Absolutely amazing experience. Music and vibes were uplifting and relaxed. Service was superb as well as the drinks. They have their own infused tonic water which made for wonderful drinks. The food was absolutely unbelievable. I loved everything and can't wait to go back. The oysters were by far the star of the show for me!

We finally got to try Sedalia's, and there's a reason they keep showing up on every list of "best restaurants" or James Beard nominations and semi finalists! We dined here on a weekday evening and sat outside in their tent that was complete with a heater and an occasional appearance of the neighborhood cat. The exterior is so cute with pretty lights, and it felt super romantic. I can't remember exactly what all the dishes were when we were here, but we tried 1/2 dozen oysters in addition to 3 other dishes, a tuna and pear crudo, pasta with clams?, and a crab risotto. Everything was absolutely divine!! The oysters were perfectly complemented by a nice tangy mignonette with lemon and hot sauce, and the tuna and pear crudo-like dish we had was probably my favorite of the evening. We enjoyed the pasta dish, and then the crab risotto just completely wow'd us! We're quite the seafood diners, and the seafood at Sedalia's was unmatched. Our server was also excellent, and we had a wonderful time here. My only complaint was that I did realize I was still a bit peckish after getting home from dinner, so I would have appreciated maybe slightly larger portions. Maybe we could have ordered more too but menu items do add up quick. Regardless, the quality of food, the service, and the dining experience was superb!! They also change the menu quite regularly, so it's hard to keep up but love the variety of dishes that they make available to their diners!

One of the best restaurants in the city. This restaurant constantly changes it up and they knock it out of the park every time. We are so lucky to have their team here in OKC.

From local food critic Jared Gleaton Eats full critique Atmosphere and Hospitality: The atmosphere at Sedalia's feels less like a polished coastal seafood house and more like the hidden gem tucked behind a bustling boardwalk fishing restaurant--the kind locals quietly point you toward. We were greeted by Silvana, who warmly led us to our table while Becky guided the service throughout the evening. Plates were seamlessly swapped, water glasses never sat empty, and Becky demonstrated an impressive command of the menu and preparations. Throughout the meal, Zack and members of the kitchen team delivered several dishes themselves, describing each course in detail and offering a small but genuine slice of coastal hospitality. Food: Baked oyster, kent blanc, smoked trout roe, chive breadcrumbs ($35 1/2 Dozen) The dinner opens with a borderline transcendent bite of baked oyster, beautifully balanced and cooked to perfection, singing across the palate. A rich beurre blanc pairs seamlessly with the briny oyster while bursts of smoked trout roe punctuate each bite. The breadcrumbs on the back end provide just enough contrast in texture to round out an immaculate first course. Grilled focaccia for the table, salt cod butter, Szechuan oil, lime, chive, pecorino, balsamic ($15) The grilled focaccia is thick, fluffy, and fantastic. Notes of rich, airy bread give way to salty, buttery layers from the cod butter before finishing with subtle hints of char and acidity from the accompaniments. Barramundi tartare, kumquat, masa nachos, serrano & ancho chilies, spinach ($17) An excellent preparation, the tartare rests atop a thick masa nacho. The barramundi is soft yet slightly firm, its delicate flavor profile lifted by bright notes of kumquat and a subtle heat creeping through the back end from the serrano. Beef tongue anticuchos & la huancaína ($20) The tongue is beautifully prepared--tender with just enough structure. The anticuchos seasoning and huancaína sauce add a nutty, earthy depth that bursts across the palate with each bite. Duck confit pecorino crumble, pappardelle, alubia blanca beans, pecorino ($26) An absolutely beautiful layered dish. The rich duck confit is soft and rich with strong initial notes of pecorino giving way to middle notes of duck and end notes of tomato. Though presented in a tomato based pasta the addition of alubia blanca beans creates a creamy texture that surprises the palate, transforming what appears to be a brothy preparation into something far richer and more complex. Crispy fried hake, mojo rojo, aioli, potato ($23) A thoughtful take on fish and chips. The hake is fried perfectly, with an excellent fish-to-batter ratio. The aioli provides a creamy counterpoint while the mojo rojo adds depth and warmth. Grilled tuna collar with beurre blanc sauce (Special) This special was absolutely stunning and one of the finest bites of 2026. The rich, fatty tuna cheek is tempered beautifully by the creamy, tangy beurre blanc and fragrant tarragon. Each element complements the other, creating a layered, indulgent bite that borders on perfection. Potatoes a la huancaína, ají amarillo, sorghum, olive ($14) This course pushes firmly into transcendent territory. The soft layers of potato are draped in an ethereal ají amarillo sauce that delivers gentle heat while coating the palate in luxurious flavor. Each bite teases you into the next. Honey semifreddo, pomegranate molasses, meringue, citrus ($14) A triumphant end to the evening. The honey semifreddo melts effortlessly on the palate, cleansing and refreshing before giving way to the deeper sweetness of pomegranate molasses and delicate notes of meringue and citrus. A beautifully balanced and borderline transcendent finale.

