thing i love about sedusa is they are a safety first studio!! Which means that yes warm-up will take a bit of class. However i actually love the warm ups as they warm up both the mind and body and i use a lot of the techniques taught for my own personal practice. Sedusa also makes an effort to let every dancer have their own pole to practice on (at most studios its a given that you need to share). All in all, give Sedusa a try the community here is like no other i have found! read more

I love how they break down the moves and prioritize safety by reminding dancers to: breathe, pull shoulders back and down, and clean their pole, etc. The staff is very encouraging and fun! read more

I was stuck between giving 2 stars or 3 stars when writing this review. I went to this studio for about 5 months. I really enjoyed the empowerment and fun approach to exercise. In the first two months, I thought I'd never go to another studio because I loved Sedusa so much. However, over time Sedusa became a huge hassle. The series classes are more expensive than other studios in the area for shorter classes. The website and booking process is extremely difficult to navigate. The website is very difficult to read due to various fonts and color contrasts. When booking series classes, the process changed over time. When I first started, I booked directly through the website, which was really difficult and it would take me 2-3 attempts to get a class actually booked because links would lead to nothing or confirmations wouldn't pop up. Then, they switched to mindbody or whatever the current booking system is, which you can get to through the Sedusa website. However, I did not find that system to be easy to navigate either because once I booked a series, I'd receive an email confirmation, then the series would disappear from my mindbody account. The booking system is so confusing that it literally caused me to stop going. Additionally, there isn't a wide variety of times for classes. I wake up at 4 am for work, so going to a 7 pm class is not feasible. I'm only on level 1 and there just weren't enough times offered for level 1 classes. The only level 1 instructor I enjoyed was Sade. She prioritizes safety and confidence. She broke things down step by step while also telling the class what not to do in order to prevent any injuries. She also was funny and made the class feel light and happy rather than strict and intense (like other instructors were). I tried 3 other instructors and had various issues. One was condescending and rude when giving instructions, one was would not break things down so you pretty much just had to watch the entirety of the move and try to replicate it, and another didn't even have us properly warm up or practice things on both sides. Sade is the only instructor I felt like was actually invested in teacher her students. If it weren't for Sade, I'd have given 2 stars. I began at another studio in the area that offers double the amount of classes per month for the same price that are 30 minutes longer and I will not be going back to Sedusa. read more

I've been taking classes here for close to 2 years now and I've loved every second of it! The studio is so warm and inviting, the instructors are patient and incredibly knowledgeable, and all of the students I've met there have been so encouraging and supportive. I've mainly taken classes with Miquela and she is AMAZING!! I came in as an absolute beginner and I've made so much progress with her as my instructor these past 2 years. She's super engaging and creates such a fun atmosphere for class. She does a great job blending challenging tricks with choreography to create stunning routines. Couldn't recommend her more! I've also been taking classes with Mayari and Erica, and they've both pushed me to challenge myself and do tricks that I never thought I'd be able to do. They've helped me build my confidence and been so encouraging whenever I drop in to one of their classes! I love Sedusa, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would!! read more

Great selection of shoes and clothing available too. Clean studio and safe. I can't wait to get back to dancing read more

Fabulous! I felt so sexy! It's kind of sketchy driving up at night but put it into your GPS, go in the door that says main entrance, and enjoy! Krista led a fabulous class where we all felt sexy and learned pole dancing is tough! I've always wanted to try it out but couldn't find anyone who would go with me. I'm so glad I did! Krista was super friendly. All the women there were friendly, and now I can knock it off my bucket list! I'm even thinking of coming back for another class! Don't miss out! read more

My girlfriend got some sort of Groupon here and convinced me that it would be fun and not a hard core workout. I came prepared for hard core and glad I did. My fat bùtt just doesn't move the way it used to. We had a great time but I declined to sign up for anything regular. I figure that if I really need to hang from poles I can go use the monkey bars down at the local school. read more

