Great space, great staff, great time!…read more I had the pleasure of hosting a work event at Cathedral and had a wonderful time planning and executing with their team! The space itself is lovely and versatile, providing a unique value proposition for the size of space and delivering on quality across the board. Liz and Nate were very helpful throughout the evaluation and planning process and Shane was a terrific day of partner in helping put on our party. It's also great to work with folks dedicated to the community in such a tangible way (they are a nonprofit and support other similar organizations as well). Would highly recommend these folks and I hope to have the chance to come back in the future!

This venue is exceptional for so many reasons: not only is it a non-profit venue, but they light over 100 candles for your event and provide so many things that you would typically need to rent at other venues (chairs, tables, glassware, etc.). Also there are so many things for your guests to do in downtown Ballard if your wedding is mainly out-of-town guests like ours was. Nate and the team were so kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to spend our special day at Cathedral Ballard - it was truly so special!!! :)

No heating elements necessary on this day as it was hot and humid in this early afternoon. I was impressed by their board that lists everything on tap with ABV and IBU as well as prices for all ranges of sizes that they offer. They had 2 stout options and I tried a 5 oz. Extra Loud Irish Stout Nitro ($3.50). Lady bartending was friendly enough and answered questions well, although my 5 oz was 4 oz of foam when she handed it to me, so patience before drinking was necessary. If you like Guinness, it very much reminded me of that, although I prefer my stout more sweet and less coffee-esque.

There is an ATM machine that takes a physical credit/debit card to withdraw cash to exchange for quarters but I'm guessing they'll charge a fee. Check their open hours online. In general, all ages are welcome until 8pm. Beer, cider, non-alcoholic drinks are available and a few other goodies. Including 2 groovy bathrooms on site that are of course covered with stickers. Gorgeous new place on the block!!…read more Stunning new event space right in south lake union/ downtown with sweeping lake union views. Views alone were worth a trip or 4!! Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. My pup baci's favorite too. Luxe Photo Booth: this one was so fun! The 360 Photo Booth!! I've seen them in Time Squares recently as well as at a valentines event. But this one was so much more fun as I didn't have to wait in line or fight the crowd for it. The person that was running it was super friendly and helpful too. The jazz musician was pretty rad too. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. I'm only going to events with valet from now on! Ok thanks. Overall, this was such a fun place.I came to check out the space: left with all the food and fun.The space, the team, the design, the music!! And that Photo Booth: all are essential part of throwing an epic event. All events should be this fun!! I guess they will be if you throw them here: weddings, birthdays, corporate events, sweet 16th. I wouldn't mind coming here for a photoshoot: hello contents!!Or just a fun anything event.Did I mention the views?? Ahh the possibilities!!!

And it was extremely important to my husband to find a venue that was private and didn't have strangers walking around. We looked at nearly every venue in the greater Seattle area but nothing resonated with us. Then we found the Admiral's House. It is extremely private (no neighbors to bother), it is has a jaw dropping view (Downtown, The Bay, The Marina, Rainer), and it provides you will a cozy indoor/outdoor space you can completely personalize You do need a planner to throw an event here. Not only does Admiral's House's contract require it, but it's truly a blank slate so you'll want a professional to organize everything you'll need to bring in, setup, and breakdown. It's not a huge space, but we comfortably fit a tent seating 120 and a dance floor in the front yard. Bill, who is the main contact at the property is extremely helpful, flexible, and willing to accommodate. We strongly recommend The Admiral's House to anyone looking for a homey, unique wedding with a stunning Seattle backdrop.
