This hotel is in the process of renovations. That was a good sign to see. The updated fixtures,carpeting etc are what made this a 3.5 out of 4. I couldnt give it a 4 because I wasnt able to use my digital room key. They did have cookies at the front desk not sure about the bottled water. Our overnight stay was ok. Room was clean, bathroom sliding door didn't lock. Only really slept and breakfast the next day anyway. Breakfast til 10am. Checkout at noon. Make-your-own waffles had red velvet flavor and was pretty good. The hot food in the warmers didn't stay warm though. Hot beverage station 24 hours. Location is on a busy road with a few hotels/motels, grocery, other stores nearby. Around 12-20 min drive to the Atlantic City casinos. read more

Normally I wouldn't do an update so soon to my last ramblings as most hotels usually don't change that much over time, but what the hell. So the biggie is that the room we were given is definitely showing some age and a lack of maintenance PM-ing. The track for the sliding barn door for the bathroom is starting to rust and the door only moves on the track if you really put your back into it, the toilet seat was almost completely detached from the bowl, one of the corner guards in the bathroom is almost off the wall and the plastic O-ring around the shower head was ripped off the wall which means that the actual water pipe moves around a lot/way too easy. The breakfast was also a little shaky. The red potatoes were underdone by a few minutes and the turkey sausage links overdone and dried out by a few minutes. They also removed some breakfast seating that existed prior which I guess I could understand when the state had mandated pandemic restrictions but those are long gone and I've been to plenty of other Hampton locations/Hilton hotels where all breakfast/lobby seating was returned to normal a long time ago. There is still more than enough parking even on a busy weekend and the location is still good enough where you are close to the Expressway, the Parkway, NJT's Absecon train station along with some chain slop dining and the ever present A.C. Some of the other reviews for this place are fairly clueless and context free but understand that at the end of the day it's only a Hampton Inn. Sure there are some Hamptons that masquerade as resorts if it was built in a beachfront surrounding or as a full service property if it was built in an urban large city but at the core it is only a limited service property operating in the current hospitality environment where staffing has been permanently reduced which leads to what I wrote about. Lower/correct your expectations and this Hampton should be more than good enough. read more

I loved my stay here, no complaints. Check in was simple and easy. I'm a Hilton honors member so I checked in on the app and got my digital key. I did also request two extra keys at the front desk, which was granted. I was able to check in early around 12:30 pm which was great. The room was clean. The bathroom was spacious. I was nervous about making the reservation because you can never tell what a hotel is really like from a photo. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. When I arrived to my room I received a text from the staff asking if I was happy with my room. My room was spotless, comfortable, newly renovated. Breakfast was great for a hotel like this and it was high on protein which is necessary for me as I am a diabetic. I could not believe the quality of this hotel for the extremely reasonable cost. The level of customer service at your establishment is deplorable. I imagine your standards are lower or your business model is challenged but this is NOT the way to run an establishment. It's misrepresenting and literally insulting to the customers. I recently stayed at your hotel and had the unfortunate need to ask for help. You see we had traveled as a family and were looking forward to using your pool. We quickly found out that your advertised pool is in fact NOT your part of your resort. That kids were NOT allowed to use it and that your pool where kids are supposedly welcome (according to your website) is actually closed for repairs and only seasonal. Yes see that part wasn't mentioned in your website. When we did try to address it with your desk we were dismissed at first then told the manager was busy and when she finally did arrive she was defensive and demanding instead of warm and understanding. Disgusting / then she chose to share that moment with other guests and employees. We will never return to any of the Caesar's properties. We will continue to discourage anyone that ever wants to come here and we will revisit this review site regularly to keep your consumers educated. Extremely dissatisfied customers!! read more

