DO NOT rent a space here!!! We rented a 10' x 10' space 13 years ago and the rent was around…read more$100/month.....fast forward to today and the rent is $245/month! We found a larger size unit for $75/month. It's clean and no signs of rodents anywhere. The staff is always there and they are very friendly. When we cleared out our old unit this past weekend we realized that it was rodent infested and we had to take most everything to the dump. This place is disgusting and unsanitary. The office is NEVER open so it's impossible to speak to anyone in person, instead you have to call the corporate number and wait on hold for 10 to 15 minutes. Do yourself a favor and call around, there are multiple different storage companies in Lodi that are more affordable, clean and they will value your business, unlike Secure Care.

Once they get your signature and you're moved in the next month they will start increasing your…read morerent every month. They know you're not going to move all that stuff again, so they don't stop the increasing of the rent. In my opinion I WOULD ASK FOR A SET PRICE for how long you plan on keeping the storage unit or a written agreement on maximum increase. DONT TRUST THE VERBAL, GET IT IN WRITING!!!! Take your own rat bait traps, I used a poison mixed with water that went in a container like you would use for baby chickens, and used glue pads for rats. Rats & mice get thirsty and drink it. I have had my storage unit for 2 months now. Here is my experience:…read more Pros: - Clean: (I mean extremely clean) I don't know why the guy below said there were rat droppings but it seems from writing yelp reviews that he has other issues. The grounds have ALWAYS been clean whenever I stop by, which is about 1/week. - Professional: Melissa, the woman who works there is always above reproach. She speaks well and does not come off as rude or untrusting. - Courteous: Every time I talk to anyone in the office they smile, are not rude or condescending, ask how my day is going, etc. They make a great effort to provide great service. Let's remember, nobody is perfect. However, I don't have any complaints and if I did, I wouldn't try to ruin their entire life like Branden A. C'mon, now. - Inexpensive Rates: When I did my research of over 5 different storage units price and provisions were the top of my list. They are the most inexpensive and provide the most. They offer a 16' diesel (gas saver) moving truck with lift gate upon moving in and water if your thirsty. Their hours are simple and safe and are located in a well established area. Cons: - Only issue I had so far was that my Credit Card wasn't set up correctly but that could have been my fault. Melissa gave me a courtesy call to let me know and left a message. So, I called back and in less than 3 min was all good. Improvements Suggestions: - There is a garbage dumpster located inside and gets full quite frequently. Other times there is a lock to keep it closed. Maybe if there was a schedule posted to the dumpster indicating specific times that the dumpster is available to use, that would be helpful. All-in-all, I would not hesitate for a second to recommend this storage facility. Staff is awesome, units are inexpensive, grounds are clean, and the area is safe.

I am a senior citizen and have been very disappointed with my experience at Extra Space Storage. My…read moredaughter previously rented a storage unit at this same facility for approximately four years under the same management and never experienced any payment or billing issues. However, after I rented a unit and prepaid for 12 months using a single credit card payment, I began receiving additional bills, rate increase notices, and even a lien notice before my prepaid term ended. What is even more concerning is that my account history showed multiple payments and cash refunds, even though I only made one payment for the entire 12-month period. My family contacted the facility manager, customer service, and the district manager numerous times seeking an explanation and resolution. We were repeatedly assured that the billing issues had been fixed and that the account was corrected. Despite those assurances, the problems were never fully resolved. Eventually, I was locked out of my storage unit due to an alleged unpaid balance of approximately $39, even after the district manager had confirmed that all billing issues had been addressed. In order to gain access to my belongings and move out of the facility, I felt I had no choice but to pay the balance, despite my ongoing dispute regarding the account. This entire experience caused unnecessary stress, confusion, and inconvenience. I expected accurate billing, transparency, and better customer service, especially as a senior customer. Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE
