Jim gives a brief guesstimate of what he thinks may be the problem. He's very up front by saying it could be more or less but he won't do anything without calling me with the diagnosis and reviewing the details of what he will fix. I dropped my laptop off on Thursday afternoon and it was ready the very next day. I have been working with Jim since 2012. I was away from the area last year and I took my machine to Geek Squad. I regret the whole experience. They had my laptop for 2 weeks, told me it would be about $90 and ended up over$300. They gave me a big folder with paper explaining what they fixed but I couldn't understand it. That's what I appreciate with Jim. Next time I won't sweetest the 40 min drive to Beaverton. I'll just confidently see J and knew my computer will be fine sheet his attention. Highly recommend!

I stopped by in person three times since then for an update. I was informed by the Radiant Tech--both over the phone and in person--that they haven't started working on my laptop. I tried to contact "Radiant Tech Repair," but their phone has been out of service. I tried to go to their web site, but the web site link was broken. Yelp's business information on Radiant was a broken URL as well. I'm concerned for the length of time that has passed with no update or resolution. I went to Radiant Tech Repair on 01/22/2023 to pick up my laptop if not done. I did picked up my laptop computer without resolution. Given enough time I'm confident that their skills are acceptable, but their communication with customers could be improved upon.

They did a phenomenal job with the repair for a reasonable rate. As an added bonus--their office might be my favorite office to visit. They have the coolest collection of posters I've seen. They were rude, lazy and you had to go through a 30-minute conversation with someone before you can even schedule. Needless to say, we dumped them. Then I blew out my computer. I waited and waited to find someone to help me with my computer. I was so scared I was going to have to deal with another horrible experience. Then, I found Eastwind Computers and I just love the store. It has everything for computers; especially, build your own. The gentlemen we dealt with were very nice and friendly. They fixed my computer the next day, called me to tell me my computer was fixed, and for a very minimal fee. I found my new computer place. :)