Sedalia's is one of those places that reminds you why great restaurants matter. The focus on pristine seafood is real, not marketing fluff. We started with a dozen oysters and they were excellent. Briny, cold, clean, and clearly handled with care. The baked oysters took things in a richer direction and still held onto that sense of restraint that defines the kitchen. The dayboat scallops were a standout. Perfectly cooked, balanced, and confident. No excess, just technique and great product. The tricolore salad and sourdough were simple but sharp, doing exactly what they should between heavier plates. Where Sedalia's really impressed me, in my opinion, was range. Beef heart was bold and deeply satisfying without being intimidating. The agnolotti was comforting and elegant at the same time. The octopus was tender, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully composed. Even the baked chicken thighs, a dish that can feel like an afterthought elsewhere, were excellent and intentional. Both desserts were worth ordering. Not overly sweet, not gimmicky, and a perfect way to land the meal. The wine program deserves its own mention. The selection leans smart, especially with sparkling wines and whites, which pair beautifully with the menu. It's curated by someone who clearly drinks wine, not just sells it. One huge bonus for families: the covered outdoor seating. It's relaxed, comfortable, and right next to a small playset with a swing. That makes Sedalia's one of the rare high-quality dining spots where parents can actually enjoy the meal while kids stay happily occupied. Bottom line: Sedalia's is thoughtful, confident, and genuinely excellent. It feels grown-up without being precious and welcoming without watering anything down. Oklahoma City is better for having it.

Summer squash salad and grilled focaccia

The restaurant itself is very intimate. But the vibes were giving a small coastal restaurant. It was very chill. The service was great. They explained the menu to us since it was our first time there. We went with the pre-fixie to try everything on the menu since they change their menu every 6 weeks. From start to finish. Each dish was absolutely immaculate. They carefully thought out every dish that they developed. The oysters, both fresh and baked were delicious. I was absolutely impressed with their appetizers. They had a pickled green tomato that went with the carpaccio. I need the recipe because I was absolutely blown away. This is an amazing restuarant and you can tell they truly care about what they bring out to their customers. I hope to visit again!!

Sedalia's is a true gem in OKC that you should not miss! If you love seafood, cozy intimate restaurants, and a rotating weekly menu so there is always something new to try - this is the place for you! Their creativity when it comes to seafood knows no bounds! They source seafood from all over the US and globe, which figuratively gives you an opportunity to travel somewhere else for your dinner that night. They transport you to the ocean and captivate you with their flavor bombs - not to mention the wine list does not miss! Reservations are recommended, dress is very casual, and look out for food popups here sometimes also! These folks were James Beard finalists this year for good reason! So happy to have them in OKC!

We came here during our anniversary as we had been wanting to try some good quality seafood dishes and heard Sedalia's was the place to check out! The venue is small, comfortable, almost nostalgic. You know you're here for good food when you sit down. We had plans to hop around to other places that night so we kept it light. We both got some white wine and tried the fresh oysters, grilled oysters, beef heart, and a type of crudo that they had on the menu at the time. Everything was so light, refreshing, and flavorful. Don't knock the beef heart until you try it!! And the service was so attentive because the space is smaller. They took the time to explain everything to us and made great recommendations. We definitely want to come here again to try out other items since the menu changes!

Found a old photograph and wanted to post it. This place slaps so hard. I can hear a James beard award incoming.

This is THE seafood spot in OKC. Where you take your food critic friends and regular ole' oyster shuckers alike. Sedalia's offers some of the freshest and unique seafood offerings in this city. I have been going here since early 2023. The best thing about Sedalia's? They're always switching it up. Frustrating to some that their menu changes almost weekly and is not available online, but that's the experience. You don't go here for your standard menu favorites, but instead because you're excited to see what the guys in the kitchen are whipping up tonight. I also want to point out, this truly highlights the quality of their ingredients. The menu is a living document because they're constantly rotating in the freshest and seasonal selections. If you're really looking for a true gastronomical experience in OKC, go to Sedalia's, sit behind the counter, and enjoy a front seat to the watching it all unfold. In short, freshest seafood, creative culinary experiences, but authentic and sincere enough to feel like your neighborhood seafood shack. Love Sedalia's 2023 to infinity.

This was probably one of my favorite dishes. Whole pomfret!

If I was tasked with 3 words to describe Sedalia's, it would be Addictive, Fresh, and Orgasmic. Freshest seafood! I will go toe to toe with someone about this land locked state having some of the best seafood I have tasted, because of them! The consistently changing menu, had me returning almost weekly. Follow them on Instagram, they usually post what is being served that week/day. I was addicted to trying new items! The raw bar has me in a chokehold and those oysters with buerre blanc and roe...my taste buds had to have had an orgasm. I always go by myself and mostly sit at the bar where I get to observe all the cooking, dishwashing, etc and I just love it, they pay so much attention to details. I have yet to meet a chef, sous chef, server that was not attentive and kind. Also, the bathroom is clean and the drinks are strong. I hope they stay forever.

When you want a lil staycation this holiday then you need to head to Sedalia's This local seafood spot gives "family-owned, restaurant-by-the-sea, #IYKYK" vibes and I love it! The menu's are handwritten and I couldn't recommend what to order as it changes seasonally I will say, they have some of the best oysters I've ever had - plump, slightly briny, and housemade mignonette *chefs kiss* SAVE this post if you're looking for a quality seafood experience in OKC

Sedalia's blew us out of the water! This is a fantastic date night spot in OKC, tucked away in an unexpected spot. Though on the pricier side, it was well worth it for the delicious food and intimate experience. We sat inside the kitchen area and got to watch the team cook our meals. Their mocktail options were very good and fresh tasting. For dinner, we shared: the daily oysters, aquachile, crispy fried Hake, and the scallops - we were impressed by the quality of the seafood and everything seemed to be cooked to perfection. Sedalia has us up at night thinking about her!!

Excellent service and food was very good. Not as spicy as some Thai restaurants but the flavors were on point.

The fresh seafood is the best in Oklahoma. It reminds of a gulf coast eatery in size, service, and authenticity.

Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.
