This spot is so much fun! I stopped in for a couple of drinks and some food and had the best time. The vibes are so good! I love how laid back it is. We went on a Thursday night and there was live music and it was pretty crowded! I would definitely go back next time I'm in town.
This is the most welcoming and coolest bar in the world. This massive, high-energy outlaw country space is an amazing, unpretentious venue you must see. The double-story building is a large, open Texas beer hall that blends modern and traditional saloon styles with an intentionally eclectic, whimsical vibe reminiscent of a theme park. For instance, the bathroom doors look like jail cells with hands on the bars, while the pristine stalls feature portraits of Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash. I used the Willie Nelson and was "on the commode again". The centerpiece is a huge, three-sided bar adorned with neon signs, vintage Western memorabilia, industrial brewing equipment, and a massive wall of taps. It serves both classics and ready-to-serve frozen drinks, which you can enjoy in the pet-friendly beer garden backyard party. Order you "two pina coladas and hope they fill 'em to the brim if your world is kind of rocky and you need to learn to swim." (That was Garth Brooks or Maya Angelou). The casual, amphitheater-like patio faces an outdoor stage built into the bed of a vintage truck. The live music (even 12:30pm on a Thursday) is loud enough to be festive but managed so you don't have to scream to be heard. The entire area is covered by a massive glass and steel retractable roof, ensuring comfort in any weather, in case you don't "love a rainy night nor think it's such a beautiful sight, and hate to feel the rain on your face, taste the rain on your lips in the moonlight shadows." (That was Eddie Rabbit or SunTzu). The seating options are excellent and varied. Groups can share high-tops around a gas fire or a lit tree, or even sit in kitschy sawed-off pickup truck beds with bench seating. You can also find lounge chairs near the outdoor fireplace, huge swinging benches, and plenty of folding beach chairs on the astroturf. For dining, you can order affordable bar food from a window and receive a pager, so there is no need to "might as well lay down and nap 'cause you've spent half your life just waiting on a nacho." (That was Brad Paisley or Abraham Lincoln).
Cool little spot while visiting The Stockyards. I always love live music and the selection of music is great. The food outside is mediocre and such a small selection. The outside in the back is so nice
It has been a minute since I've been to a brewery and it was such fun to attend over spring break with my kids. What a beautiful spot, full of kind people and amazing decorations. The drinks were great, the burger was very good and my kids loved the chicken fingers. There were not a lot of cleaner options which would have been nice to have a few wraps or grilled chicken. The kids loved being able to run around, their outside is so great they should consider putting in a small climbing area for the kids. It'll make the parents stay longer aka drinks + food, while the kids have a great time outside. It could be where we sat but the acoustics were really hard to hear the singer who was a sweet older man. The tables also became VERY hot when the sun hit them for too long, so not sure what the solve is but the kids hated sitting because they kept burning their hands.
If you are grabbing a drink that's not their own brewed beer, the ambiance alone is worth a visit. If you are here because you love craft beer, this place fell short. I had the Big Buckle IPA and it was barely drinkable.
We were visiting this area from CA and were told to make sure we stopped here. Wanted to experience the Fort Worth Stockyard. This place was just what we were looking for. Our bartender, Ashlynn, was so welcoming and spent a lot of time telling us the history of the bar and brewery. This place is decorated like an old Western Bar. It was so fun. We stayed there for over an hour and then walked over to the area attached to the bar that had a Country Singer playing. We sat and listened to him until he was done with his set. Really great place. We didn't get to have any food as we had already made reservations elsewhere. Next time , for sure. Thanks again to Ashlynn for being so accommodating.
The beer? Okay at best. Probably better described as average. Given the location I thought there would be more competition around on that front but there doesn't seem to be. I did not have any food here so I cannot comment on that side of things. The real attraction is just that the place looks amazing and when you are inside the main area it feels almost like you are outside. The stage is the center point and I'm a sucker for a local country singer. On those measurements, this place was amazing.
Second Rodeo was an amazing stop while at the Stockyards. We stopped in for a quick bite and to enjoy a few new brews. Roy was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable and was able to recommend beverages that matched our preferred flavor profiles. When you go, be sure to ask for Roy! We tried the Rolling Amber and Dr. Chilton.
This spot is always a good time! I've been here on a few occasions, most recently to watch the US vs Turkey World Cup game. They're definitely going all out for FIFA in the upstairs area while retaining some of the stockyard vibe downstairs. This was a great spot to watch the game: it was loud, packed with fans, and the bar was fast! They're also offering souvenir cups for many of the drinks which was an added perk and made the experience fun! I've also ordered food here, most recently I had the Siracha wings with fries. They're definitely decent and perfect bar food while you're watching a game. This is also a great spot to catch up with friends or kick back, especially the outdoor patio in the back along the river. That's what's great about Second Rodeo: the vibe can be whatever you want it to be! The drinks are also pretty good as we've tried several of their brews with no complaints. This is definitely a must-do in the stockyards, so don't forget to stop by!
Stopped by as an out of towner during lunch last week. The food is ordered at a window and then you get a pager. Everyone's wings were really tasty. Unfortunately I was in town for work so I didn't get to try the beers. The live entertainment was also great and he was super friendly.
A great place to have a group work event. Was surprised that they chill their red wine. We had nachos, fries, wings typical bar food. Huge seating area.
This place had nice ambience. The place had live music and chill vibes. There was even a table with swing chairs all around it. The musician was good and I appreciated the sound level. It was loud enough to hear and enjoy but wasn't so loud that you are having to scream over the music to be heard. They had a couple different opinions for food with separate lines for the separate places. I decided to go with the chicken wings. It came with French fries which I appreciated. The wings were really good and crispy. A little more expensive than I hoped but nothing too crazy.
Very cool looking and huge brewery in the heart of Forth Worth. It was a hot afternoon so we stopped here to get a beer. Unfortunately my beer felt flat and with not much flavor (no CO2 perhaps). They have great decor all around. The bathrooms art is super funny and enternaining. Service was ok.
Love this place !! What a great way to enjoy a cocktail/ beer and friends Plenty of seating inside outside and even a nice patio out back with some cool decor. Live music outside was perfect (not so loud ther you couldn't enjoy your company ) the drinks are Reasonably priced so it's a really good deal in my opinion. Parking can be tricky down here but I'm told The Drover will valet you for 10.00 Not sure but the train used to drop off down here too if you don't want to drive read more

