One of the best restaurants in the city. This restaurant constantly changes it up and they knock it out of the park every time. We are so lucky to have their team here in OKC.

Sedalia's is one of those places that reminds you why great restaurants matter. The focus on pristine seafood is real, not marketing fluff. We started with a dozen oysters and they were excellent. Briny, cold, clean, and clearly handled with care. The baked oysters took things in a richer direction and still held onto that sense of restraint that defines the kitchen. The dayboat scallops were a standout. Perfectly cooked, balanced, and confident. No excess, just technique and great product. The tricolore salad and sourdough were simple but sharp, doing exactly what they should between heavier plates. Where Sedalia's really impressed me, in my opinion, was range. Beef heart was bold and deeply satisfying without being intimidating. The agnolotti was comforting and elegant at the same time. The octopus was tender, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully composed. Even the baked chicken thighs, a dish that can feel like an afterthought elsewhere, were excellent and intentional. Both desserts were worth ordering. Not overly sweet, not gimmicky, and a perfect way to land the meal. The wine program deserves its own mention. The selection leans smart, especially with sparkling wines and whites, which pair beautifully with the menu. It's curated by someone who clearly drinks wine, not just sells it. One huge bonus for families: the covered outdoor seating. It's relaxed, comfortable, and right next to a small playset with a swing. That makes Sedalia's one of the rare high-quality dining spots where parents can actually enjoy the meal while kids stay happily occupied. Bottom line: Sedalia's is thoughtful, confident, and genuinely excellent. It feels grown-up without being precious and welcoming without watering anything down. Oklahoma City is better for having it.

Sedalia's is a true gem in OKC that you should not miss! If you love seafood, cozy intimate restaurants, and a rotating weekly menu so there is always something new to try - this is the place for you! Their creativity when it comes to seafood knows no bounds! They source seafood from all over the US and globe, which figuratively gives you an opportunity to travel somewhere else for your dinner that night. They transport you to the ocean and captivate you with their flavor bombs - not to mention the wine list does not miss! Reservations are recommended, dress is very casual, and look out for food popups here sometimes also! These folks were James Beard finalists this year for good reason! So happy to have them in OKC!

We came here during our anniversary as we had been wanting to try some good quality seafood dishes and heard Sedalia's was the place to check out! The venue is small, comfortable, almost nostalgic. You know you're here for good food when you sit down. We had plans to hop around to other places that night so we kept it light. We both got some white wine and tried the fresh oysters, grilled oysters, beef heart, and a type of crudo that they had on the menu at the time. Everything was so light, refreshing, and flavorful. Don't knock the beef heart until you try it!! And the service was so attentive because the space is smaller. They took the time to explain everything to us and made great recommendations. We definitely want to come here again to try out other items since the menu changes!

Found a old photograph and wanted to post it. This place slaps so hard. I can hear a James beard award incoming.

This is THE seafood spot in OKC. Where you take your food critic friends and regular ole' oyster shuckers alike. Sedalia's offers some of the freshest and unique seafood offerings in this city. I have been going here since early 2023. The best thing about Sedalia's? They're always switching it up. Frustrating to some that their menu changes almost weekly and is not available online, but that's the experience. You don't go here for your standard menu favorites, but instead because you're excited to see what the guys in the kitchen are whipping up tonight. I also want to point out, this truly highlights the quality of their ingredients. The menu is a living document because they're constantly rotating in the freshest and seasonal selections. If you're really looking for a true gastronomical experience in OKC, go to Sedalia's, sit behind the counter, and enjoy a front seat to the watching it all unfold. In short, freshest seafood, creative culinary experiences, but authentic and sincere enough to feel like your neighborhood seafood shack. Love Sedalia's 2023 to infinity.

This was probably one of my favorite dishes. Whole pomfret!

If I was tasked with 3 words to describe Sedalia's, it would be Addictive, Fresh, and Orgasmic. Freshest seafood! I will go toe to toe with someone about this land locked state having some of the best seafood I have tasted, because of them! The consistently changing menu, had me returning almost weekly. Follow them on Instagram, they usually post what is being served that week/day. I was addicted to trying new items! The raw bar has me in a chokehold and those oysters with buerre blanc and roe...my taste buds had to have had an orgasm. I always go by myself and mostly sit at the bar where I get to observe all the cooking, dishwashing, etc and I just love it, they pay so much attention to details. I have yet to meet a chef, sous chef, server that was not attentive and kind. Also, the bathroom is clean and the drinks are strong. I hope they stay forever.

When you want a lil staycation this holiday then you need to head to Sedalia's This local seafood spot gives "family-owned, restaurant-by-the-sea, #IYKYK" vibes and I love it! The menu's are handwritten and I couldn't recommend what to order as it changes seasonally I will say, they have some of the best oysters I've ever had - plump, slightly briny, and housemade mignonette *chefs kiss* SAVE this post if you're looking for a quality seafood experience in OKC

We chose Sedalia's to celebrate our anniversary and we are so pleased that we did! My husband and I enjoy fresh oysters, but since moving to OKC from Charleston (SC), we've struggled to find a seafood place that meets our expectations. Well, Sedalia's absolutely exceeded those expectations! We loved the entire concept. Everything from the ambiance to the food felt refined yet casual, intimate yet friendly, elevated but approachable. There's definitely something for everyone. The most wonderful thing though was the fact that we were able to share this date with our little children. The outdoor patio has a small play area and our son had so much fun entertaining himself while we enjoyed our meal! To find a family friendly place serving this type of experience makes Sedalia's a very rare gem. We will be back!