This review is based on the Intro to Pole/Sensual Dance class. My girls and I purchased the Living Social/Groupon deals - $10. We reserved our spots online very easily. On the day of our class we received an email to postpone our 1pm class to 2:30pm as the original instructor was out sick with the flu - notification was sent out in a timely manner. We also received calls if we didn't respond to the email, which was much appreciated. When we arrived we signed liability waivers and they lent us stilettos for the class. Our instructor was Heather. She was really cute and friendly and really made us feel comfortable with ourselves. I was really nervous about not being able to loosen up. Dancing sexily in front of your girlfriends and strangers is not an easy feat! We started off with some warm-ups and tips to keep in mind all throughout the class. We then learned a spin and some sexy moves. ;) The class itself felt pretty short and a little rushed, but we all had a lot of fun and are definitely considering taking more classes. read more

I started coming here March 2018 through the intro to sexy pole coupon and I loved it since! I took classes on/off but I try to squeeze in drop-ins when I can nowadays. Booked a private class/event for my sister's bachy party. It was soooo much fun. The instructor was fun and it wasn't cheesy at all. I've been to some pole dancing classes where its super cheesy, but the ambiance here is on point!!! The lighting, mirrors and poles were all great!!! The instructor was very nice and informative.. and SUPER patient with us since we have been drinking champagne. The only down side is that we were told to come at 6:30 to fill out paper work and set up for our party, but when we all got there at 6:30, the studio was pitch black. The instructor finally showed up close to 7pm when the event was suppose to start. Minus one star for that. But over all, great place. If I lived in the south bay, I would totally come back for other classes for sure. Maybe I'll try coming one day on the weekend. read more

Sedusa Studio - Shoes included! - Dance Studios Near Me - Campbell, California

I really liked the studio at Sedusa Studio cause it looked like a nightclub! The lighting & the cage definitely made it most memorable of my experience there. I had bought a LivingSocial for this place earlier this year. Since the expiration date was approaching super soon, I ended up choosing Video Vixen class. I had arrived late due to traffic, but they still let people in. So whenever I went into the class, they were still doing the warmup. Lights were dimmed. During the class, they teach you some moves which you can use on the dancefloor at a club..which wasn't new to me at all. So I just felt like I didn't really learn anything new at this place. I wished I had chosen a pole dancing class which is what my LivingSocial was intended for, but because of the classes being already full & timing was-- it just didn't work out that way. I do like how there is a lobby area & then the studio being separate cause I had my little sis with me. So she got to chill in the lobby area on the sofa while I do the class. They do require a credit card online whenever you register for class. I had read up on reviews on here about them charging ppl even though they had bought a LivingSocial/Groupon. So far I've been checking my statements & I haven't seen a charge on my credit card from Sedusa so maybe it just happens occasionally to some ppl? This place is located amongst some warehouse buildings and they share a parking lot area with a few other places. But you can always parking on the streets which was pretty easy. read more

I went here for about a year (2016-2017) before I moved to Southern California. I did not know ANYTHING about pole, but I've always wanted to try it. I didn't have any upper body strength nor core when I first started. But with anything, practice and time leads to improvement. I didn't know which class to choose so I emailed Carol and she was so happy to help me out! My first series was Sexy Pole with Carol (choreograph seductive pole dancing) and I became better after every session. All the bruises are worth it! The sit was the hardest thing ever, but now, I feel like a pro. I was so afraid to go upside down too, but Carol made me feel really safe as she goes around spotting everyone. I began to take Pole Fit with Felicia (pole conditioning moves and tricks) because I really wanted to build my core. I took both series at the same time so I was coming there twice a week, which was great for me because I was progressing quicker. When you sign up online, you will see "8/9" or numbers like that. That tells you how full the class is. So there are 8 people who signed up out of the 9 capacity, indicating this class is almost full. I love that they do this, so everyone gets their own pole. All the studios I've been to in SoCal make you share a pole because of overbooking. This is a big deal to me. Walking in 6-7in heels is a bit scary at first, but trust me, you get used to it! I love that they require heels here. I've been to other studios and it feels really weird to be barefoot. You don't feel as sexy nor empowering. It really makes a big difference. I now own about 7 pairs What I love about pole studios, especially Sedusa, is that the community is super supportive. Everyone helps each other out and gives tips on how you can ace the move down. No one makes fun of you, or makes you feel embarrassed/stupid. Whether you're thick or thin, curves or none, old or young, it doesn't matter! They support body positivity and do not discriminate against anyone. I was 18 when I started, the youngest in my class. No one looked down upon me because I was young, nor did they to anyone else. I feel that the instructors at Sedusa really help with your confidence and self-esteem. I honestly feel so sexy when I'm dancing now, and it's all because of this studio. When I was moving, Felicia just took over the studio from Carol. I don't know if Carol still teaches, but I love both of these instructors. They actually know HOW to teach. Sedusa also have special workshops from time to time. And last summer, I took apart in their Pole Expo where my intermediate sexy pole class performed as a team. Their emails are jammed packed with information, so make sure you subscribe. All in all, I really miss this studio. I highly recommend it! You won't regret it. Next thing you know, pole is life. read more

