We had a wedding to go to in Atlantic City and decided to turn it into a nice long weekend but didn't want to be in AC. I stay at Wyndham properties a good amount so was drawn in by the charming exterior and typical peaceful surroundings that golf courses usually provide. Overall the hotel was quiet and cozy but you can tell the building has a lot of age to it inside even after the renovation a few years ago.--especially around the trim in the room and the public spaces. The caulking in the bathroom was gross and you could tell the bathroom renovation job was not holding up the best. The bed and linens were clean and comfy but the chair and couch has definitely seen better days. Light grey fabric really showed the dark stains. The A/C worked great, the Wi-Fi (while unsecured) was solid, and I appreciated that the TV had casting capability. Amenities like the fitness center, indoor pool, and the game room with 2 pool tables, poker table, and table tennis were fun activities on site. The outdoor pool was still closed for the season, but that's understandable. We also got 2 bottles of water each day. That said, a few things didn't quite hit the mark--especially for the price point. The self-parking setup is awful. While it is free it is set off from the building and walking to it involves crossing the active golf cart path. And let's just say... some people should not be driving golf carts. It's pretty clear the layout strongly encourages valet use. I feel snobby for status dropping but I need to mention that I have Wyndham Diamond and this is the first time I felt brand loyalty seemed pointless. I understand upgrades and perks that are advertised with status are based on property availability but I basically got nothing. This was the first time I couldn't even get the free late checkout 12PM check out (11AM standard) on a Monday but I could pay ~$50 for it. Didn't even get a welcome gift thats usually a small snack or something which is an appreciated small perk after traveling. All in all, the property and exterior of the hotel is well maintained and charming, and the amenities, while nothing spectacular, were nice parts of the stay. For how much it costs to stay here (Wyndham status or not) it was incredibly underwhelming, oddly inflexible. read more

The hotel is nice. The staff is very nice. And the foods pretty darn good. Honestly, the only issue I had was with the golf course. Now the golf course itself has a great layout, pretty forgiving fairways but what they don't tell you about are the deer flies and there are tons of them especially when you get back by the more swampy areas and they bite. it just feels like a mosquito bite and the good news is you don't have the itchy bump like a mosquito but they are annoying as hell and there is no warning about them. They don't tell you about it either when you show up so you can't prepare for it but. The only other negative is it rained, and the rain knocked out the television signal. I thought this was 2025 not 1980. I would recommend this place but spray with tons of off... read more

We needed somewhere to stay last minute and this was the closest hotel that booking.com found us that was decent. What we didn't know was that there was a golf tournament going on that weekend( we don't play golf) so we felt like outsiders being stared at by " golf people". It was very odd, there was nobody by the pool and we're talking the height of the summer last year. And the staff was less than friendly and the room that we paid over 250 for, was a very nice room but it was just a room it wasn't a suite and we didn't get the bathrooms promised in the ad. You can spend your money elsewhere and get a Jacuzzi even. read more

This place was beautiful, they have a big open area when you walk in with a piano and a bar. They have a banquet room you can rent for special occasions or even a work event. They have an inside pool and a little gift shop. The restrooms are big and clean. And the outdoor grounds are absolutely beautiful decorated with flowers and a fountain. They have valet parking at a cost or you can drive up around and park for free for self-parking. There are a lot of rooms it's definitely not a small place. The food is very good if you have them make it for the banquet. read more

Our foursome enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The omelets were delicious and the bacon was great. Pork sausage was a little mealy in my opinion and the fruit was good. The buffet includes juice and coffee so it's a good value. Sadly their dishwasher needs to be replaced!! The waitress spotted one coffee cup which she replaced but when we went to serve coffee a second one was dirty. We called the server who t removed it quickly but didn't replace it( although there were several at the next table she could have grabbed). Eventually we stole one ourselves. So service and cleanliness was average. This buffet is in a beautiful room with lots of light which has recently been redecorated. Valet parking was very nice and free( except for tip). read more

I would give a zero if I could. We went for a wedding, we had a large block of rooms. Many guests had difficulty with the front desk looking for early check in, they were curt and rude. Some of the rooms were not clean, hair in the tub and floor, crumbs or who knows what on the bed. Overall would not recommend. read more

