The London fogs are decent, but today I had the worst Cranberry orange scone I think I've ever eaten. Don't know if it was gluten free or what. Blerg. Also, I really wish Second Cup could play something other than the whiny Sirius coffeehouse mix. That s**t is seriously annoying. Also, the chair I sat in near the window was SUPER rickety. Not sure how much life it has left in it.

Only 2 other people here at 4PM on a Thursday but lots of seating for a nice coffee date. They have Jacek chocolates which I may have to go back for! They also have their own coffee (beans) which leads me to believe their coffee must be good. There baked goods selection was a muffin or homemade granola bar. I tried the granola bar. It was soft, chewy, and nice. Simple yet filling. A nice homemade tasting snack.

Excited to try out their patio this summer ( they are right next to bloom vegan cookies so that would make a very nice strolling combo!!!!)

It can get very busy during coffee break times with the line up out the door and few seats available. My last visit was after work hours around 5PM and there were a few tables occupied but we had spots to choose from. There's also the outdoor seating that you can get to from inside but you may need to manoeuvre your way to the door. Outside if great on a warm day and you also like to people watch. The service was very quick and efficient. I'm not a coffee drinker so I get a tea ($2) or an Italian soda. The tables can be a little close to others so best not to have a private conversation but great for chit chat with friends. The washroom was clean and you don't need a key to get in like some other Second Cups. Will continue to come to this location to meet friends after work or before heading to the market.

I vowed I'd never visit one again because I always found it slow with poor service. However, this little Second Cup buried in the Candian Western Bank building was awesome! I've visited twice now and loved the baristas both times. They seem to enjoy their job unlike every Tim Hortons employee I've come across. Their frozen hot chocolate is the bomb and much more refreshing and better tasting then an ice cap. I love the fact that I can use my SPC card to upsize my drink for free! What a deal! I also enjoy that I don't have to pay to have whipped cream on my drinks Unlike Tim Hortons and cookies by George. They offer it to you free! Everytime I'm by picking up my gf, I'll bemaking a second pick up there. Too good to pass up! Go visit and see for yourself!

That said, when I do visit, the service I get is efficient. So there's that. And like other Second Cup locations they have a fairly varied menu of non-coffee beverages which I rather do appreciate. Props to the business being ahead of the curve long ago to offer & create a reuse/recycle community of sorts with the extras from the cafe (those bean bags are really useful for many gardening endeavours). Roasti is also wonderfully situated for those out on neighbourhood errands (laundry mat on other end of parking lot & you'll have just enough time to enjoy a coffee & be back to change the machine), meeting up with friends or a quick stop when passing by. There's lots of parking options in this big parking lot for all the shops. Those with mobility aids, it might be a bit tricky navigating the sidewalk (various items are usually are placed on sidewalk from either direction to the door & getting over the parking barrier blocks is tricky if you're using more than a cane) but I will hope nothing will block you on the sidewalk if you do try to venture in. A wrap or sandwich will set you back at least $7 - go next door to 7-11 instead and get one for under $5. This location also offers Pinkberry frozen yogourt. We stopped in each morning during our three-day stay in E-town and by the third morning she knew what we wanted even before we ordered. That's magic! But it wasn't just us, it was a number of customers who she knew the names, faces and orders for and she did it while being polite, personable and efficient. I think it would be a smart move for the management at Second Cup to have new "baristas" at other locations shadow her for a few days, or maybe a week, and observe how she interacts with customers. She's "old school" in her approach to customer service and "the kids" could learn so much from her. I don't need a heart or a smiley face on my latte to make me become a regular at a coffee shop, what I want is genuine human interaction from the person serving me my coffee.