I started out with the intro to burlesque class..it was the second week of a two week series, so it was packed full of learning! And fun! My real interest though was pole dancing, it seemed great for building upper arm strength and more unique. I signed up for one class thinking I'd just 'try something different'. Going in? I felt a little out of place. How could I keep up with all these girls who'd taken the class before, and I was a newbie...and you want ME to be SENSUAL? hm....I don't think so... That feeling was short-lived, and the next two days I was dreaming about pole-class, and six months later I'm still attending weekly! I've taken Pole Fit and several series of Sexy Pole. I know people have their ideas about the stereotype of pole dancing, but Carol's focus on sensuality is a practice in mindfulness. Honestly, after a long week and a busy workday, coming in and being instructed simply to focus on the physical sensations under your own fingertips is calming and grounding, and who can't benefit from that? She's also great about continuing to tailor instruction to students' individual needs, when there are ladies at various skill levels, so even after six months...I'm still learning, improving, and having fun...I plan to continue coming for a long time! More recently I got some ladies together for a pole party. All the girls had fun, although having more experience in the class I personally was a little disappointed. I didn't figure I'd learn anything new, but expected we'd cover maybe one or two more twirls. And I wonder, if the margarita machine in the lobby isn't for the parties, then when? Carol mentioned the AC will be serviced soon, and I'm hoping that affects the practice rooms upstairs too. Overall, a great place I'm glad to have discovered. My posture has improved, my arms are much stronger! In time I may explore some of their other class offerings as well. Still curious about the aerial hammock! read more

"One, two, three, they gonna run back to me 'Cause I'm the best baby that they never gotta keep One, two, three, they gonna run back to me They always wanna come, but they never wanna leave" My bff purchased a Groupon deal for the two of us because she thought it would be a very exotic, unique birthday present for me to do an Intro to Pole Dancing class. Shiyetttttt, she was right! We came here last Saturday (10/03) - it's located in the industrial-ish area where there's random business buildings around.. my first thoughts? "where the f--k are we?" but since there was the "Sedusa Studios" sign outside, I was okay. When we came in which was 10 minutes before the 1:00 pm class. the class before ours was still going on so we just chilled around the front area, checked out some items that Sedusa sells. So, Carol was our instructor - she introduced herself, talked about how long she's been doing the pole dancing classes and what classes they offer in the studio. After that, we did our warm ups and taught us simple, sensual moves around the pole and towards the end of the class we all learned how to do the "twirl". Pretty fun. Now if you want to learn how to do upside down then you should sign up for the sexy pole dance series. I'm debating to do it but hearing that they have Burlesque class being offered is very enticing. Overall, the experience was great. Everyone in class were very welcoming and friendly. This is an environment for women who does not want to be judged based on appearance and skill - ya'll should try it! read more

