Last stop before flying out of Seattle, and what a great stop it was. As an Invited Clubs member I was disappointed that the Tower was closed. The great thing is that it led me to the Collective. I was surprised that it wasn't hopping the Friday night I visited, because it is such a beautiful space. Plenty of seating area, large bar area, and even a Patio that gives you a view of the Needle. Service was great, but a little "slow" only because of the lighter crowd/staffing demands. I think if there were a heavier load that day, that it wouldn't have been an issue. I asked for some suggestions to try, and I tried things that I normally wouldn't. I forget the "official" of it, but the Ostrich tar ta appetizer was AMAZING and a must try if you want to be daring. The Elk Chop with the fried mac was savory, and the cookie was decadent and fattening...lol. (especially when they hooked me up with 4 more for the flight. the perks of dining before closing) Unexpected "treasure?" The bathroom. It was clean, different and co ed? I've seen gender neutral, but not coed/mixed use. I thought that was an upgraded touch and it was very clean. I look forward to dining there again the next time I'm in Seattle. read more

We had a fantastic experience at The Collective during their Dining in the Dark event! It was my first time visiting this club as a long time Invited Club member. The staff was incredible and went the extra mile to accommodate us. The customer service was excellent. My friend and I ordered the vegetarian option for the Dining in the Dark experience. We had so much fun (as did the other people dining, it made for a fun group experience)! We had a pasta with fresh corn, peas and zucchini as a starter course. Our main dish was a vegetarian sausage jambalaya with okra. We both ordered non-alcoholic drinks, my friend got a Golden Hour non-alcoholic mixed drink and I had a NA Fremont IPA. We were treated like family and my friend messaged me the next day to say how much fun it was. I'll return to The Collective for future events as well as co-officing in the day time! read more

Wonderful space to have Thursday dating and SoFar sounds singles event! Enough space to sit or wander around, indoors and outdoors. Drink menu was unique and the food was good. The carne asada nachos could have a bit more meat, and the space could have had a better system with paying for food and drink during an event. The line got pretty long and people weren't really sure what person to go to in order to put in their food and drink order and then pay. Overall, would definitely come to another event here or even just come to work on my laptop. read more

very beautiful place with the intimately dim lighting and unique decorations on the walls to the ceilings. I like that they had books and board games available, but maybe that is expected of social clubs? This is my first time at one. Platform where the host of the event could speak to all guests. I truly loved the atmosphere of this place. But...the food? It felt like potluck food that they got last minute at the grocery store. I did come here for the "Dining in the Dark" event and I was not impressed at all. On top of it, I had to pay a mandatory $16 service fee for the staff there. Staff that took my dishes before I said that I was finished...staff that could not take clear photos though they said that they can...staff that had no chemistry intheid crowd work and reminded me of an elementary schooler onstage for the first time ever to do public speaking on a diorama project that their parents likely made. genuinely a disappointing time and I hope that the service fees get put into use with more social training, table etiquette, etc for the staff. She was part way opening it when the host ask us to take a seat in the restaurant. We said it would be just a second and he said, "that is something you can do after diner and ordered us to follow." There were no crowds, we were holding no one up. We sat and were offered one bite of some potato wedge thing. This was before the blind folds. Whatever it was barely edible. Then came the blind folds. It was a salad of arugula, blue cheese, pears, curry with a red wine based dressing. Probably good for those that enjoy arugula. So that dish gets a pass. The main course was devoid of flavor. Basic meat product. Edible but not good. The risotto base was good. Dessert was a chocolate moose. Quite certain purchased at a low end grocery store and served with the pretense as if it were made on site. It had two bites. I was done eating. I was not hungry even though I really ate verly little. Food made me lose my appetite. The host that chastised us for opening a present also introduced each course. He read a script from his cell phone. It was obvious he had not read it before. It was awkward. We were taken there as guests of another couple. They spent a small fortune for the worst meal we have ever had together. That being said, the blind fold part kept us laughing. It was a lot of fun being silly. That part of the night was fun. What was odd, when dessert was over there were no more drinks. It was, basically, get out. Literally, it was the same as a movie ending. You just leave. What a missed opportunity for this company. Serve good food, have courteous host, have the host actually know the script and they would be way more successful. I know very little of this company. It appears all over. From the moment we stepped inside, the experience felt elegant, upscale and luxurious. Everyone was elegantly dressed and deeply immersed in their conversations, as they celebrated Valentine's Day. Beautifu; decor and live soothing music The fine dining experience was wonderful and high-class, perfectly embodying luxury for a reasonable price. We spent $227 and felt it was worth every penny. The chef's skill was evident in the subtle yet delicious flavors of the food, which made us eager to try more items from the menu. The staff was extremely accommodating. The atmosphere here was perfect for the opening night of our Valentine's Day weekend celebration. the lighting is sultry and moody. They hosted a spoken word event here that was coordinated perfectly. I think I got a new bartender or a barback who wasn't familiar with making mixed drinks but I told him what mixer to use it was fine and tasted good so mo real complaint though I could tell he was a little frazzled, understandably when faced with an unknown. The space is great. Comfy. Way comfy. Service: Inconsistent. Food is good but $99 for a lunch (1pasta, 1 salad, soup and cauliflower). Clubs's value is in them knowing you and your preferences but servers are high turnover and lack training. Long timer server is moody and seemed frown avoiding eye contact most visits. The problems wrought by the pandemic are maybe slowly being solved. But being just a branch club in a mega-corporation (Club Corp) may be insurmountable. read more

