My girlfriend and I were looking for a storage facility with affordable prices. When she called this place, she spoke with a woman named Giovanna who was so helpful and nice when she spoke with her on the phone. Asked all the questions we needed answered, made sure we had to correct unit. We ended up coming in the same day to put a deposit down and we were very appreciative of her great customer service over the phone. When we got here, she showed us the facility and our storage unit but was just as helpful in person. We appreciated her and she was definately a huge part as to why we chose this place. I give it a minus -5 stars .These people are judgemental and very invasive. They lack professionalism and patience. They have no compassion or care for for the customer are greedy and rude.They don't follow their own written policies claiming they are a privately self owned business and they can do what they want.I was with them for 4 months my mother's card was being auto payed monthly on time so one day I show up to a locked out code and storage but was told it was due to late payment I had just seen the man the day before. And he didn't tell me anything so I called my mom and she said her card had been stolen so a lot of the payments were frozen the storage not only charged me for every month I had paid before but since they where getting the card as invalid now they also charged late fees for each month which is bogus cuz at the time they were benefiting from the money they where auto paying themselves and spending it rwgardless if currently they were bouncing i could have ggitten an immediate notice of the problem and late payment or issues so o cpuld have payed them off my whole life was in that storage from qhen i was born untill now mu namas things u have that just passed away important papers such as marriage certificate tac papers personal certifications ect pictures all lost let me tell u I struggled and tried to beg them to take 3 payments to pay off their ridiculous fees and pay them the worst was when they said i owed 680$ dollars and two days layter. U show up with exactly that and they're like sorry u came when the laps of that pay period ended so now they added a whole new month and late fees ect after I. Struggled to get that money was moving around couch surfing with no clothes for over a month cuz all my life was in storage just so they can play with my emotions the next 2 days were sad they where the last day to pay or get auctioned I couldn't come up with the few morehyndred to pay ..and they didn't ever give me at least a day to get important papers or items that I could have sold to pay off theirffees n some I had thousands of dollars worth of purses n items that haunt me and make me cry ..it changed my life forever all I see is their careless cocky attitude fake grinning faces about that they can do it how they want to cuz they ate privately owned .karma will take care of them if you value your items or have kids and pets don't come here with them they frown upon that .if u need help don't count on them to help or show you where any .dollys ate if you pay late u dont get any days to access your items they pick n choose wh9 they work with and not once did i give them attitude or problems ..Snobbs read more

This place is a scam!! They are accusing a friend of mine of dumping couches and threatening to charge them $100.00. The scam is that they say they have proof on video but that they are not showing them the video!! This place is playing judge and juror. Not good bussiness what so ever. I called to vouch that I helped pack and that we did not pack any couches. I asked for the manager and she put me on hold to "go get them" to only find out that same person came back on the phone saying she was the manager. I regret ever doing service with the Chula vista location! The staff was extremely rude and un-helpful, Making this the worst storage experience. I had rented out the storage because I was in the process of moving I received a decent rat for the time that I would need the unit. I had set to move out July 11th 2014 and my monthly payment was pro-rated for moving early. The apartment that I was moving to allowed me to move in a day early for a small fee, So I had decide to move in the 10th of July 2014. So on July 10th around 6:20pm I had arrived at the Chula vista security storage location to move my things into my apartment. I had paid to move early, I also had paid moves to come and help me with this move on the 10th of July 2014. Once I arrived to my storage unit I had noticed that my door and lock had been changed. I did not receive a single call, e-mail, or letter notifying me that there would be changes to the storage doors and locks. So I was very frustrated due to the fact that I had paid money to move in a day early into my apartment but was not able to even open my own storage unit to retrieve my own belongings! I also didn't understand why I was not told of this change especially when someone that worked there called my phone the day before July 9th 2014 asking me if I was still moving on the 11th of July 2014 yet did not inform me that my door and lock was changed I thought that was extremely inconsiderate! Finally the afternoon of the 11th of July I had received another call from them asking if I was moving out! Of course moving out I wanted to move out a day before but was locked out my own unit! that I had paid for! So I had explained to the woman who called me my frustrations and the money that I wasted to move in a day early instead of receiving a sincere apology she then again asked me "ARE YOU STILL MOVING OUT"! Finally I arrived at the Chula vista location with my movers and trucks ready to move out of the storage and into my apartment. Once I arrived I put in my gate code and it tells me my code was suspended so then I became even more upset having 6 cars behind me down hill and my car at the top once again unable to enter! I got out of my car went into the office and spoke to the girl at the desk I told her I had a few cars down the hill behind me and, asked her if she could open the gate because my code was not working. she then said "hold on let me check on why you cant enter." she then told me I did not pay my bill and I explained to her that I paid a pro-rated amount due to the fact I was moving out on the 11th not staying for a full month. I asked her again if she could just open the gate so I could move my car off the hill and allow the cars behind me to do the same. She was extremely rude telling me that the reason I didn't receive the letter in the mail about the changing of doors and locks was my fault and I should've checked my mail! then with a smirk on her face she continued to waste my time rather then opening the gate and allowing me to come back and sort everything out. the smirking as if she was enjoying the fact I was upset and frustrated was unacceptable, she was not sympathetic about the miscommunication or my frustrations. Another person whose car was down the hill from mines and put their code in the gate for me so I went to my car moved my car to my storage and walked back to the office. The manager was there when I arrived however he was much help either. I explained to him that I paid to have a storage unit that I could access within the appropriate hours of operation and was NOT able to do so due the miscommunication. I don't understand how they managed to call my cell phone for a bill that I had already paid and continuously contact me about moving out on the 11th of July but NOT once mentioned to me that my lock had been changed! I would like a full refund due to the fact that I wasted a lot of money in moving but was not able to even get my things to move! I will never use this storage again and I will never refer anyone to this place even though a week before all of this I mad very nice review of this company, then all of this happens!I WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more