I have been going to Sedusa Studios for over a year now. I live over an hour away but I still make the drive once a week to come here! It's worth the drive! I have found life time friendships here and it is honestly like a big happy family. You feel so welcomed and it is the best full body work out you will get in your life! I love how challenging it is and all the instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable. The owner Carol is very sweet and outgoing! I take her Class every week because I learn something new every time and feel myself getting stronger. She is very encouraging and will help you perfect your moves. Taking her Class can be intimidating at first because she is that good, but I have noticed she makes sure to help everyone at their own pace and skill level. Whether you are a beginner or advanced you will learn so much in the same class together. I love this boy free zone and anyone can do it! You will find yourself in a class with ages that range from early 20s to late 40s, any age and all shapes and sizes. I noticed taking classes here also helps build your confidence and I definitely recommend anyone who needs a more challenging and exciting workout plan to at least check out sedusa studios and give it a shot! read more

This is the place I found "me" again. While going through a break-up from a 7 year relationship, Sedusa became a safe place where I could let my hair down and reconnect with my own femininity. There can be a stigma around sensual dance so in case you are dealing with judgements from a partner, family member, or just within yourself, I say: * First off, the women who dance here come from all walks of life- teachers, mothers, engineers, executives, young (18+), old, every race, thin, athletic, not thin, not athletic. It is an incredible workout that helps you get in shape without feeling like the monotony of the gym and is super fun. * While women definitely learn tools and techniques to become better dancers, sexier dancers, sensual dancers, or whatever the goal may be- this is a place that can be about more than being a sex kitten if that's what you're needing. You are guided and learn at your own pace, unlike being 10 steps behind in a gym zumba class, which is difficult to find once you're not a child anymore- a place that will teach you step by step choreography. * Also, as you get more comfortable you begin to dance in less clothing (at your choosing of course) and the teachers will guide you through body empowering thoughts that have lead me to be more accepting and loving toward my body (opposite of what the media teaches us). The old me was constantly seeking male attention for validation of my femininity. Through learning to validate myself at Sedusa, I no longer seek/need that kind of attention from men. Ironically, that inner strength/independence has come to be very alluring to men haha * There is a warm vibe when you get to know the teachers, owner Carol, and other regulars. Sometimes when you're new it can be intimidating because a lot of people know each other and are now great friends, but everyone is welcome to the friendship that exists here! Many of my dearest friends in my life now are women I met at Sedusa. Growing up I always felt more accepted by men than women. Today I find my life filled with so many powerful, strong, insightful, beautiful, honest, enlightened women that my heart overflows. I know that this is all very long and vulnerable to share, but I am so grateful for what Sedusa has given me and the ways it has changed my life and if it can help someone else in the same way- please come dance with us! read more

I took a Groupon's intro class here. Great class and sensual moves but not a professional/customer service atmosphere. Girls only place, no men allowed was a plus. Yet, the session empowers you to feel sexy and sensual. I actually can do a small routine after taking just one class. ************Wear stretchy workout/yoga wear to class. Very important info overlooked on their website or confirmation emails. Sedusa needs to work on improving: 1. Warmly welcoming every one who walks in. They fail to Greet new clients and have very little/no interaction with them before, during or after class. 2. They should not combine introductory class with a regular class of students who are at an advanced level. 3. Instructor introduction when class starts should be a requirement at Sedusa. read more

I absolutely love taking pole classes here. Whether you are a stripper, entering mid-life crisis, or wanting to try new things, you'll find common ground with all the women here. Carol is a great instructor and she makes you feel welcomed each time you come to the classes. From sensual dance, twirling, climbing, and inverts, you really get to learn it all in the series you choose. The studio is always clean and the lights are dim providing the studio a sexy, sultry feel. My Sexy Pole series just ended and I can't wait to register for the next one. Mind you, the prices vary in the series you choose, but either way, I'm sure all the other classes are fun! read more