We paid for an early check in ... upgraded to a Bay View room ... paid fora late check out .. we could not wait to Leave ! Also where was the delicious Bloody Mary station the advertise ? Woman upon check in smirked as she said pool is closed all weekend after I called prior to leaving gave no explanation and saw how upset we both were . We were taken to a room with a view of the outside pool covered.. how ironic n the parking lot !! By now I'm more than upset .. the porter Bob who is the only good thing g at the hotel went to the desk had them look again at what we paid for I had to Cather the wine glasses I asked for and taken to a room that overlooked the front entrance and the valet station with several parked cars n other cars coming and going! Where was the Bay View we paid for as we looked out to a dead tree n a glimmer peaking out of the bay !I wanted to leave and go stay at one of the casinos but we had an affair that night. We were given 2 free buffet breakfasts that they could of kept w stale bread , awful old pastries only thing good was the waffles PLEASE save your money and heartache and stay somewhere else . We were also planning on meeting with the wedding receptionist to set up an appointment to meet and talk but after this Nightmare that will Never happen!! First ever time we took the pooch with us to a hotel and they really made it easy. Separate parking for the ground floor pet friendly rooms saved the day. Indoor pool is open til 10 which is great if you're arriving in the evening. Beautiful grounds and the food somehow came out fresh and fast with just 2 servers working the front area. $1 wings were outstanding, clam chowder and short rib tacos. Sunday Brunch though. It's expensive but you get it all. We'll almost all. No waffles or pancakes but prime rib , omelette station , shrimp cocktail and crab claws , bagel n lox station , and those dessert mousse cups. I had 5 of em. They were small and too good to lay off. Customer service was attentive the whole time. (This visit was made during the times of Covidious in early July. When things return to a look of normality - your experience likely will vary.) This one was a true blast from the past in a good way. In a different lifetime I worked for Marriott and this hotel was a Marriott affiliated property which meant the ability to stay here in the off-season super cheap (this part of South Jersey is not exactly a happening place in December) or once in long while on a shoulder night like a Sunday in season. Fast forward many years, I work for a different hotel company and the Seaview has gone through multiple owners since that time and the property is now affiliated with Wyndham. First things first. A lot of the pictures of the rooms are no longer accurate. Any of that yellow-ish bedding/wallpaper is long gone and has been replaced with a lot more lighter tones that are less harsh. Compared to the last time I stayed here in 2008 or so the place looks a lot better. Sure, you could always pay to valet but that's not for me. The elevators are still old, slow and they have retained their lovingly odd musty smell. We were very nicely upgraded to one of the Parlour Suites without asking for it. I think this was in part due to our stay being in the middle of the week and the other being that the one person at the front desk was on the phone with the mother of the bride for a future wedding...for almost fifteen minutes while we stood there waiting. The room was nicely appointed and very clean. It had no view to speak of (rear loading ramp-trash compactor) and it also retained a few loving oddities like a bathroom door that wouldn't fully close due to a settled foundation the same as one of the closet doors and the non-stick coating on the tub was peeling off around the drain. I know for some people that would be appalling or horrific but I see that as just part of the experience with an older historical building. We didn't partake in any of their limited food offerings since inside dining in NJ is still a thing of science fiction and what they do offer currently is honestly not very interesting. She made planning in this beautiful historic location a breeze, was so helpful, and became one of my favorite people. The Seaview never disappoints, and this Mother's Day was no exception. The mimosas were flowing freely, and each mother got a lovely long stemmed rose as they entered the restaurant. The room was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and Mike, our server, was attentive, but not intrusive, making sure that we had a continuous supply of coffee, and water, and the promptly removed empty dishes from our table. Now to the food, the normal suspects were all in attendance, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, bagels, and lox. They had a great omelet station for the egg creation of your choice, along with freshly made pancakes, and Belgium waffles (the waffles were off the hook). In another separate room they had a small salad bar, and were serving three kinds of chicken, a fish dish, and a pork entree, they were carving a whole turkey, and the most delicious, melt in your mouth tender, fillet mignon, so good. Sides of mashed potatoes, rice, and gravies were there to round out your plate. This room also included the desert table with a nice assortment of pies, cakes, chocolate moose, cookies eclairs and some outrageously delicious filled chocolate beignets . Unfortunately I was to late to make reservations to come here for Easter Sunday, but I won't make that mistake next year, on a scale from 1-10 Seaview was a solid 10. read more

Played the Bay course in June 2022. The conditions were okay. They were setting up for the LPGA event which really took away from the course (which kind of surprised me). But all of that was forgivable. But the staff were just terrible. They were not friendly (save for one really tall guy with a beard). They almost came across as annoyed that we were there. We dropped $1000 on a round for four us and I felt like I was at a local muni. And at $250 a person we still had to pay for Range balls? That's just stupid. Course wasn't easy. Ended up in the tall grass a good bit. Views were beautiful. read more