Clean hotel and large rooms. However, this property hosted a large biker group over a 3 day period and did not post it on their website/app. Even thought the bikers were respectful, there were so many, they overran the place, drinking liquor and beer, and a live band played in the parking lot for 4 hours. Not a quiet, comfortable at all. Can't believe the hotel hosted a biker event event charging over $250 for general public. Events shouldn't be hosted by a hotel unless it's closed to the general public. Disappointed. read more

I love the new option to get the digital key and select the room via the app because we always do late check in. But...since you can't see the room's maintenance problems from the app I am going to need the Hilton to be sure to leave these types of rooms off the available list. This room had a big crack in the corner from the top to the bottom. There was a rug tile loose in the middle of the floor(yep tripping hazard). The glass in the microwave didn't appear to fit because it kept falling off the turner which made a lot of bumping noise. Then the toilet paper holder was broken. This hotel is a dump and does not look like the pictures it has on its website. First impression is the parking lot which is overgrown with weeds and run down. Then you walk into a front desk that is fully enclosed in desk to ceiling plexiglas not a Covid protection but rather for safety/security. The lobby is also very dirty with broken floor tiles. The electrical components for the elevator are broken or missing. Finally, the room was not clean including human hair on the pillows, electrical outlets moved when trying to plug something in as well as not holding the plug in the socket. We were booked for a Friday and Saturday night. Got in late on Friday night so stayed there but looked to cancel the Saturday night reservation but had to talk to the manager. Tried contacting the manager several times when he was supposed to be there, but each time was "not" there and we were told to try again at another time. If you are looking for a hotel that is clean and you feel safe in, pass on this hotel as it is not worth it even though it cheaper than some of the others in Atlantic City. You are getting less than you pay for with this hotel. read more

We stayed here one night for a wedding. The room itself was Pretty good and was clean. However, I have stayed in various other Hampton Inns while traveling including South Carolina, Maryland, Maine and Rhode Island and each of those were what I would consider pretty luxurious hotels - this hotel was far from that. The hotel does allow pets which may be why there is a constant odor in the hallways and in the rooms although it just seemed like there was dampness in the air. While they were booked out, refused to attempt to accommodate any early check in. This is the first time I've had a hotel flat out refuse to discus an early check in even up until noon on the day of arrival (this despite the fact check out was at 11am). They kept stating that they could not advise about early check in until the day of because they were fully booked. But, common sense tells you that you know which rooms are due to check out and you should have a fairly good idea how many will be available if check out is known to be 11am. Absolutely ridiculous policy when you know guests are traveling and confirming a late check in at 12 noon when traveling from distance is pretty much useless. Overall it did the job but it was definitely far from the quality I have come to expect from other Hampton Inn hotels which are my favorite chain hotel. I guess I can no longer assume they all have the same standards. read more

By far, the best Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at. I'm in town for a wedding at The Carriage House. Thankfully it popped up on the Hilton app as an option. The front desk staff was very polite, professional, expeditious and genuine. I check in close to 10pm and they were the happiest night crew I've experienced. I believe their names were Sara, Xena (probably spelled it wrong) and Charlie. The rooms are very clean. Bathroom was very nice. Their curtains are black out curtains. Standard room appliances. THEIR BREAKFAST! They had several different options! They had a juice/smooth bar (premade and in individual plastic to go cups). Waffle station with fruit and chocolate toppings. Several types of yogurt, pastries and cereal. It was also a plus they had to go boxes for this wanting to grab and go. Much more efficient and easy than carrying plates. read more

Stayed here for 3 nights for a mini vacation. Everything was reasonably clean and neat and well maintained. Free breakfast had a good selection. 24 hour coffee bar off the lobby was a great tasting extra. My only complaint is, the room rug felt wet to my bare feet, and after walking on it, the bottom of my feet were very dirty. After noticing this, I wore shoes and/or socks. The white socks were almost black from it. Every employee I encountered, was happy and courteous. Special shoutout to Cameron at the front desk, the 3pm to 11pm shift. He was a delight to deal with, no matter the reason. Another employee at the front desk who was courteous, was Bhavik. My only suggestion would be at least another smoking pole and bench, and to move the existing one away from the front entrance. The purpose of these stations is to avoid offense, so having it right near the front entrance where the smoke would enter the lobby every time the front door opens, to me, defeats the purpose. Arriving and departing guests also would be walking through smoke, if the area is in use. My opinion as a smoker. All in all, this hotel, was worth the cost. read more

