THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Probably the best hotel in Absecon, hands down! + The entire hotel was renovated a few years ago and still looks relatively new. + Very, very clean and spacious rooms. Bathroom was huge with a large shower. + Extremely well-put together complimentary hot breakfast (6 - 9:30 AM daily) in the morning with veggie omelets, sausages, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cereals, muffins, bagels, breads, pancake maker, oatmeal, HOT cinnamon buns, juices, sealed bottled milks, yogurts. + Breakfast dining area is spacious and has plenty of tables, but can get pretty busy in the mornings. + Decent size pool on the 1st floor. + Small gym on the 1st floor. + Large private parking lot. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Not much! Our overall stay was excellent! RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = The hotel consist of 2 towers connected via a walkway on the 1st floor with the pool and gym located along the walkway.

From reception, pantry, coffee, gym, pool, even guest laundry (coin machines that WORK!).....to the rooms cleanliness and layout/vibe, location of ice machines. And the included full breakfast is always amazing, of course. Side doors are key-accessible 24/7 and very close to the parking spaces, which I really appreciate on dark late nights! They have just thought of it ALL! My 2nd stay here, and I will ALWAYS choose this property over anywhere else in the AC area! That includes the high end Casino hotels where almost NONE of these amenities are included. 10-15 minute easy drive to the Casinos. Convenient to many retail options (convenience stores, food, etc.)

We had a wedding to go to in Atlantic City and decided to turn it into a nice long weekend but…read moredidn't want to be in AC. I stay at Wyndham properties a good amount so was drawn in by the charming exterior and typical peaceful surroundings that golf courses usually provide. Overall the hotel was quiet and cozy but you can tell the building has a lot of age to it inside even after the renovation a few years ago.--especially around the trim in the room and the public spaces. The caulking in the bathroom was gross and you could tell the bathroom renovation job was not holding up the best. The bed and linens were clean and comfy but the chair and couch has definitely seen better days. Light grey fabric really showed the dark stains. The A/C worked great, the Wi-Fi (while unsecured) was solid, and I appreciated that the TV had casting capability. Amenities like the fitness center, indoor pool, and the game room with 2 pool tables, poker table, and table tennis were fun activities on site. The outdoor pool was still closed for the season, but that's understandable. We also got 2 bottles of water each day. That said, a few things didn't quite hit the mark--especially for the price point. The self-parking setup is awful. While it is free it is set off from the building and walking to it involves crossing the active golf cart path. And let's just say... some people should not be driving golf carts. It's pretty clear the layout strongly encourages valet use. I feel snobby for status dropping but I need to mention that I have Wyndham Diamond and this is the first time I felt brand loyalty seemed pointless. I understand upgrades and perks that are advertised with status are based on property availability but I basically got nothing. This was the first time I couldn't even get the free late checkout 12PM check out (11AM standard) on a Monday but I could pay ~$50 for it. Didn't even get a welcome gift thats usually a small snack or something which is an appreciated small perk after traveling. All in all, the property and exterior of the hotel is well maintained and charming, and the amenities, while nothing spectacular, were nice parts of the stay. For how much it costs to stay here (Wyndham status or not) it was incredibly underwhelming, oddly inflexible.

The hotel is nice. The staff is very nice. And the foods pretty darn good. Honestly, the only issue…read moreI had was with the golf course. Now the golf course itself has a great layout, pretty forgiving fairways but what they don't tell you about are the deer flies and there are tons of them especially when you get back by the more swampy areas and they bite. it just feels like a mosquito bite and the good news is you don't have the itchy bump like a mosquito but they are annoying as hell and there is no warning about them. They don't tell you about it either when you show up so you can't prepare for it but. The only other negative is it rained, and the rain knocked out the television signal. I thought this was 2025 not 1980. I would recommend this place but spray with tons of off...