Hey Stephen S., thank you for providing your feedback. We have…
So many things to say here, where to begin? The location in Mule Alley is excellent, the interior design and layout are awesome. They spared no expense on hitting all the little details, even down to the furniture. The service was lackluster at best. The employees were not engaged nor did it appear they liked their jobs. This is a big red flag. This usually indicates a management problem, which means this place's days are numbered. The beer was mostly terrible, the IPA and Belgian Dark Ale were both horrible. The Porter was barely drinkable, the only decent beer I tried was the Cadillac Job Hefeweizen. They also have no flights available at this time and use plastic solo type cups, instead of real beer glasses. The food menu is very limited, your only options are bone-in wings, nachos, and a Philly cheesesteak. Why on earth would anyone serve a Philly cheesesteak in the middle of the stockyards?! Heck, you might as well put beans in the chili and serve it with a side of Quinoa for Pete's sake! This place has the potential to be great, but is currently falling far short. I'll wait for things to improve before visiting again. read more

Made a quick stop here to try the wings. It's a bit confusing, but you order food outside and alcohol inside, so don't wait for waitress. The wing choice was maple bacon with waffle crumbs. It was definitely unique and a good sticky choice. The outdoors was huge, but it was too hot on this day. Sweet tea is good read more

Drinks: I had the salted watermelon, and my friends had the grapefruit ranch water and Texas mule. The drinks were decently flavored. I just wish that salted watermelon (frozen drink) wasn't as thick, because it was hard to sip. I had to wait 30 minutes for it to settle more and be enjoyable to drink. Service: The bartenders were quick, and friendly. Environment: The live music was definitely fun to see. The volume wasn't too overbearing, considering we were seated furthest from the stage. We were still able to comfortably have a conversation without straining our voices over others or the music. It was pretty populated, but there was enough seating to accommodate the bunch that were visiting. I really enjoyed the patio set up, and it really set a social mood that was fun to be around! Loved my time here and would come back again in a group setting to enjoy live music and a few drinks. read more

Fun bar with good vibes! I wouldn't go here to eat dinner since the menu is very minimal. This place is more for the dancing, music, and drinks. Price is pretty reasonable compared to surrounding restaurants! Bar is very speedy too. Super cool place, definitely recommend. read more

Such an exciting carefree and fun place. Very spacious place where you can watch live music, hangout and drink some nice cold beer. Love the rustic decorations. Perfect for photos. Their Philly cheesesteaks were humongous and delicious!! They packed the sandwich up with so much steak and veggies!! So much flavor. Inside very juicy and the bread nicely toasted. And it included a nice juicy sour pickle and chips. Food came out very quick. Staff were very friendly. I was very happy spending my time here. read more