I would definitely stay here again. I stayed here for a few days during a three week work trip. I really got to know the place and enjoyed it. The staff was super helpful and the hotel restaurant was amazing. The hotel restaurant was nice because there were so many great menu options that didn't make me feel like I was eating out every single night. The staff were very nice and I was actually impressed with the food for a hotel. There isn't full housekeeping which I would have liked. Didn't really clean the rooms daily just would replace toilet paper and take dirty towels. Had to ask for shower products multiple times because they weren't regularly restocked. Granted we had a dog and the rooms were really outdated and it felt like we were in the back of the hotel - in fact I know we were because they didn't even valet us and directed us to park our car behind the hotel. We had to park and unpack ourselves. The door to the hotel was not automatic. Extremely frustrating having to navigate with suitcases and dog. Also the hotel was in a weird location. I just love this hotel. It's so plush! So grand and inviting. Easy to get lost in the hotel...too many hallways, but it's still an imposing grand building. My double room had a huge powder room with a wall to wall mirror. Seemed like something out of 'Breakfast with Tiffany's'. The beds are so comfy and I slept off as soon as I got under the covers. I wish they had bedroom slippers though. Such a grand looking hotel should offer these. Dining: I did not eat here as I did not find the menu appealing and I am particular about food but this is my personal opinion. The only reason I am giving this a four star instead of a five was because the front staff were chatting and laughing to one another throughout my check-in process. Haven't been here a while, it was a Marriott property back then. Their golf course was great, but we didn't partake this time. Our group needed a comfortable place to bed down during the busy Labor Day weekend, without getting gauged. The two queen beds were very comfortable and rooms were clean. Beautiful facilities, but we didn't eat or drink here. Too many choices in AC. Their indoor pool was clean and large. Liked the heated water, our group liked it very much. Ritz C or Four Seasons, it's not. But it more fancier than the standard hotel room experience. Overall a good place, and comparably reasonable value. Would recommend, especially if you wanted to golf here. Their courses hold LPGA events. read more

Stayed for a few nights here recently and enjoyed my stay! First, the grounds are beautiful - I was very impressed when I drove up and that only continued as I walked through the hotel. Our room was gorgeous and while it wasn't the largest, everything was finished immaculately. One important side note - our toilet water randomly turned yellow for a day or two in the middle of our stay. I was a little concerned but did some Googling and learned it's probably just related to the pipes and not anything too disgusting :) My wife and I chose to stay here because of it being a 4 star hotel conveniently located near AC but not directly in the madness. We actually do not care about golf at all but I gathered that's why most people were present at the hotel, at least during the day :) The parking lot was completely full during the morning and afternoon and became relatively desolate by the evening time. I imagine a lot of people in the hotel use the valet service so that could help explain why so few cars remained by the end of the day (because most of the people who came during the day to play golf probably didn't spend the night). I did feel a little irritated that we had to compete for parking with a bunch of people who weren't even staying at the hotel (a separate lot would be nice!), but we always managed to find a spot, so I can't complain too much. Also, adding a few additional signs to guide new hotel guests to the parking lot would be helpful, as we found it a little challenging to find the lot initially :) Front desk staff were friendly for the most part, although nothing above and beyond. I didn't go to the outdoor or indoor pool but my wife hit up the former and said it was nice. The rec room was a nice touch - I love playing some table tennis and was entertained by the presence of a cornhole game. The ceilings were way too short! I hit the ceiling multiple times while throwing a few bags with my wife. Anyway, I can definitely imagine staying here again if I'm in the area and seeking a quiet retreat (with some gambling on the side). read more

Seaview told us room would be ready at 4pm. We get there at 4:10pm, we are told we are 6th in line for a room. I informed the lady that we had a wedding on the property at 5:15 to be at and I needed somewhere to get ready. they told me to go to the pool locker room. Ridiculous. They call us when we are already at the wedding to tell us our room is ready, over an hour later. we tell them we will see them after the reception. When I get to the desk at 11pm, a man with glasses told me he was "off duty" and waiting for his relief. He pretended to mess around on not one but two computers saying they wouldn't let him in. When his "relief" came, instead of checking us in promptly, she decided to spend 10 minutes getting the shift change low-down from glasses guy first. unbeliveable, we spent $375. never again. Although we didn't come to watch golf it was nice to see all the activity. The room we stayed at was compact but very tidy. On our last morning we had breakfast in the hotel which was great. This is a review of the Pines golf course, not the hotel. Course groundskeepers should be ashamed of themselves. This is supposed to be a high end public course? $85 to play on the most ragged looking course I have ever seen. Tee boxes in horrendous conditions as well as bunkers. Zero landscaping going on here. I've seen better conditions on a cheap public course at half the price. I also played the Bay course for double the price last year and was also disappointed. These courses living off reputation only at this point. That reputation will be going downhill very soon. If this was $40 with a cart I wouldn't complain. But don't charge premium prices in April for a garbage product. read more

The hotel was nice but the walls were very thin. My girlfriend and I had to endure hearing a drunk wedding party until 2 AM. They weren't yelling, just talking and it felt like they were in our room. Also after we checked out, I received an additional $20 charge on my card. When I called, I was told it was a hotel fee for the amenities like Wi-Fi. I was under the impression the $266 I paid included everything. It's only $20 but it felt like a bait and switch to me. If you're going to charge me the extra $20 regardless, why not make the reservation amount $20 more? read more