Sedalia's blew us out of the water! This is a fantastic date night spot in OKC, tucked away in an unexpected spot. Though on the pricier side, it was well worth it for the delicious food and intimate experience. We sat inside the kitchen area and got to watch the team cook our meals. Their mocktail options were very good and fresh tasting. For dinner, we shared: the daily oysters, aquachile, crispy fried Hake, and the scallops - we were impressed by the quality of the seafood and everything seemed to be cooked to perfection. Sedalia has us up at night thinking about her!!

Sedalia's is a great spot with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. The parking lot is small, so finding a spot can be a little tricky, but it's worth the effort. The patio is also on the smaller side, but it's a nice option for outdoor seating when the weather is good. The food itself was excellent--everything was fresh and well-prepared. However, one puzzling aspect was that the fish entrée didn't come with any sides, which felt a little incomplete. It would have been nice to have something to round out the dish. Overall, Sedalia's is a solid choice for a good meal, with a few quirks that are worth noting. I'd definitely come back, but I'd love to see a bit more thought put into the plating of certain dishes! Oh and service was impeccable! My cup was never empty and plates were picked up promptly when done. Also the wait staff was very knowledgeable about the menu which is a plus!

We love Sedalia's!!! We've dined here several times and the only thing stopping us from coming ALL the time is the cost, haha! We can't stop from ordering so many dishes to try each time! It's truly fine dining in a hole in the wall type of atmosphere, but still with great service! I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Dishes I recommend: always get whatever bread they have on the menu!! In the past it's been focciaca but this time, it was switched to milk buns with cod butter ($13). Still absolutely delicious! They are very generous with the cod butter so we had to order another set of rolls to soak it all up ($10 - quite expensive for 2!) Next were the razor clams- first time I've had them and so good! We also got scallops from the raw bar and WOW they were the best raw scallops I have ever tasted! Each bite was bursting with flavor! I wish there was less cream because it masked some of the flavor. We also got the gnocchi with crab and I loved all the fresh crab bites and mushrooms! We got the grilled oysters which were tasty- yet again a little heavy on the cream. The only dish that was a disappointment was the duck breast. I wish I had gone with the black cod instead! The duck tasted very gamey (I'm a Peking duck kind of gal) - so my husband ate all of it. It was not worth the $56! We also had drinks which were great! Overall, we will be coming back time and time again to try another seasonal menu because they truly have the best seafood! Though I will stick to ordering seafood next time. It is truly a perfect date night spot!

I finally made my way here tonight before a work get together and initially I enjoyed the space and atmosphere. It is very cozy and intimate, and there are not many bars like it in OKC. However, when it came to the bartenders (two from my interaction) and cocktails -- my experience was less than cozy. Long story short, I asked for an espresso martini, a basic drink I know. And I was told as such by both bartenders working, one of which called me 'boring'. They wanted me to try a drink off their menu, and I respect the pride and effort this business put into crafting unique, holiday cocktails. However, none of them spoke to me tonight, and I wanted a run of the mill espresso martini. One bartender asked if I would be willing to try one of their drinks similar to an espresso martini, to which I agreed, however I still did not enjoy and requested a regular (boring and basic) espresso martini. They said they typically avoid making these popular drinks, but made an exception for me. Which is really unfortunate, because it was one of the best espresso martinis I've had in the city. Both bartenders later apologized for their comments, but I'm unsure if they were genuine or trying to save face. All in all, if you're willing to explore untraditional cocktails with a cozy vibe, you should try this place. If you have a simple pallet, that doesn't need to be wowed, it's questionable if you should visit. If this review doesn't get me banned, I may give it another try. Happy drinking!

Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.

To share we got the crunchy rice tuna and the blossom roll with a mix of the fish options (like a rainbow roll). The crunchy rice tuna has such a nice combination of textures with a little crunch from the rice and creaminess from the avocado and fish. The roll was delicious. Fresh fish, the rice in the roll was just as it should be-not too mushy (a problem I find with a lot of sushi places I've tried in Oklahoma) or too firm. For myself I got the sashimi tasting which was an absolutely delicious assortment of seafood. All of the pieces were well seasoned and tasted fresh. My husband got the fried chicken and sukiyaki. He was very pleased with both. As a bonus I got a cheesecake because we were celebrating my birthday and they gave us each a shot. I appreciate that they gave me a non-alcoholic shot since I don't drink alcohol. Overall the food was fantastic and the service was great but it comes with a corresponding price tag. Was it worth it? One of our friends ordered the sushi set as his entree, which comes with 5 pieces of nigiri and a sushi roll. He only got the nigiri (salmon, regular tuna, mackerel, and 2 tamago nigiri). When we brought it to one of the servers attention, she told us it was an either/or option. After talking with other friends, they told us they received both, and the nigiri was higher quality, like toro. Three of our friends ordered the pork katsu. One of the katsus was brought out early and the other two took some time. After the other two katsus came out, it was noticeable that the first one was probably refried, which made us think it was old and they didn't want to waste it. We also learned that our other friends said that when they went, the server told them that if there was anything they liked, they could ask for more to be brought to the table. Our server did not tell us this. And the sad part is that they actually took some dishes away from the buffet and didn't refill it, which was the salmon sashimi. Overall, I feel like the experience was disappointing and the advertising was misleading. There wasn't much fresh fish available, as one might think. Sounds like service isn't equal and great across the board. Some friends enjoyed the weekend lunch buffet, some other friends had the same experience we did.