Well, that was interesting. I bought a Groupon because pole dancing sounded like a fun combination of yoga and monkey bars, and my friend (who has been here before) persuaded me that it was more of a core workout than an exotic dance thing. In retrospect, I ignored a lot of signs otherwise. The studio pictures (yes, that would be a cage in the corner), the six inch acrylic heels...the name of the studio. Uh...wow. Anyway, Sedusa is definitely an exotic dance studio, and the only pole class the Groupon offer covers is Intro Sexy Pole, emphasis on the sexy. I have years of experience with ballet and yoga, but I'm not particularly invested in being female or sexy and felt like a fish out of water. You want me to do what with my hips? Touch myself where? Imagine my partner watching (and NOT laughing his head off)? Conclusion: I have no inner sex kitten and no desire to cultivate one. The twirling was fun, though. The intro class was not much of a workout, though I can see how more advanced classes could be killer on the arms. The four stars is for Carol's kindness and patience, even though I wasn't the right audience. If you come to Sedusa wanting to learn some sexy moves and you have more estrogen than I do (not difficult), I think you'll like this place. The studio is tucked away in industrial Campbell by a Pure Water place; it's a little hard to see, so slow down on Dell. If you're using a Groupon, you need to check the calendar on the Sedusa webpage, click on the class you're interested in, make an account but leave out credit card info, and email Carol with the 8 digit Groupon code. It's not the smoothest process, but it does work out eventually. As for me...I'm slinking back to yoga. read more

When I first parked in front of Sedusa two years ago, my first thought was, "Where the heck am I?" And when I stepped into the studio, my first thought was, "Okay, what did I just get myself into??" If you're visiting for the first time and are new to pole, it could feel a little intimidating at first until you find yourself welcomed by their super friendly instructors and students. It literally feels like an escape from all the noise of the "real world" into a very safe and private space where you're immediately accepted by the kindest, most non-judgmental community of women, just as you are. All the women at the studio come from all different types of backgrounds, ethnicities, body types, and ages, which is really the beauty of this studio. Everyone is encouraged to awaken the femininity that so many of us have repressed, and what you'll see once you slip on your 7" stilettos will surprise and transform you (in a phenomenal, super sexy way!) So many women--including myself--have gained a whole new level of confidence after taking classes here that goes beyond the studio and into your daily life. You begin to embrace and live out your femininity, slow down, explore your fantasies, feel outside of the box, strengthen your body, mind, and creativity, and just know that you have a little secret that you're keeping in your back pocket :) I highly recommend Sedusa not only as a sexy form of exercise and expression, but as one of the most fun, sexy, and supportive communities I've ever been a part of. read more

This is a review for the class i have taken last year with Carol. It is no mean to judge the artistry or skill sets of other that work here. I give the place 1 star for its discrete and cleanliness another star for the clothes and shoes that are being sold there. The prices are reasonable but are NOT cheap- $50 per pair of shoes and $25 for a pair of leg stocking (much needed because studio in the morning is COLD and Dark) The last star is for being the punctual; class start exactly when it should be. The reason Carol- the owner did not deserve 5 stars is because of the rip-off policies she set. I called ahead and asked if i can reserve a spot for 3 drop-ins knowing that i could not be there for the whole session. She told me to go ahead and pay for the registration and the class in full ($200/5 sessions) to reserve a spot. She then explained that i can switch to another class with similar level as a stand by as long as i am willing to take my chances. NONE OF THIS EVER HAPPEN. IN CONCLUSION, she ripped me off 2 sessions ($120 total i guess). Her Reason- check the studios policies! I agreed that the policies were there before i register...Woe is Me for trusting her WORDS! Lession learnt. PS (check out YouTube- Beginner levels being taught here are the same as the free ones on YouTube) read more

