DO NOT rent a space here!!! We rented a 10' x 10' space 13 years ago and the rent was around $100/month.....fast forward to today and the rent is $245/month! We found a larger size unit for $75/month. It's clean and no signs of rodents anywhere. The staff is always there and they are very friendly. When we cleared out our old unit this past weekend we realized that it was rodent infested and we had to take most everything to the dump. This place is disgusting and unsanitary. The office is NEVER open so it's impossible to speak to anyone in person, instead you have to call the corporate number and wait on hold for 10 to 15 minutes. Do yourself a favor and call around, there are multiple different storage companies in Lodi that are more affordable, clean and they will value your business, unlike Secure Care. read more

Once they get your signature and you're moved in the next month they will start increasing your rent every month. They know you're not going to move all that stuff again, so they don't stop the increasing of the rent. In my opinion I WOULD ASK FOR A SET PRICE for how long you plan on keeping the storage unit or a written agreement on maximum increase. DONT TRUST THE VERBAL, GET IT IN WRITING!!!! I rented a 10x15 unit and was only paying $67.00 per month Was not even there for 3 months and they raised my rent to $90.00 per month. Then I went into the office and tried to get a smaller unit, was told they did not have any. But if you look there are quite a few units with no locks on them....HMMMM. I do not need a 10x15 right now I think I only need a 5x10. But what can ya do? read more

They try and bring you in with a cheap price and will raise it 40% after 5 months. They don't care current tenants. I would look elsewhere

UPDATE Although someone finally called me to help with the log-in issues, I JUST RECEIVED NOTICE OF ANOTHER RATE INCREASE, (almost $20 more) which will begin October 1st!! Seriously, rate increases every 4-6 months?! They say the rate increases are to provide better customer service, but that never happens! I will soon be giving notice to vacate the unit, what an absolute time-consuming HASSLE it is dealing with this company. SEVERE RAT PROBLEM!!! This place deserves a minus Star Rating!!! But I think I had to give 1 star to post this review. I just moved out this weekend, I've tried to communicate with both the store managers, no response. I've called corporate 3 times with case numbers and no reply!! Finally I called to cancel Saturday. I went to get my belongings that are mostly in plastic containers with no food, and had RAT POOP all over the floor, all over my containers, they lived in expensive woven baskets and destroyed my Expensive rug, and my storage rack was covered in rat poop. We had to wipe off each container before loading into the uhaul because of rat poop!! By the end of cleaning out my storage, minus all the rat poop on the floor, my personal truck bed was filled with sadly a lot of good things I had to take to the dump out off Harney Rd. Had my unit for almost 2 years and they canceled my autopay for some reason. Didn't call us or email us so how were we supposed to know? After 14 days they can start getting rid of your stuff!! I just happened to try to enter my unit on day 14 and it said my account was suspended. I could have not known that all my stuff would be gone had I not needed something from my unit last night. Not to mention they raise the rent every few months so a unit at $160 is now $250 a year later. They say it's for raising maintenance costs but I've never seen maintenance, and our lights have been out in our entire section for the past 2 years. We have had a storage shed here for 2 years on auto pay. For some reason that they can't explain my auto pay was stopped. I wasn't aware and when finally notified i payed immediately. I called them multiple times and left messages with no return calls. I finally spoke to someone last week, she was very nice but couldn't give me any information about what happened. I payed one amount in august but she shows a different amount and couldn't explain why. She suggested i call the main telephone number and create a ticket which i did. On top of all of this there was a rate increase that i wasn't informed about. My understanding was a regional manager would call me within 2-3 days......I'm still waiting!!!! The caretakers should be fired!! They are NEVER available. They hide when they see you so they don't have to help you. There is mail all over the floor and stickers on the door from FedEx trying to make a delivery. How do they keep their job. They live on the premises so they can see they have customers. Well, I "reserved" a unit on Monday for a Thursday move in. Well, I wasn't aware my reservation was "soft" so instead of letting me know, they just gave it to someone else. I ask them what does a "soft reservation" due for me? I guess it gets me on their email list. A email list that never let's their clients know when their unit is about to be given to someone else. Don't waste your time with these amateurs. If you need a unit you've "reserved" it just might still be available when you go to physically rent...but probably not! read more

Lodi SecurCare Storage...Rat infested!!! this is one of the worst storages i have rented from. After 2 months, they raised the rent an additional $25 a month. They said to keep up the maintenance on the place they were needing to increase the rate. Along with raising the rent finding out that this storage is a RAT infested place. Awful!!! I had to put my own poison inside of my unit but they still came in and ate up a wires I had to my light and ate up my wooden coffee table and left rat crap and rat pee all over...just very sickening! The managers clearly don't care and don't do enough for their RAT problem. I know rats are every where but this place is ridiculous. Never again! Think twice before going here. read more