I only gave 1 star because I had to. My disgust is mostly with Hilton in general but this is where we stayed so here is the review. 1. The Hilton advertises a discount for nurses for 25% off and I was told a manager would "let me know" and they allege they don't offer one. I was only told this after I called customer service who opened a ticket on my behalf. 2. The pool was allegedly "under maintenance" for the entire weekend but I went and looked and no such maintenance was being done. 3. I called as soon as we got home the day we checked out and my daughter had left her basically brand new Columbia jacket in the room closet. They alleged it was not there and would call me back. Only after I escalated this to the Hilton customer service was I called back and told it "was not there." I will not patronize another Hilton property until this is rectified. Don't advertise one thing and not offer it, especially to a nurse who has worked during the entire pandemic. Also, I consider my daughters jacket stolen now by the staff. Disgraceful. Update: customer service is also refusing to assist in rectifying this matter nor has anything been offered comparable to the 25% discount and cost of my daughter's coat. I requested it be sent to a supervisor. I hate to be a "Karen" but I am really disappointed. read more

Yes, this is "just" a Hampton Inn, but it's a new and really well kept one, and so far the staff have been very friendly. Looks newly remodeled. Check-In staff (Sid) was VERY pleasant. Had our stuff waiting on us, helpful with pointing out property amenities and directions. He was also back when we checked out and just as nice. Room was spacious, very modern and attractive. Both bed and sofa bed were large and comfortable. Room (405) was spotless. Bathroom was clean, big and well laid out. Fridge, microwave and Tv were all great and used them all. AC was COLD (though couldnt adjust it from the wall unit, but worked fine from the controls on the front). Outlet pods in each side of the bed kicked ass. This is one hotel that is doing their absolute best during Covid to keep everyone safe. Every time we went into the lobby there was someone cleaning! Everyone wore masks and adhered to the social distancing guidelines where ever we went. The manager, Zina Rose, went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She is the reason this Hampton Inn is running so well. The free hot breakfast was real eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, hot waffles, yogurt, fresh fruits, cereals and more. It was NOT a buffet (due to the pandemic) but everything was made to order and bagged in convenient to-go containers. Coffee and tea were available all day long and that is always appreciated. We also signed-up to use the pool and were very happy with the temperature & cleanliness. The hospitality and cleanliness rivals any 5 star hotel because it is everything you need to a get good night sleep (comfy beds) and close enough to all the area attractions like Cape May, Ocean City, Atlantic City and great seafood restaurants. We made a reservation for may 31 this year, it was a free room for healthcare workers, there were only 3 cars in the parking lot, they gave us a room in the last floor and had bed bugs, i informed the person in the front desk and they offered us another room but my family did not feel comfortable staying there, needed a gateway with family for stressful times at work and ended up in this. read more

The stay at this hotel was decent. It was not horrible but it was not the best I have stayed at. I'll list the pros and cons. Pros: Checkin was smooth and staff was friendly. It was cool using the digital key from my smartphone but then the drawback was bringing my phone down to the pool. The room seemed new and it was clean. Wifi worked well with multiple devices. Pool was a comfortable temperature. Cons: The carpet was a light color which showed all the stains. The breakfast was not the best. The counter area was small and the food could not get replaced fast enough. It was a feeding frenzy. Location was still a little ways from Atlantic City. If I came back to Atlantic City I would probably fork over the extra money to stay on the boardwalk. But being a first timer, this hotel did fulfill its needs. Very nice hotel! Approximately 20 miles from downtown Atlantic City and the beach this Hampton Inn was almost perfect for our weekend getaway. From the moment we checked into the moment we left we felt right at home. They have their own private parking lot, and since it is at downtown no parking fees. It's backed up towards what appears to be a marsh, so it's somewhat secluded and the area was very quiet. The rooms were spacious, clean, and decorated in a cute beach theme. The breakfast served at Hampton Inns are very good too. They have everything from eggs to bacon to waffles two fruits to cereals to oatmeal and more. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you plan on going to Atlantic City. read more