Overall, the food here was really good and well portioned. The interior is so mesmerizing and beautifully laid out. Our food came out really fast and was so delicious. I ordered a smoothie and fries and the smoothie was top notch (I've had better fries though). Everyone I dined with enjoyed their meals. This place seems like a great space to work at or get a drink and some food with friends. Very spacious both inside and outside. Food was awesome and so was the drink list (20 oz beers for $4 heck yeah). 4 of us friends got sat outside since we had our pups. The hostess was very kind and so were several of the other staff that interacted with our table, including quickly bringing out heaters and umbrellas when it started sprinkling rain. However our server Arlesa made the whole experience uncomfortable. We were genuinely curious what we did to make her mad at us since her mood drastically changed when we did not order entrees immediately after ordering appetizers. She hardly made eye contact with us after we said we would need about 5 more minutes and made a remark like "well I don't know if I will be back in 5 minutes." She didn't come back for at least 20 (we weren't mad bc we weren't in a rush at all) and when we said we were ready to order she made a sassy remark back saying "oh you still wanted entrees?" Then she came back with food and another round but was very short with every person, not ever making eye contact, and even walked away before taking everyone's drink orders when the guys' drinks were clearly empty. When I asked about a few dishes I was choosing between she just said "it's good" to all three and offered no additional commentary lol. The whole thing was strange and once I saw that gratuity was already included in the bill, I realized that her attitude had no repercussions and that was disappointing. I don't like to rate something based on service alone but it was just so bizarre and uncomfortable so we probably won't return. A shame because the food and space were both great. read more

How fun is this place?? Pretty fun!! It's a membership based facility where you can get drinks, food, play games! Even lounge! It's new and shiny!! Gorgeously built! They have two different side of the facility. One has all things you need to work, relax, lounge! Other side has cabanas, couches, tables, bars. High ceiling! Quite pretty! And quite great! Loved it all! The drinks menu is reasonably priced. So is food. Stick to their featured cocktails. It all comes with beautiful side snacks. Loved the "Seattle sunshine". Charcuterie plate was quite gorgeous too!! Oh and their lounge side though! Love the hammock!! Swings! Even the showers was quite nice!! All of this could be yours for a monthly fee!! I ordered a spirit forward bourbon drink because I wanted something boozy for the night and got served a tart drink in a champagne flute. I confronted our server and asked her to check if I got the correct drink. She quickly responds with "it's probably not the bartender doesn't know what he's doing, I'll make you one myself". She comes back 10 minutes later with an off menu drink that definitely has bourbon in it but is not the spirit forward drink that I wanted. I drank it but it was definitely not what I wanted. Just joined as a member at this awesome SLU spot. I come here to attend workshops, grab lunch, meet friends, work, chill - you name it. I'm even coming for the New Year's party this year, which I'm so excited about!! Their food is very decent and I'm excited to attend a happy hour here sometime soon - I hear it's off the hook. The mornings here are awesome for working because it's a little more chill and quiet usually. Later in the day, it seems to become more social which makes sense. The decor is absolutely amazing, created by 4 local artists who crafted the space based upon the natural surroundings in the Pacific Northwest. I'm so grateful to have been given a tour by Alex, the director of membership, on my first visit, and upon hearing what all they have to offer, was hooked immediately. They have lots of events going on all the time, and are open Saturdays. I went to a meditation + tea event last week that was awesome too, with a high quality instructor/guide that led me through an awesome morning meditation. They have a climbing wall, tons of cozy spaces to sit, lots of great nourishment for you to enjoy, and best of all - friendly faces to help you accomplish all your goals in the space. If you want to pay $11 for a mocktail this is the place for you. I ordered a watermelon, cucumber, mint drink thing and when I got the bill I was a bit surprised. I asked the waiter after I paid my bill about the price, and he explained that the bartender had to muddle my cucumber and mint and it wasn't just pouring some juice in a glass. He said he would charge $9 if it were up to him ..... I suppose $9 for a non-alcoholic drink is better? I then asked how much would the drink be with alcohol and it was $2 more for the alcohol. Basically I felt ripped off by the bar lol! The waiter in general was very attentive to us and seemed quite experienced. Before i joined, the mgmt led me to believe that one could suspend membership (i was gona be out of town for a couple of months) only to find out much later on (after i'd joined) from someone else on their mgmt team that it wasn't an option. then they told me their cancellation terms are included on their membership agreement but when i checked, this wasn't the case. When i asked for them to show me where, they then said its actually on the FAQs on their website. The member acct interface is not that user friendly which makes one have to interact with their mgmt team. They did offer me dining credits but after all that misleading, inconsistent information it just wasnt worth it for me. read more

