I have been a customer at Ace Hardware in Mukilteo for almost 30 years. In that time they almost…read morealways were able to take care of all of my needs as far as my yard and house were concerned...ntil today. I called them to purchase a wheelbarrow and I asked them to deliver it to me, here i. mukilteo. He told me "Oh, we don't deliver outside 3 miles", and suggested I contact "one of our larger stores who have more emplyees." Which steuck me as a bumch of garbage, but I called the Silver Lake store. The lady I talked to was wonderful, and was also a resident of Mukilteo. She couldn't believe what I hD been told. "Let me give them a call for you." I went outside and worked for a little over an hour. No call. I came back in and called Silver Lake again. "They haven't called you yet??" "Nope." "Let me call them again." She called right back to tell me that" when I got the manager and gave him my name, he hung up on me" (!!) So I contacted Ace corporate to lodge a formal complaint. I was put on hold for 20 minutes and was told"I lodged your complaint with the store manager and you should be hearing from him soon." I told him I was mot holding my breath for that call.( that never came.) Meanwhile the gal from Silver Lake called back and offered to deliver from her store for a small fee. I told her "thank you so much for going above and beyond, but I won't give Ace Hardware another nickel of my money."

But today, I was stopped on my way in and told I had to leave my backpack--which acts as my purse--behind the counter. ME: "Oh? When did the store start this policy?" STAFF: "We've always done it." ME: "I've NEVER been asked to surrender my backpack and I come in here a lot!" STAFF: Pulls me aside in a confidential whisper..."It's not you, if you know what I mean, but we have to do it to everyone." Now, I am an AARP-card carrying senior in her 60s and I was stopped on this one occasion out of maybe 25+ visits to this store over the past 3 months. This is a case of implicit bias in action, folks. I don't carry a purse. I carry a small knapsack to keep my wallet in. I support Ace's right to proactively prevent shoplifting. But they must be consistent enacting those policies. Don't send off a suspicious vibe when you're projecting a "friendly" atmosphere! There's a smaller neighborhood HW store down the road. I think I will take my business there from now on.

I had the good fortune of finding Central Welding Supply which was close to my neighborhood. There was no line at all. I was instructed to put my tank on their loading dock, and within moments it was being filled indoors. Payment was quick, and they carried my tank to put in my car. So slick, easy, and very convenient. Whenever I will need more propane, Central has earned a life-long customer.

Problem: Needed to fix drip in #1 bath sink faucet. Decided to replace all four cartridges in #1…read morefaucet and #2 faucet and replace entire faucet assembly in #3 bath sink faucet to match first two. Plan: Visited showroom. Amber immediately ordered replacement faucet. We then met with Pam to schedule all onsite work for following week. Done in less than 30 minutes. Fix: Kevin arrived at appointed time. He replaced the older fixture and all four cartridges. No more drips. Cat was disappointed since she had made a daily habit of jumping up on the sink trying to catch the drips. All in all a most pleasant, professional and timely experience. We will be returning for any future plumbing needs.

The 5th time they came here, it was claimed to be fixed and finished. However, there were still major issues. I re-scheduled with them and this is the 2nd attempt at a re-schedule to where they DID NOT SHOW UP AT ALL. Excuses have ranged from: "being busy with previous jobs", "database error", "car trouble". PLEASE AVOID. They do a TERRIBLE job and also do not show. Customer service is useless and they don't have a phone number, other than their dispatcher.

wanted an out-of-the-ordinary sink for my (hopefully) soon to be completed kitchen remodel and,…read moreafter browsing for ideas at Pacific Sales, went looking online​ where i stumbled across the ARTISAN CRAFTED HOME website. was immediately drawn to the 36" Round Front Copper Farmhouse Sink (available in four finishes: dark smoke, Rio​ Grande, cafe natural, and matte copper). went with Rio​ Grande since that was a nice fit with the faucet and cabinet hardware i was already leaning toward. be aware that being copper, the sink does require some maintenance​ and needs to be sealed (a quick rubdown with a soft cloth and an inexpensive​ waxing compound available from ARTISAN​ CRAFTED HOME) every couple of months. according to the website, their farmhouse sinks are hand-hammered in 14 gauge, lead-free copper by 3rd generation coppersmiths, are TIG copper welded, and built to last a lifetime. not sure about all that, but i can tell you this: my new sink is gorgeous.

I requested assistance and got a nasty letter from the boss, speaking to me like I was a high school dropout about the chemistry, etc etc. I think this is a family business and they cover for each other which is OK but the buck has to stop somewhere. These guys need a person who understands measurements and tolerances. If you order a drop in sink it has to fit the cutout or it was made wrong. They blamed the craftsmen. That is a cheap shot because any craftsman understands "It has to fit in the cutout".
