wanted an out-of-the-ordinary sink for my (hopefully) soon to be completed kitchen remodel and, after browsing for ideas at Pacific Sales, went looking online​ where i stumbled across the ARTISAN CRAFTED HOME website. was immediately drawn to the 36" Round Front Copper Farmhouse Sink (available in four finishes: dark smoke, Rio​ Grande, cafe natural, and matte copper). went with Rio​ Grande since that was a nice fit with the faucet and cabinet hardware i was already leaning toward. be aware that being copper, the sink does require some maintenance​ and needs to be sealed (a quick rubdown with a soft cloth and an inexpensive​ waxing compound available from ARTISAN​ CRAFTED HOME) every couple of months. according to the website, their farmhouse sinks are hand-hammered in 14 gauge, lead-free copper by 3rd generation coppersmiths, are TIG copper welded, and built to last a lifetime. not sure about all that, but i can tell you this: my new sink is gorgeous. read more

Paid $585 for copper pendant lights from this company. When one arrived damaged, they insisted it could be repaired (it couldn't). They finally agreed to let me return it after making up some bogus claim about passing the UPS claim deadline (which I know was BS because I own a retail shipping business). They made me pay the shipping to return the damaged pendant! Then they sent me a replacement with the wrong finish so it didn't match the existing two from my original order. On top of that, it was also missing parts, including the mounting cap for the ceiling. When I told them this, they said I would have to order three brand new ones that were made at the same time for them to match. I told them fine, but then they told me I'd have to pay for those out of pocket and they wouldn't refund me for the original order until they had gotten those items returned. And guess what - they made me pay for that return shipping, too. So in the end, I finally have matching, undamaged pendants, but I had to pay the cost of the pendants twice AND pay for almost $100 extra for shipping. Ridiculous! My wife and I intended to buy other home goods from them after our remodel was finished, but now we will never buy anything from them ever. We told all of our friends to avoid Artisan Crafted Home like the plague. read more

Nothing but problems with this company. A well packaged copper sink, with zero damage on the crate, had a damaged sink inside. It looked like the sink slipped through quality control. They passed the damage responsibility onto DHL. High-end powder coated drains have cheap plastic parts under the sink. I called Mountain Plumbing and they have drains with stainless steel parts but these people don't tell you that they can get the upgraded version so they sell you overpriced plastic drains. read more

I ordered a butcher block from Artisan Crafted's website. The block arrived bowed. It wobbles on a flat surface, even when a towel is placed beneath it. The defect is constantly noticeable. The block is simply not stable, especially for a product that's intended for cutting on. Artisan Crafted refused to guarantee paid return-shipping, even after VIDEO documentation of the wobble defect was provided within 18 hours of receipt. I was told by phone: "The warp and wobble are artisanal nuances, not defects - return shipping would only be covered after inspection of the returned item if deemed defective." This is despite my having provided video evidence of the defect right away. Terrible product and terrible company ethics. I should have purchased this item through an ethical company that stands by the quality of its merchandise and makes exchanges/returns EASY for defective items, especially when indisputable documentation of defects are provided right away. read more

CAUTION: I purchased a copper sink and range hood. The sink was fine. The hood was manufactured incorrectly, but this was not discovered until it was installed. I offered them a deal: a) to take it at a discount because my contractor would incurred extra costs OR; b) send me a new one and just pay for the contractor fees to take down the faulty unit (only $200!). They insisted on sending a new unit, which was made correctly. But they have stiffed me on the agreement to pay the $200 - saying it was my fault. They are "Middleman" brokers. They make nothing - all they do is sell other peoples stuff. But, ultimately, they do not stand behind their work or their word. Let the buyer beware. read more

Several years after purchasing specialty lighting and sinks for our custom home in Portland, OR we had a chance to visit their storefront in Langley, WA during a visit there last spring. Both - online and in-store - experiences were great and I'll be back for more! Their online selection of incredible artisan crafted sinks, lighting, etc is amazing, and customer service great and their shop is a treat with so many unexpected treasures. I ordered from this company in early December and received most of the gorgeous items in my order by Christmas, as intended. However, there was a back order from the artist, and Artisan Crafted was very slow to respond to repeated requests for updates on shipping. I finally gave up (in April) hoping to get the final item and requested a full refund which was granted - again after repeated requests for updates. This company carries beautiful and unusual items but their in-house customer service needs to learn to stay on top of orders and to respond in a timely way to customer requests. read more