Oh my goodness, where do I start? I started at Sedusa about 8 months ago, and I can honestly say that Carol and the instructors and the incredible community of women here have changed my life. I was super-intimidated by the idea of pole dance--I'm not "sexy" or "flexy," and I definitely had some preconceived notions about the kind of body you need to pole dance. And then I took Sexy Pole, and everything changed. Honestly, it doesn't matter what you look like, how much you weigh, what you're background is, where you work, or whether you have chronic pain or other limitations (like me)...Sedusa is a safe space where you can explore your own sensuality and strength while surrounded by a supportive community of women who just want to see you succeed. It was kind of a game-changer for me--I've left my gym membership, and now I just go to Sedusa a couple times a week (I pretty much live there now...), yet I'm stronger and more flexible than I've ever been in my life AND I'm more confident in my body than ever before. Pretty incredible, if you ask me. As for the studio logistics and "stuff you need to know:" The studio is really big, but you definitely should sign up for classes online beforehand if you want to get a pole. This place is popular, and for a good reason! If you're taking a pole class, be prepared to show some skin, because you need it if you're going to hold onto the pole. If you're taking a regular dance class you may want leggings or leg warmers (and you can borrow knee pads if there's going to be floor work). You can borrow stilettos for your first class, but if you're coming back (and why wouldn't you?) you'll need your own. I have to dance barefoot because of a chronic injury, so it's possible to modify if you have limitations, but it's way more fun to wear the shoes. Classes are an hour, and they include a period of warm up. If you want to learn how to go upside down, sign up for the Sexy Pole series; if you want to work on strength and tricks try Pole Fit. If you're not sure about pole, you can always take an intro class or get started with something like Sensual Dance. You can get a membership and unlimited non-pole dance classes, like Pussycat and Video Vixen. You can also do aerial silks (which I haven't gotten up the courage to try yet....!) So, the TL;DR version of this review: Sedusa is awesome, and you should take a class (or twenty). read more

LOVE IT! I got a living social for an intro class and loved it! Since then I've been coming 1-3 times a week. And boy it is a work out!! My body was sore and aching the next day, which in my book is good! The teachers are patient, knowledgeable, fun, and super sweet. As for some of the reviews that say the teacher told her what she was doing was ugly, get over it! I'd love having a teacher who tells me what I'm doing wrong rather then trying to sweet talk me and tell me what a great job I'm doing when I'm really not. Especially when majority of the time women come to these classes and then try the moves at home with their partner, husband, or in my case fiance. When is comes to Carol, she's great! I send emails back and forth all the time when I have a conflict and she responds in a timely manner. I also had a few extra charges on my credit card (my own stupidity) and of course it took a few days to refund. As all terminal machines do!! Nothing can happen at the snap of a finger. If someone complains so much about $20 then their financial probably isn't the best and then they shouldn't have been their in the first place. As a business owner myself I know how annoying it is to deal with groupon/living social people. 85% of the time they are nothing but deal seekers and too cheap to pay full price for anything, yet they request that you make so many exceptions for you.... I can honestly say these classes are WORTH EVERY PENNY! It's fun, friendly, and a great workout! I would definitely recommend trying out a class!! read more

I took this class with a few girls as part of my birthday and they were offering a Living Social Deal. The room is dimly lit but it's not like you are walking around blindly. I was still self conscious even though it is true that almost all girls in that class have no experience. I tried not to laugh during the class just because this is so out of the ordinary for me but the other classmates were sure taking it seriously. TIMING I had Heather as an instructor and the class starts on time. Heather was the only one working there on a Friday at 6pm so she starts the class even though some are entering late. If you are late, you just have to join the group and catch up. For a good 20 minutes, you just do stretches and get warmed up. The next 20-25 minutes or so you just learn one twirl which is pretty hard to grasp. There is not that much pole action as you would expect from an introductory class but it does suffice. You put on their heels for the last 10-15 minutes and try twirling and doing other sensual movements with that haha. She also taught us how to work a wall since more likely than not, you will be closer to a wall than a pole. ATTIRE Most girls wear tights or yoga pants. They recommend that you where shorts where your ankles are revealed because you need your ankles to touch the pole and have that friction so you wont fly all around. I wore yoga capris so most of my leg was covered but my ankle was actually touching the pole. When you twirl a lot (or at least try to), it actually starts to burn and your ankle gets sore. If I were to retake the class, I would wear yoga tights that are pant length so that it wouldnt hurt so much. The top you can wear whatever. You cannot wear jewelry and it doesnt really matter what shoes you wear to the class. Do not bring your own heels because you must wear their talll stilettos **TIPS** 1) Bring your physical copy of LIVING SOCIAL printout and hand it to the instructor at the beginning of the class. The reservation from the actual Sedusa Studios website will not be enough and they do not even ask for it. If you do not bring your living social printout, I think you will be charged full price for the class. 2) Do not bring your own heels. You have to wear their shoes. 3) Have fun with it! If you are like me, you will be uncomfortable at first but it is definitely an experience to enjoy! read more