So disappointed. We stayed here for an EDP College Showcase. At check-in, they made us sign a contract stating that we won't congregate in the lobby, drink alcohol, have our 15 year old daughters walk around by themselves, etc.... or else our entire team will be charged $250 per family!!!! They put a $250 hold on all of our credit cards. We were being punished because a previous team of 10 year old boys trashed their hotel. How is that our problem? After our 2nd game, we had nowhere to hang out as a team. It was so upsetting! The hotel smelled worse than the inside of my daughter's soccer bag on a hot summer day, our toilet flushed louder than a food disposal, the bathroom was dirty, the rugs were from the year 1923, there were burn marks in our outlet, some outlets didn't work, the high top chairs in the lobby were more wobbly than a baby deer's legs when learning to walk, and I didn't want to touch the fabric- gross! I Did give 1 star because the breakfast food was decent and they are dog friendly. I would never stay at that Hampton Inn nor any other Hampton INN EVER AGAIN. read more

Honestly it's not that it's a terrible place. Its just not great either. I wish that the Hamptons would stop being so cookie cutter and gets the little bit of personality. My husband and I always stay at Hilton's but this will be the last Hampton after this trip. At least on the East Coast. The breakfast area is literally a Feeding Frenzy of people trying to get just that little extra something something. Several people kept asking for towels out at the pool and they brought out 5. Pool it self was decent however it's indoor typical of East Coast so you have to get past the chlorine smell. Rooms aren't bad. read more

The room smelled of cleaning chemicals upon arrival. The shower head is not connected to the wall. The AC unit never turns off on it's own. The cleaning crew will make as much noise as you can imagine. And if it's 2:30pm the front desk say's they have to make that much noise. I can't recommend or will I ever stay here again. Sorry most Hampton Inns are good that is why I am gold 30!nights this year platinum last over 40 nights . They keep having these poor run hotels I will find another chain to stay at. First off whose idea was it to put white carpet in the halls. Yes I know the carpet is dirty so don't use white so I can see the stains. Again in the room change the color of the carpet so I think it is clean. Breakfast just sucked! And really the coffee is the worst. I stayed at this hotel for 1 night with my family, we places a reservation a week before coming in. We get here saturday afternoon . We reserved 3 rooms and payed for before getting here. We get here they tell us at the moment they can accomodate us in 2 rooms while they get a third room ready for us. While we were waiting we overheard managment say they don't have a room, but obviously they didn't tell us that they beg is for some extra time to find a room similar to the one we reserved. As we are waiting we try to make a reservation for the pool and is all booked out, the day before I called to ask if the pool was open, and they said I am only able to reserved upon check in. I understand that is hard for everybody during these times , but the fact we reserved the rooms a week ahead, and it wasn't ready. As soon as they were able to get our third room all sorted out after 3 hours of waiting, we go in the room and it stinks like cigarette. We go to the receptionist and tell them that we have an incident with the room it stinks like cigarettes, and the manager tell us it is impossible they get an alert when smoke is in a room. However they didn't this time. So we tell them we have kids with asthma we can't stay in the room and they try to accommodate us into a king size bedroom with 1 bed and the couch, instead of the queen size bedroom which we had previously reserved. We stay at Hamptons inn all the time , my family and I love them for the pool and the amazing service. However this time the Hamptons inn quality wasn't there. read more