*****THIS IS A LONG READ*****…read more This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I must say, my check-in experience was horrible! This is my birthday weekend, so I came alone for a little R&R and self-care. I did not expect to be treated as horribly as I was! I arrived about 3:30 and went to the kiosk for express check-in, only to realize I had left my wallet in my car. I went over to the bell hop desk, where I was nicely greeted by Mario, to ask if I could leave my belongings there while I went to retrieve my wallet. Mario explained to me that he could hold my things, but had to grab a cart for them and give me a ticket as standard protocol. While I waited for him to return, the most RUDE, NASTY, ARROGANT, IMPOLITE, IGNORANT male comes to me yelling, "MA'AM YOU CAN'T LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE!" I told him to calm down and stop talking to me like that! I then tried explaining the situation to him, and what Mario told me, but before I could finish, he cut me off and yells... "Well he's new! That's why he told you to leave your stuff here! I'M THE BELL CAPTAIN! HE SHOULD'VE CAME AND GOT ME! YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE, YOU NEED A TICKET!" I asked him why he was yelling! There was no need for that, especially if I'm not speaking to him that way! He replies while flailing his arms around, "OH HERE WE GO! HERRRRRE WE GO!" I tried again to explain that Mario had already told me that, but Mr. "Bell Captain" who I later found out name is Saleem, was so bent on letting me know his position that he couldn't even hear what I was saying. Mario then comes back with the cart, and he proceeds to yell at Mario! "DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN! WHO AM I??? WHO AM I ??" Mario and another Bellman quietly says, "Bell Captain." He then says, "YEAH SO THAT'S WHY Y'ALL CHECK WITH ME FIRST!" I stepped in and told him that if he's a real leader, he doesn't have to blast who he is, (not to mention it was on his name tag) and he should not be embarrassing his employees publicly. He could have talked to him in the back and let him know what he did wrong. I didn't need to see that! I also told him, I'm not sure if he's having a bad day, but there was no reason for him to behave this way! He starts yelling...again...."I'M GREAT! ALL MY BILLS ARE PAID! I GOT MONEY IN THE BANK! I'M GOOD!" I don't understand what that had to do with anything but whatever. He then went back to yelling about him being the Bell Captain and what the protocol was for me leaving my stuff there. CLEARLY he missed that Mario did the right thing from the beginning! Mr. Bell Captain just felt the need to power trip in that moment for whatever reason. I told him he needed to listen and not interrupt when someone is speaking because he would have known that it was handled correctly! He put his hand up and says, I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU!" I looked at Mario, thanked him for helping me and told him he did nothing wrong. This situation made me so angry that I burst into tears! To add insult to injury, after all the drama, I was waiting for over an hour to get my belongings because SOMEONE put the incorrect room number in the system. I found that out because I had to go back down to the lobby to see what was going on with my things. I was late for my dinner reservation, and my night was pretty much ruined. I couldn't fully enjoy my dinner the way I'd hoped to. I actually cried while at the restaurant because I was still so frustrated with how everything had gone. Not only did I come here to rest and relax, I came her to try and release some of my grief from the loss of my Baby Brother. Hopefully my spa experience will be much better. Shout out to "T" whom I believe was the Operations Manager. He helped me calm down and agreed to address Saleem and the issue. However, I wanted this situation to be documented. NOBODY should ever be able to get away with mistreating ANYONE no matter their position. I WILL be pursuing this further until I'm satisfied with the outcome.

We arrived pretty late and the check-in line was long, but it moved quickly so that was a plus. First thing to note: the casino definitely smells like a full-on cigarette campaign, so just be prepared for that. Aside from that, there are tons of options for food, shopping, and of course plenty of ways to gamble. The staff was nice across the board, and the bartenders were especially friendly and made us some great drinks. We stayed one night and the room was huge, easily enough space for four people in a standard room. The bathroom was really nice, and there's a mini fridge in the room which is always convenient. Parking is not complimentary, so keep that in mind. The pool was closed (not sure why), which was a little disappointing. But overall, it's a nice casino, reasonably priced for a quick trip, and I'd definitely visit again. Bonus points for being both dog-friendly and kid-friendly.