The Seaview Pines Golf Course is renowned as a prestigious and professional space. Given its respected reputation and close association with the PGA, my brother and I were eager to play there. We arrived today with high expectations for our golfing experience, but were immediately taken aback by our poor interactions with staff. Upon arrival, we met a cart attendant named Warren. We asked Warren about the check-in process. Rather than simply provide us guidance, Warren rolled his eyes and scoffed at us. In a rude and deeply unprofessional, sarcastic tone, Warren said: "The Club House, obviously." While our interaction with Warren was brief it left a lasting uncomfortable feeling with us that did not settle. Following his instructions, we walked inside and met an older staff member (whose name we were unable to learn). We were still in shock at Warren's dismissive attitude and unhelpful statement, so we informed this individual about it and asked if anything was going on that caused him to act like that. Confused, we asked if there was a manager we could speak to. But yet again, we received a rude and unprofessional answer. This staff member responded, "Well, Chris isn't here right now" and provided us with no further assistance. There was no explanation, apology, or even attempt to provide some clarity on the blatantly disrespectful interaction we had. Overall, we were deeply disappointed and hope that in the future Seaview Pines prioritizes training of its staff members to ensure respectful treatment of paying clients. Needless to say, we will not be visiting this golf course again and recommend you avoid it as well if you are looking to have an enjoyable golfing experience. read more

Review of Bay Course only: You know how when something was a thing a long time ago and you desperately try to hold on to it so tight that it slips away? That's this place. Here are 4 things that they try to sell you and my response now I have played the course. I got suckered into the advertising so I hope you don't fall into it. 1-PGA Championship in 1942, there's a reason it has never been back there or hosted any other majors like Bethpage, Baltustrol, etc 2- view of AC , granted AC is much better from afar, I give you that, but they don't mentioned the much closer and much louder view of Route 9 on way more holes than the view of AC. 3- Shoprite Classic, bless these ladies for playing in these conditions. At time of writing it's 65 days till the event, bravo to crew if they can get the grounds ready in time, it's going to take an army to pull the crab grass from the bunkers 4- Ross and Wilson architects. I'm a fan of the great architects and have been very fortunate to have played some of the best courses in the country, but folks, this is NOT Merion. Last couple of things, the cart attendant rattled off something well rehearsed when we started, something about a port-o-John somewhere on the course and something about a dogleg, clear he was just ushering us through the usual routine. There is no food out there, put up a hot dog stand or something. The course tees, fairways and greens are very close, if you spray it, yell FORE. Someone is going to get hurt. And lastly, to my fellow golfers, we all love the same game, but we have different tastes in music, your portable speaker should not be heard outside 5 ft from your cart. Needed a last minute hotel & decided to stay here, since we have stayed here in the past. The place is very big with a lot of rooms, ours was about 1/4 mile walk down 5 hallways lol. Anyway, the price wasn't bad & our deal included breakfast. The only reason I give this hotel a 3, is because is needs a total make over. It doesn't look like it's been upgraded since it open. Everything is old, rusty, a little smelly. Would be a fantastic hotel if they just upgraded it. Stayed here last week and our room was dirty. There was a plastic cup lip and ear plugs on the floor. There was no bottled water in our room for the coffee machine. We were also woken up at 8am because there was work being done near our room. Sticking with my 3 star review. The Mac and cheese could've been more flavorful but it was good in a "I'm watching my weight" kinda way. I booked this hotel through the Wyndham app. It said check-in was at 3:00, but as we arrived the front desk told us check-in wasn't until 4:00 and our room wouldn't be ready until 5:00 from the busy LPGA weekend. Our room was very nice but the cleaners were definitely rushed! We found used soap/shampoo in our shower and had to call housekeeping to get it cleaned. Overall the staff was very nice and the hotel was beautiful, but these individual issues were too much for me to recommend. read more

On the positive note: I was placed in one of the remodeled rooms, although paint odor hasn't fully evaporated the room was modern, comfortable and clear. So why the 2 star rating? I arrived at 4 PM on busy holiday afternoon. After spending 20 minutes online I was told that housekeeping is running behind and asked to come back in an hour. We returned 6PM another 30 minutes online I was checked in but was informed it will be another 30 minutes until my room was ready. We returned at 7:30 only to find the lobby in a complete chaos. There were kids crying, dogs howling, angry golfers trying to check in to make their dinner reservations. Turns out the computer system was down and front desk could not check guests in. Reception was giving an answer "there is nothing we can do". Since I was online I was able to get one of the first rooms at 8:30 when reception stated writing down names and credit cards on paper to get a key. I walked through the lobby an hour later to only find similar chaos I experienced few hours earlier. The hotel was completely unprepared to deal with system outage and because of it has ruined our evening plans. What could have been an amazing stay turned into an evening of frustration. read more