This is the place that REALLY made me love Mule Alley! Truly another slam dunk for Jason Boso, the chef/owner behind not only Second Rodeo but some other local faves such as Twisted Root, Truckyard and By the Horn Brewing. This place is FUN! Great for meeting friends or coming in a big group, but can also be a fun family night or date night! You walk into a super cool space, a quirky "Second Rodeo Penitentiary" cell photo op on one side, framed photos of famous "outlaws" as well tables and booths, more of a restaurant feel. But honestly, I don't ever spend that much time inside because the space is all about the "Patio". You go outside into what feels like a big glass barn. Really super chill backyard vibes with lawn chairs, kegs with cushions, truck beds converted into tables to sit at well as a stage for live music (which they have daily)! Such an awesome, laid back and dog friendly space! Food options are limited to either wings, cheesesteaks or nachos, all are excellent! What I love about the wings are the unique flavors and the fact that they are served with the yummiest fries. I don't know what it is about how they make their fries, but every time I've gotten them they're always super crunchy, well seasoned and golden! I will say that I am BIG SAD that they discontinued my favorite wing flavor! It was called "Lime in the Coconut" and it was a lime and coconut glaze on the wings with graham cracker salt on top. It tasted like Keylime Pie and fried chicken had a delicious food baby. I told everyone about them and recommended it so many times, I couldn't believe my ears when someone I had told said they went, and that those wings weren't even on the menu anymore. I may have to start a "Bring Back Lime in the Coconut Wings" petition! Despite the fact that my favorite wings are gone (I'll keep my fingers crossed for their return), I can't talk too much smack because all the other wing flavors here are also amazing! Especially Chicken N Waffles and Texas Cherry Cola! Both really fun flavors that do an amazing job of balancing sweet and savory. Cheesesteaks here are "world famous" for a reason! They are big, they are bold and they are beautiful! You pick your veggies and cheese of course and have the option to double both for what they call a "big Buddha" cheesesteak. I really dig the fact that they offer the traditional cheese for a Philly, Cheese Whiz! I can already hear all the cheese connoisseurs groaning from a mile away but hey, it's the OG way to have a Philly, so show some respect! Now this is a brewery, so try a beer, they have plenty to choose from! I love that they have all their own house brews, but also feature beers from other local breweries, as well as cans and seltzers. They do have a selection of frozen cocktail, draft cocktails as well as bottled cocktails (where you get to keep the flask!) and of course wine and bubbles! Truly something for everyone here. Service is a bit up and down. I asked one of the girl bartenders how the Frosé was because I was debating between that or a grapefruit ranch water, she replied "I don't know because I don't drink either of that sh*t". The cursing isn't what bothered me, it was how she said it plus the eye roll that made me feel dumb for even asking. I ended up ordering the Frosé anyways and not looking too much into it. In the end, this one experience won't stop me from coming back. My last little tip, If you're reading this and you're a lady, don't forget to stop by the bathroom before you leave, lol thank me later ;) read more

My first time visiting the stockyards. Loved this vibe. Stopped in on a week day after work and sat on the patio. The live music was a plus. There are heaters outside to keep warm and although it was freezing outside it was toasty on the patio. Very dog friendly. My dog loved it. The nachos were also yummy. read more

I am giving the Philly cheese steak five stars. It was ready super fast and was DELICIOUS. I loved that you can choose which veggies to have. I don't like onions and they had no problem leaving those off. My husband and I split one and it was enough. For twelve bucks that's a great deal given the fast speed of service and touristy nature of the place. As for drinks, avoid the margaritas as they're just premade. The IPA beer was good. Service at the bar was excellent and they hustled the drinks to us. I would come back!! read more
This is such a fun spot! I had no idea that there stockyards had a whole river walk situation going on down there these days. I stumbled upon this gem when I was on my way somewhere else and I will definitely be back. They have great in house brewed beer, excellent bartenders who are friendly and personable, cool ambiance and the prices really aren't bad for the stockyards! I had the blonde and really enjoyed it. read more

Our favorite stop at the Stockyards! This place is awesome. It was our first and last stop of the day while visiting. It is a brewery in the Stockyards that exceeded all of my expectations. The inside has a ton of seating and a bar and then outside is very open, with food options, a ton of cool picture opportunities, live music and another bar. We enjoyed the lemon cucumber beer, but they also have other beer on draft, cocktails, and a full bar. Don't miss out on the bathrooms! We went on a Tuesday and they had live music from 2pm ish on, and both artists were awesome. We didn't try the food, but there were a lot of people ordering. Definitely a must see spot in Fort Worth! read more

Absolutely LOVED this fun brewery! Decor is whimsical and cheeky, drink selection is phenomenal, and the food menu is well-edited. It may seem like there aren't many choices (wings, nachos, and sliders), but they're VERY well done with lots of unexpected choices. We got the Lime in the Coconut and PB&J wings. Both DELICIOUS, but we especially loved the lime/coconut. 6 in an order and they're enormous. Second Rodeo is massive and there are several areas to hang out, so it's easy to carve out your own little spot and safely distance yourself even when it's packed. We were there during a Cowboys playoff game on a Sunday afternoon but never had to wait for service and easily found a spot near the live music outside. Finally, it's extremely dog- and family-friendly! read more