Room decor could use an upgrade to look more modern & chic like the rooms in MGM Tower. Casino is massive! Tons of slot machines and a good amount of tables. Depending on the area, cocktail waitresses come through often, and drinks are free while you gamble. For MGM Rewards, they are offering a tier match to other casinos! Food wise, there's a decent amount of options but I do wish there were more late night options. Casino has a fancy, clean feel. Location wise, it's a bit farther away from the outlets and other casinos by the boardwalk/beach.

We have stayed often and we are used to clean well prepared rooms so this was a real disappointment. The room was not cleaned properly at all. There was debris on the floor and my husband found an opened half empty bottle of beer left in the refrigerator. The counters were not cleaned well and they appeared spotty and dull. It was clear the room had not been serviced with care. The sheets were changed and clean but the overall condition of the room did not reflect the quality we have consistently received in the past. I want to be fair because we usually enjoy our stays here but this was not acceptable and it raises concerns about the cleaning process. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future guests can have the level of cleanliness and comfort we have always appreciated here.

I don't carry cash with me, so the Muslim guy at the front desk said I'd have to use an ATM which would charge an astronomical fee for a cash advance on your credit card. It does NOT cost anything for the hotel to put a hold on a card for incidentals. This is the only hotel I've ever been to which has asked for a cash deposit. I did not end up staying, and the gentleman refused to allow Orbitz to call him to issue a refund which is possible to do and make an exception when booking through a 3rd party. The gentleman (in the picture) was extremely rude and would not provide his name either so I knew who I spoke to. I asked if he was the owner or manager, but he refused to say. As I was leaving he shouted "fuck you." Update: Orbitz did try contacting on my behalf and spoke to the gentleman in the picture whose name is Ali. I completely lost my money. If I were running a hotel and someone didn't want to stay, I'd gladly grant the refund so long as they didn't check into the room. Thank you Ali for stealing my money. It does not cost the company anything to put an incidental hold on your credit card; it is a temporary authorization that reserves a portion of your available credit for potential incidental charges, such as mini-bar snacks or room service, which reduces your available credit. The company is essentially just flagging funds to ensure they are available should you accrue these extra charges, and they don't incur fees for placing this hold. A hotel should NEVER require a cash deposit. It should always be on a card. That does not cost the hotel OR the guest anything. Forcing someone to use an ATM to incur an astronomical fee is unfair to the guest.

My friend helped me bring things into the room and the front desk manager called me saying my friend needed to present an ID and pay. That makes no sense given he was only staying for a second to help me. He was not staying the night. Manager said "I don't care, I need his ID." So after being in the room for 5 minutes, we left. Red flag #1. The room was filthy and disgusting. Definitely not worthy of staying. The once blue floor was black with dirt and grime. There was used gum on the headboard of the bed also. The shower had mold, which is a huge health risk. Also none of the lights worked. They were unplugged for some reason, then after I plugged them back in, still did not work. Brought this up with the hotel manager and he brushed me off, basically saying I don't know how to work a light switch. Newsflash, I tried both the switches on the wall and on the lamps themselves. Of course I know how to work a light-switch. Very condescending man that works there and tries to make you feel stupid and blames you for the state of a room I spent less than 20 minutes in total. Red flag #2 Decided not to stay there and moved to the Days Inn up the road. Manager did not want to give me a refund. I said Im not staying in a filthy room like that with no working lights, rusty refrigerator and microwave, mold, dirt and grime everywhere. Not worth my piece of mind to stay in a place like that. Manager was real nasty when I said I'm not staying there, while also trying to put blame on me. Red flag #3 Not worth the trouble. There are much better places to stay. I'm surprised this place isn't shut down. I'm sure it's violating health codes. DO NOT STAY HERE. Trust me. Your sanity will thank you. Very negative experience. Bad vibes all around.