I lived across the street from this place and so naturally it was convenient, I purchased from the pantry and had a great experience with Judith, always super nice and welcoming. I am not a member and i had previously gone, to support this business during the pandemic. I understand that previously you could not go without being a member but every server there never said anything or asked for our member id because they need the business and it is easy for us to walk across the street. We went one day for dinner because I didn't feel like cooking and we know many members of the collective. When we were seated it was very pleasant and the server was very nice, he knew we were not members and still served us. A couple of minutes later a blonde hair woman with glasses comes, she is very rude and unpleasant and asked us to write our member number on a piece of paper. We told her we were not members and that we had been there for dinner many times. We also purchase lunches there from the walk up window. The place was empty and she told us we were not allowed there because we were not members. She was very unprofessional and rude and just has no tact for or customer service skills at all. I told her we would just walk away and go to another restaurant in the area that needs the customers because I know it's a tough time. She told us we could stay but we could not come again. Again very rude tone. Months pass by and we move away but my husband remembers the burritos we bought which are great. I also remember the article that said they were open to the public and no longer to members only. I called to place the order and was put on hold by the same person for 20 min. I hang up and call again a Judith responds and takes the order right away and apologizes. When I arrived the blonde hair woman with glasses opens the window and is super rude, doesn't say hi or anything. I just tell her I am picking up the burrito and she walks away and talks to Judith and then she comes and brings the burrito. I have tried to like this place but this woman makes the experience very unpleasant. We will not be coming back because every single time she treats us like we are not important and like she owns the place. My advice to the owners is to hire people who have customer service skills. We have spent money in this place and mind you we get charged a service fee on top of the taxes and we tip because we understand that people need their tips but I cannot continue to spend the amount of money on a place where I will be treated like shit. Excuse my French but this lady has no customer service skills. Pay for her to take customer service skills. That's my advice. I am done. Will buy burritos from tacos chukis or other places. I am discouraged by the managements treatment of new members. I moved to Seattle for a brief period of time, working remote (as many are in COVID times) seemed a lot easier with the collective. I visited and worked from the collective a total of two times. Before getting told I was being laid off. I called to cancel my membership(7/22) Was told "your membership is cancelled" And am now(8/27) getting charged 300$ every single day, sometimes twice a day! I don't have the 300$ due to COVID the loss of my job. So my bank is having a hay day racking up over draft fees. As they take the 300$ I incur a fee, then refund it due to "not enough funds" leaving me with a fee. This has happened 7 times. 7x the 35$ overdraft fee= 245$) I tried bringing this up with the management team. Who gave me some silly excuse that I have a 30 day cancellation notice. And refuse to do anything to help me. Do not recommend. They are a money hungry, not member oriented, scam of a company. read more

The interior to this place is so awesome. I came here recently for a Bumble Bizz networking event, and it is a really great space for meeting people! There are all kinds of fun furniture and lounge areas, and even a rock climbing wall. If I wasn't required to show up to the office M - F, I would definitely become a member to take my work here. read more

The collective very nice bar, bartender very nice, came into the bar about 515 during their happy hour five dollar wines, again very nice. Came back after my board meeting with three other people wanting to just get drinks, was approached by a server saying do you have a membership? I told her I did not know you needed a membership, I was just here an hour ago and had drinks with a friend. She stated the memberships require but let me go get the bar manager to see what we can do, next this y man walked up to me stating, do you have a membership, I stated to him that the server was going to go get the bar manager, he stated that he was the bar manager, I told him I was just here an hour ago and had drinks with a friend. He stayed it you just walked in and had drinks, I told him yes, He stated the membership is required to have drinks here, again , I repeated that I had w just was here about an hour ago and nobody asked me about a membership I just walked in, he looked at me surprise stating you just walked in, I said yes. He stated to me their drinks are a little expensive and you must have a membership. Again maybe the way I was dressed he proceeded again to tell me how expensive their drinks are, five dollar wines are not expensive but I was a little insulted and I told him that. I understand as a members only bar, but there is a way that you approach potential members and maybe he should approach the different way. It did not look like the collective want my money five dollar wines are not expensive, and if I can afford $160 shots of tequila per shot. This place is a joke. Beware that the 20% service charge on items doesnt go to the service staff. Unfortunately I cannot justify leaving any other tip because of this service charge. So i will continue to dine and drink here without leaving any other tip. My hope is that all the service staff quits this scam of a job and finds other options in the hospitality industry. This is the only way that this policy will change. Don't leave a tip (because its included in the 20% service charge), hope that servers wise up and find better employment with better restaurants, and eventually management will remove this BS charge once they realize nobody wants to work for them and they're struggling to find people.
