So much sugar. It was fairly good. Definitely satisfied a cinnamon bun craving.
Jai E.

Not my first visit here. But it is definitely what I come to expect from a Second Cup. I'm always unhappy to put up a three star, but let's be real. Three is average and there is nothing wrong with average. This most recent visit was an early morning Sunday, so there was very few people there. Lots of available tables and everyone was extra quiet. The cafe itself was very clean too, but I've never seen it disgustingly dirty. This place is good for that. The service was fine. No overly friendly. It was good and the reason I'd come back. The cinnamon buns are $3.10 a piece and worth it. They are quite big. They are topped with generous amounts of icing. If you want extra icing, stop. You don't need it. You're likely getting a sugar filled beverage too. I coupled mine with a caramel corretto. Though I'm filled with happiness, is basically the foreshadowing for an amazing afternoon sugar crash. I like this place because it is easy to access from 75th.

This is the absolute best Second Cup in Edmonton. I am a HUGE Second Cup Moccachino addict (ask my friends and family). I go to various locations in Edmonton (and occasionally Western Canada) on a regular basis, but this is always my favorite one to return to (like a second home for me). They actually know my name. Though this location is always packed, the customer service is unparalleled anywhere else in the city (or outside of the city , for that matter). If you like your specialty coffees and a friendly atmosphere, you'll love this Second Cup. Bring your friends to catch up or go alone and enjoy access to the free WiFi connection they offer.

This place is pretty run down, needs a Reno Chairs are ripped and falling apart Garbage on the floor Internet service is the slowest I've ever experienced Drive though might be a better choice than going in

Update - under new management. Thankfully, a few of the old staff remain to get the foam just right. Still free wifi :)

Review Highlights - Second Cup

Noticed that some of the comfy chairs have gone to give more table space and they have a person coming to teach painting.

I especially like that typically the atmosphere is calm and quiet because I am sensitive to noise. I'm SO happy that one of my mom's friends introduced me to this place, it's one of my favourite local to me places to take people to for a nice outing. It's a coffee house so there is of course, coffee, but also there's many options for non-coffee folks too :D This place has never failed to satisfy the cafe itch I get sometimes, and it's not prohibitively expensive! Tasty AND affordable! All around just a good place I love it here.

I drank a latte and later the Anvil fog, which is similar to a London Fog. Both were very delicious drinks and would have anytime in the future. Both drinks and foods are sold at this location, so definitely a good place to be if you are a student, or even meeting with friends or family. Local craft and artworks are sold as well - so you surely get to encourage locally made items. The atmosphere at the coffee shop is very enjoyable. The noise is fairly quiet, so you get to enjoy the place a lot. Service was another good point at Anvil Coffee House - it was excellent and friendly, fast and very professional. Finally, Anvil coffee house is a very enjoyable place to have food and delicious drinks, and the company you have.

Oh. Em. Squeal!!!!!…read more First off, mad props to my friend for introducing me to this charming new addition to the coffee scene. Stop Gap opened just under a month ago in Oliver. They describe themselves as a temporary (stop gap) means to filling a need - coffee - served with an intentional and caring heart. Caleb Kam, the owner, is warm and inviting. He definitely knows his coffee. You may know him from his former life at Brown Butter Cafe. Caleb focuses on Canadian, fresh, and local! I spotted Ace and Candid today (Edmonton gems). The clientele were sweet and happy to offer up their faves! Nathan, a regular, told me Caleb is the go to for the best pour over in town. I opted for a Dirty Chai - made to perfection and my friend had a oat milk chai complete with milk art adorning the top. Both beverages were perfection. Coffee can be consumed in house complete with adorable coasters (el gato was my fave naturally, meow) or taken to go. For seating, there is a cute bench against the window front and a side room available if not booked. Caleb also had fresh donuts from Fuzion in Chinatown. My friend and I shared the cake and Cinnamon bun donut today. Sooo ridiculously good. Be sure to check Fuzion out online - they don't have a storefront so you will need to order in advance if you are looking to up your donut game at your next office meeting. I seriously can't wait to come back here again! Oh and they also have a beautiful meeting space available for rent on the main floor in case you want to bring your next staff meeting to the best coffee in town! Such a true pleasure meeting you today, Caleb! Stop Gap is exactly what YEG needs!

The coffee shop's location is on the second floor of the building (right next door to the restaurant Sugarbowl), and offers an awesome view of the North Saskatchewan river, downtown / Jasper Ave on one side, and the Garneau neighborhood on the other side. The place is filled with antique furniture, wooden floors, but also a touch of modern style as well. With the decor, the smell of coffee, along with the presence of coffee drinkers and enthusiasts, Kaffa is very inviting and a great place to drink coffee, eat and be with someone (or by oneself). Kaffa has its own coffee roasting machine on location - so I hope you can imagine the smell of coffee is very much present here at Kaffa!!! It's very nice. Kaffa, both a derivative and coffee region in Ethiopia, also sells their roasted coffee, and tea as well. Ethiopia, as well as a few Central American countries, provide beans for the roastery. Kaffa also offers art space for local artists, but music concerts as well. Anyone with questions or inquiries can contact Kaffa (their email address is on their website, kaffaroasterystudio.com).

It took awhile to come out, being there were hardly any customers that time of day, but when it came out, it was delicious. Nice bright decor with paintings to look at and friendly staff. My friend liked her salad, which came in a large bowl for around 9 dollars. My Salmon Eggs Benedict was around 20 dollars. Their lattes are quite good as well. Although it's a cafe, my friend says their food is quite good. I would go back for the eggs Benedict and coffee.

Popped in with a friend for a coffee; I had a flat white (pictured) and it was at the perfect temperature to drink all of it while it remained hot. Looks like they brew Catfish coffee, a huge local success that I've had at home a few times, and it makes for excellent coffee. Service is pleasant though the proprietors have chosen to have a tip prompt in the POS system, sigh. We sat at a tall table near the window; plenty of people watching available. There were a couple of tables outside in a corralled-off patio on the parking lot, and one couple brought their little dog with them and sat there, so I guess that's available. There are patisseries in a case that look interesting, and a small menu, and gelato, so if you're hungry you have choices, though since there is no AC I doubt that I would want to eat there in summer.
