As Second Cup is a franchise, it's always hit or miss. This location on Wilson was definitely the former. Came here tonight (Tues) with some work colleagues. Considering the time, it was pretty busy with people of all different ages. There were a few people with laptops open; I'm assuming they were university students doing their work. We had to wait a few minutes for four chairs to open up, but during the wait time, we were able to order our drinks and food. There are many places to sit - from the stools to the big comfortable chairs. It's the perfect place to get school work done or meet up with friends. There are a lot of pastries and sandwiches to choose from. Depending on the franchise location, I find that this can differ from store to store. I ordered the vanilla bean latte and was not disappointed. I don't live anywhere close to the area so I doubt that I'll be sitting here sipping a latte anytime soon, but if I'm in the area I'll be back. Yay, I'm a fan. read more

I love coming to this location. It's has one of the largest seating spots I've seen from any coffee shop. It has multi-level seating where you can stand/sit at your leisure and outlets everywhere!!! This spot was renovated a year ago and it's beautiful inside. The staff is always nice and very accommodating :). In the same plaza as best buy and Costco so Saturday's could be a little tricky for parking but I always find a spot. Also has outdoor seating and 2 individual all gender bathrooms :) read more

Great open space. Couches and tables. High ceilings. The crowd isnt all students, but great for work (outlets are ample) and good for just a chat. My only complaint is that the tables I am sitting at right now are too high vs that chair. My shoulders hurt. The floor is also quite dirty and I really don't want to put anything there. Needs a sweep. Crumbs everywhere. I do like how the treats, they have many all natural and gluten free options. I've actually always been a fan of Second Cup treats as opposed to you know, the other one. Also La Rocca cake slices are available if you want to indulge even more. Free wifi, but they want you to sign up with Facebook (and give access to your information), a sign up form, or a credit card (but it's free!) Great place to kill some time and be productive between activities. read more

Bought : 2 chocolate tarts at $5.05 each. 1 lemon tart at $4.50 1 pecan square at $3.45 1 banana chocolate power at $5.95. Came in at 7:10 pm. Not busy, 1 customer in front of me. 1 person at the cash/service area. The person packed my pastries right away and proceeded to make my drink. Waited for 10 minutes. The customer behind got her order. The other associate coming from her break noticed a batch of my order and asked her associate (gasped for forgetting to cup my order). Unbelievable! The drink tasted so ordinary. Not worth the $5.95 price. The associates here need to trained a bit more. read more

I am come here 10 or more a times a month as work very close to this one. I try the breakfast sandwichs. Very good to start your day off and very yummy. I like the chocolate/ peanutbutter cookie as snack. There have lots cakes and other cookies that will be great for sweet tooth. My go to drink is mochas always hot and great. This is more of a bar-style Second Cup, like the one on Leslie north of York Mills. Warm and cozy in the winter. You can't walk to it, unless you're up for some exercise. It's nestled in the parking lot between the Costco and the Liquor Store and is much more car friendly than pedestrian friendly, but that goes for much of Downsview. The coffee and food are standard for the chain--decent and for some reason more expensive than Starbucks. read more

From the tables to chairs and outlets, I would see this location as good study spot.... not hard to find but it just north of yorkdale but i dont see this plaza seeing as much attention with yorkdale right there. This seems to be my GO TO place when meeting some of my friends that live out west near the airport and Yorkdale area. Due to its central location right off the Allen road, and highway its not a surprise that this place is usually busy with its regular clientele. There's an abundance of parking available, and the venue is very clean, presentable with no shortage of seating. Most Second Cup locations are relatively built the same, with the same layout, but the spaciousness, to me that is, is very important. I dislike coming to a coffee joint where space is premium...much like the real estate in Toronto lol. The service is great, and the workers are awesome in a personable way to both the regulars and non regular clientele. read more

It's never too crowded/busy here. It's the perfect place to study at, enough background noise but never too loud. The music that plays here is almost always Spanish music - this could be con depending on how you're feeling. The service here is OK. The baristas could be more friendly, but overall OK. My drinks are usually very good, just the way I like it, but today I decided to go with a plain old iced coffee with a shot of vanilla, sweetened with milk.. When I got it, it looked watered down and barely had milk in it. Took a sip and it was like water with a hint of coffee. No vanilla taste. I ended up scooping ice out, adding milk and sugar to my liking. It's too bad. read more

It's Saturday morning on Sept. 24th/16. I'm getting my vehicle serviced across the street at VW Yorkdale. So I walk over to grab a coffee and muffin. Service was good and quick. The decor looked really nice and relaxing. The problem began when I sat down to enjoy an enjoyable coffee house experience. Tables were yet to be cleaned...What I got was three girls behind the counter (maybe two, might be unfair to the one that who took my order) talking loudly about getting 'hammered' the night before and throwing around f bombs in front of the patronage. I get that there should be cameraderie amongst co workers. It makes the day go by quickly and you enjoy your job. I used to be a barista at Starbucks myself. I know how unnerving the morning rush can be. But, not at the expense of the customer experience. Cackling of laughter, gossip about the night before involving alcohol, puking and getting 'hammered' is not what customers want to hear. You might be thinking 'just mind your business' or 'go somewhere else'. Kind of difficult when they are speaking loudly and throwing f bombs around. And yes, I will be going elsewhere. Never thought I'd be the 'get off my lawn' and 'turn the music down' guy as I'm pretty liberal, but this experience has turned me into one. read more
